we're treading dangerous waters...

Yup <3
I bought the LG G2 today. I love it so far. I already rooted it, installed CWM and now I'm going to install Xposed to customize some stuff.
I also found out my PC's motherboard has a feature to super-charge USB ports when an Apple device is connected. After about 3 seconds of Googling I found a way to use it to charge the G2 too.
Also, the G2 makes my SGSII look tiny and shitty:

Just ordered my Nexus 5
wondering if I should buy the G2 or the nexus 5?

I've heard some bad things about CWM, it was having some serious issues and AFAIK I'm not sure they were fixed. TWRP has been the goto from what I can see on XDA, as long as you check use rm -rf or whatever in settings instead of formatting clearing the cache takes like 2 seconds compared to 8 minutes.
Xposed G2 has some pretty neat stuff in it, the stock rom wasn't really for me as I couldn't setup Google Voice and Light Flow didn't work.

Price is the only deciding factor, everything is better on the G2 unless only having 10,000 AOSP roms as your choice of roms is for you. It's a really great phone and development is rolling pretty well, 4.4 roms are on their way and LG is shooting to have it on 4.4 by the end of 2013.

a G2 will actually be cheaper than a nexus 5 around here, huh. then the answer is obvious, a G2 it is.
Finally flashed the factory 4.4 image, disappointed with the lack of Google Experience just like everyone else but it feels more snappy and responsive and the white looks so much nicer.
I want 4.4 OTA to happen now, I'm sick of this staged rollout shit. Can I flash it manually without formatting my device without running into issues?
FYI, if you're pissed that the stock 4.4 Nexus 4 image doesn't have a transparent lockscreen status+navbar, there's a fix on XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47486165
WARNING: Only flash THAT file, from post #62, otherwise you're risking a bootloop (other uploads had incorrect file permissions set).
WARNING 2: The lockscreen will have a transparent status bar, but to have a transparent navbar you need to have a launcher with transparency (GEL, Nova launcher beta).

garychencool, enjoy. I'll send more next month.
Note 3 approaching 150 hours, only 3 application stops because of my magazine. Cleared cache and it's working fine again. Loving this phone

Okay, so an LG G2 costs a tiny bit more than a Nexus 5 here in Sweden. Would a G2 still be worth getting right now, considering the fact that the nexus 5 isn't even out here yet?
Hey who here uses the official sound cloud app?
When you log in and you reboot your device, does it tell you to log in again?

It's a better all around phone, battery is significantly bigger(2300mah vs. 3000mah), camera is significantly better(13mp vs 8mp), screen is bigger, rear facing buttons, ir remote and IMO it's a better looking phone aside from the back being a big fingerprint smudge. The only thing you lose from the Nexus 5 is the specific Nexus device support(1st and 3rd party) and wireless charging. Cases and what not aren't as plentiful as for the N5 but there's plenty of great ones and that's all that really matters.
I think the rear facing buttons are the best idea ever after nearly a month of ownership, the extra screen space allows on screen nav to not be totally intrusive although it's incredible with PIE nav and my careful DPI tweaking on Houstonn's DarkPA build. I wake up monday and charge it tuesday night if I don't play games on my phone easily, although I don't do this often. I haven't drained the battery past 30% in 3 weeks so I'll bet on a daily charger making this battery last like 5 years really. If you get the 32GB it's super fast and this phone is actually USB3.0.
considering that the G2 has active developer attention, it's not really that important to have a nexus device considering you can just flash AOSP or CM on it
Can I just be really pissed that the year is almost over and the TF700T is still on 4.2. It was supposed to get 4.3 in Q3.

I was supposed to get 4.2 in Q2 this year, and was supposed to get 4.3 Q3 this year as well. padfone 2, I share your anger
How fast does the nexus 7 2013 charge at?
Like percent per minute.
Then it's like "Oh, yeah, the TF701 system imagee with 4.3 is published on the Asus site" and I'm like FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!

You're just gonna have to be patient, just like the rest of us. If you be a good little boy/girl, maybe in a few weeks the Google Gods will deem you worthy.

One can only hope i guess.
You can update the 2012 N7 to 4.4 with ADB sideload without having to unlock your bootloader, root or loose any data.

I got it, but not by waiting. I sideloaded the update.zip, you can do the same without losing data with the factory image, so long as the bootloader is unlocked. If not I'm pretty sure you can sideload the update.zip with a locked bootloader.

I rather wait for it to pop up on my device instead of sideloading it (which i have no idea how to do) or even unlock the bootloader.
