haha hahaha bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaa... AHAHAHAHAHAHHAH
Well it would probably run smoother than it is now.
It most likely would, but there's exactly no chance ever that Sony is going to update a non-flagship phone from 2011 to Android 4.4.
FYI, if you're pissed that the stock 4.4 Nexus 4 image doesn't have a transparent lockscreen status+navbar, there's a fix on XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47486165 WARNING: Only flash THAT file, from post #62, otherwise you're risking a bootloop (other uploads had incorrect file permissions set). WARNING 2: The lockscreen will have a transparent status bar, but to have a transparent navbar you need to have a launcher with transparency (GEL, Nova launcher beta). [editline]15th November 2013[/editline] garychencool, enjoy. I'll send more next month.
Yea i have no idea how to install that. I tried signing it manually but it still wont install. [editline]16th November 2013[/editline] Ok it looks like one file in the apk fails to sing properly. Not sure why or how to fix it. Specifically: res/layout/screen_simple_overlay_action_mode.xml [editline]16th November 2013[/editline] Yea i don't have any idea what im doing :/

Just download it, copy the zip to your phone (any folder you know how to get to from recovery), and assuming you have a custom recovery (CWM/TWRP), navigate to that folder and flash the zip. Then reboot. However, you'll have to flash future OTA updates manually, because you modified a system file. (but having a custom recovery probably does the same thing already) Works just like on the Nexus 5: [t]http://i.imgur.com/w3bEmYW.jpg[/t]
Yea I figured it out. I just needed to isntall a custom recovery.
What about multi tasking on Android tablets? I'm talking about running two apps side by side at the same time.
What about multi tasking on Android tablets? I'm talking about running two apps side by side at the same time.
So when in landscape mode, it's showing 2 apps side-by-side in portrait mode? And when in portrait mode, it shows 2 apps in landscape mode stacked ontop of each other.
What about multi tasking on Android tablets? I'm talking about running two apps side by side at the same time.
OmniROM is working on it, but Android was never built for that, so it's a bit awkward, and their current implementation is extremely shit.
You know what confounds me? [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7333627/pics/Screenshot_2013-11-16-14-39-37.png[/t] Why is Greenwich, the city that all time in the entire world is based around, not in this list?

London in general is the more appropriate choice these days.
But it's freaking called GMT, Greenwich Mean Time!
Screw time!
Yea I figured it out. I just needed to isntall a custom recovery.
Lol. Well i got it installed, except it showed a blank black screen instead of the lockscreen. Went back to the normal one for now till i can figure this out.

My mind has just been blown. [editline]16th November 2013[/editline] I thought it was a city that was way North of London.
OmniROM is working on it, but Android was never built for that, so it's a bit awkward, and their current implementation is extremely shit.
AFAIK Samsung's implementation is working pretty well though.
AFAIK Samsung's implementation is working pretty well though.
How's the compatibility with third party apps though? Last I remember, app devs either had to add somekind of an "enable switch" to their app code, or you had to root and install an app that did it for all your apps. I expect the OmniROM implementation to have none of this, BUT I haven't read about it at all.
I'm looking at OmniROM's website and I can't seem to find a feature list. What is it? What does it bring to the table that AOSP, Cyanogen, etc. doesn't?
i just want to choose my general inbox google please dont do this to me [t]http://puu.sh/5kl5q.png[/t]
I had this same problem, randomly happened to my Gmail app. Fixed when I flashed a new ROM, try just reinstalling Gmail?
i just want to choose my general inbox google please dont do this to me [t]http://puu.sh/5kl5q.png[/t]
My YouTube app on both my phone and my tablet have a glitch where it likes to randomly remove subscriptions and repeat others. So if I want to visit a specific channel, I need to manually search for it.
I had this same problem, randomly happened to my Gmail app. Fixed when I flashed a new ROM, try just reinstalling Gmail?
its just a new update they did, and its really fucking annoying [editline]16th November 2013[/editline] just no option now to select general inbox for the homescreen widget

Since then on other Roms it's been perfectly fine. I couldn't find anyone else with the problem when I had it a few months ago.
Damn, im loving this 4.4 update, now that i have the full Nexus 5 swag, i feel awesome. Best money spent on a cellphone ever.
Damn, im loving this 4.4 update, now that i have the full Nexus 5 swag, i feel awesome. Best money spent on a cellphone ever.
I'm saving up for it. As it will take prety long to save 349 €, it will be more than enough time to take the lifetime out of this Y300.
sweeeet
Is it actually functional? Because if it is, I'll swap over from my current ROM, even though I'll lose shitloads of functionality, just so I can rub it in one dude's face, who has an Xperia Z1.
