Noticed a comment on the Google Rewards app, does anyone use an ad blocker who can't use it too? To the couple people that it worked for here, are you using one?
So I bought an app a long time ago, never really used it and now I can't find it on Google play. It seems like the developer isn't there anymore on Google play. Banned? I dunno. Anyways could I contact Google for a refund?
Who's idea was it to not ship the Nexus 5 with a screen protector, I'm shit scared to take it out. Other than that, amazing device!
The day I liberated myself from the screen protector was the best day
Have been using my S3 protector-less for a year and the only scuffs are completely unnoticable around the edges unless you turn the screen off and look at the phone from a really shallow angle
The pledges are going towards a new (or better) phone. If my family get a tablet, the pledges are still going towards a new phone.
What I meant was that you are not asking for financial support for paying bills or getting a surgery or something, so it is not the end of the world if my money somehow ends up not going towards a phone. I do not need to trust you (though I do) to pledge money.
Therefore everyone else should do. We must fry the potato.
What's funny is that Sony had screen protectors applied on the device when got you opened the box. Even my phone got one. It wasn't particularly well placed on but good enough. Then I see HTC and Samsung devices not having this.
What's even better is that inside the box included another screen protector, ready to apply and everything. The difference was that this one you had to apply and you could apply it correctly. It was also thicker and stickier than the protective film already on the device.
Anyways you can get a screen protector for your device, whatever it is for a dollar each off eBay. I got a set of 5 for my phone a long time ago for a dollar.
Sony also didn't put oleophobic coatings on the glass underneath, so to actually get an oleophobic surface it would require going out to buy a set of glass screen protectors.

I've been using my one with a glass screen protector. Feels great.

Disabled adblocking on my phone, reinstalled Google Opinion Awards and suddenly it started working! I now have $1 of play credit!
Hey does anyone remember what the link was to the modded steam with holo ui?
Not sure if this is the right one but it should be.
Edit: Woops, link should work now...
No it's not.
Source: been using it all day, every day for over 2 years.
That's not a screen protector, it's some kind of anti-fingers thingy. It doesn't do shit to protect your screen.

I that case, the screen is either more durable than I though or something.
They also removed all blue and replaced with grey/white. Looks fucking shit. It is so depressing to use and look at

I like the removal of blue; it makes my customization just a little bit nicer looking now that I don't need to worry about working around the stupid blue that's always present.
Im still surprised no one made the Jelly Bean Easteregg a live wallpaper.
Its the best easteregg in my opinion, so, why not?
Or atleast an app that lets daydreams run as Live Wallpapers (Which i think its not possible).

If you have custom roms on it then it would be better for you. My forever locked bootloader sucks
I told Google Now via voice to give me Deus Ex weapon mod locations.

Android Phones: Your Personal Shitting Companion
Well shit, WinAmp is shutting down and now, just in case, I need to look for an app that plays shoutcast streams, anyone know a good app?
Foobar probably does it in one way or another.

I forgot I was in the Android thread. Sorry.
I agree though.
I usually get one when I first buy the device but after I stop caring so much I don't replace it when it falls off

(A screen protector that is, I was looking at the wrong page lol)

When I was writing it there was like 4 replies in a row talking so I thought i'd just post a reply, turns out I was a page or so behind
Also I've found super cheap screen protectors get scratched and look like absolute shit really easily, I just keep my S3's screen naked and so far it's barely got a mark on it
The screen protectors I'm using don't seem to scratch as easily as yours but I've been using it for months. Recently put a new one on because someone thought it would be funny to rip it off, stick it in a dusty computer and try putting it back on.
A new one was applied the next day.
I dunno, maybe you got some better quality ones

5 for $0.99 on auction.
Even though I was behind the computer at my desk, my tablet's battery is 28%.
I'm not complaining, though, I've been reading a book and working for uni on it all day :v:.
A couple of days ago a friend in uni said he wouldn't buy a tablet because he already has a smartphone and a laptop. You can't program comfortably on a tablet with a touch screen keyboard. I agreed with his point, smartphones can do pretty much everything a tablet can do. The difference for me, I said, was the pen input on the tablet. You guys know how happy I am with that little pen, so I got all enthusiastic in showing him how the pen helps me so much.
He was impressed, but he still wouldn't buy a tablet.
It's a fair choice, not everyone benefits as much from pen input as I do with university. Some people might find it hard or annoying to write on a glass surface with something that feels like rubber on glass (or hard plastic on glass if you change the tip)
Oh, that reminds me. There's a promotion for the new Play Newsstand. There are several free and discounted magazines avaliable right now for a limited time.
I just picked up all of the free ones.
