I'm really tempted to put Gummy ROM on my LG G2, just for 4.4. Can you guys refresh my memory here? I'll lose everything on my phone to do this, right? Texts, apps, app data, etc etc. And then I won't be able to update from OTA updates or any ROM updates without wiping the phone again?
Does anybody (Looking at you here Gary) know what the best camera app is on Android? now I've got money to spend I can finally get something
I like using procapture because I like the controls I get, it seems to be more comprehensive than any other app . All of the settings you'll ever really need to change or want to change is on the left side. You can set JPEG compression settings and you'll get more resolution options. There's also many focus modes to choose from and a panoramic mode that doesn't force you to do 180 degree photos. You can easily stop at 120 degrees or whatever you want. It doesn't do sweep panoramas.
If you're looking for a DSLR emulated camera app, give camera fv-5 a try. To can set stuff like iso if the stock app can do that. The iso setting doesn't effect my potato Camera. You also get what aperture and shutter speed you're using for the photo. You can't change the aperture since all of them on pretty much all devices are locked. For shutter speed, it's variable and can be changed with exposure compensation unless it's already and the slowest so it would just increase your iso unless you already set it.
Finally found some Google Play Kitkats, didn't win on any of them.
Where?! Haven't managed to find any here in the UK.
Post them upc codes!
Still haven't seen any Android Kitkats.

The only time I've ever seen a big advertising banner stand thingy is at a convenience store. Either way, you just enter the upc codes.
I see them everywhere here now, redeemed a couple, won nothing.
It won't let me enter any more. If I can find the paper, I can give ya'll some codes.

Why doesn't it let you enter any more? It should be unlimited.

Found them on a 4 pack of Kit Kat Chunky's from the Co-op. Only get one code though.
I haven't won anything for the last month or so.

That's how it works in Canada, everywhere else (US and UK anyway) there are unique codes inside each package that you enter.

It's on the outside here, also the bar code counts as one entry as well, so the first time you get one type of kitkat product you can enter that bar code AND the unique code in the contest.

Oh, nice. That's even more broken.
I'm surprised they didn't do it with only unique codes everywhere.
Not been able to find any of the Android KitKats local to me.
Only ones they ever seem to have is the ones where you can win another KitKat.
So basically using the same upc codes I've been using for the last minute month was useless?
Holo Launcher HD has been updated for KitKat too.
Seems nice, but i prefer the Nova launcher.
Good thing is, even the old version is kitkat-styled. Meaning that GB users can get a bit of KitKat on their phones.
I can't decide on a notification sound. Any suggestions?

The Stalker scream from Half Life 2.

Stock Android 4.0+ sounds
Nexus 5 sounds (don't get why these aren't part of 4.4 on other Nexus phones, but whatever - http://www.droidviews.com/download-nexus-5-official-stock-wallpapers/)
iOS7 sounds
Portal 2 button positive/button negative sounds http://www.thinkwithportals.com/music.php
To me, these are the only good sounding notification sounds.

If you're on KitKat I use "Rhea" it sounds really nice.

I'd wait a bit as the Gummy rom is pretty early in development for the G2, Houstonn just got the ball rolling today for AOSPA 4.4 roms on every other device and there's been quite a few things to work out.

You'll need to install TWRP, do a factory reset and install the rom. Paranoid Android has OTA updates so who needs the silly stock OTA updates. Don't bother with CWM, it's garbage for our G2.
AFAIK the G2 is the second phone to get AOSPA 4 next to the Nexus 4, not even the Nexus 5 has it yet. :v:

Speaking of launcher updates, Apex Launcher Pro just updated a few days with 4.4 so expect that really soon as an alternative to Nova. I'm still on 4.3 though, probably later today or tomorrow I'll be updating to the official PA 4.4 alpha.

If you're Canadian like your flagdog says then use these 5 daily:
05980331
059800204736
059800623360
059800216920
059800299367
I've had the best luck spacing the entries out throughout the day, instead of doing all 5 at once
would a canadian IP work with that stuff??

You will NEVER miss it
My roommate has a Galaxy S3 he's had for about a year and a half, with shit loads of pictures of that time, including pictures of his newborn baby. His girlfriend was using the phone and it restarted on her, and when it started back up everything was gone apparently. All the pictures, settings, everything. Like it had been factory reset. I haven't had a chance to look at it just yet, but I can't believe the phone would just reset itself out of the blue.

Yeah... I think I may have heard of this before. Auto backup, man. It's a damn life saver.
