Nobody uses their phone or tablet for work, it's all play.
Picking up an S4 tomorrow. Line in the store was way too long even later in the evening. Hopefully arriving first thing in the morning tomorrow will grant me some kindness.
False. I work with spreadsheets every so often in Drive on my GNex on the way to class.
It was a joke/generalization.
False. Jokes are funny. [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/be/Rainn_Wilson.jpg[/t] [editline]29th November 2013[/editline] Just kidding <3
I typed entire essays, journals and other documents on my phone for a while now. Yes office productivity is actually possible on my particular type of potato. I mainly used OfficeSuite Pro 6 as it was the best looking and most efficient office productivity suite app I tried out of the 5 or so others. And probably be a I picked it up for either 10 or 25 cents. Best sales ever. QuickOffice at the time looked like crap, so did everything else except kingsoft. Drive was a laggy mess and had no offline editing support (even today). Everything else was expensive. Waiting for Microsoft to release their office apps, I'd try them but ditch them if they require some stupid subscription that I'm never going to be able to get/would get. I did not really use my physical keyboard much so it was mostly using SwiftKey on screen Keyboard. For anyone else who uses their phone or tablet for actual work, what work, what is it for, what apps you using and what device(s)?
Microsoft already has Office Apps I believe. They do not make mobile productivity not suck, though. I do not think anybody can.
At this point the S4 no longer makes sense, go get a G2 if you want an S4.
G2 has no SD slot so you get significantly less storage. Also many people prefer OLED over LCD since they have different pros and cons e.g. S4 screen looks better at night, G2 screen looks better during the day. Other than those two points, G2 wins in the rest of the specs.

So far office suite seems to be the best as it has a bunch of features, the ability to open stuff from Google Drive, drop box, etc. The formatting I see on the screen is more or less the same on Microsoft Word (as I would open it to print on a computer). What I want is live editing via the app under Google drive. That would be pretty useful. I'm currently still using a combo of office suite and Google Drive for my typing crap up on Android.

Buy a G2, S4 has reached the EoL for a flagship and is replaced by other phones at the exact same price. Every carrier has it for about half the price on contract that the S4/One are still even after 9 months.

The G2 one me over with most of it's specs/features, but the missing SD card slot is a real problem. I haven't had it for very long yet, but I already only have 5GB storage left and when that's full I'm shit out of luck. I'll have to start deleting stuff on my 2013 FLAGSHIP PHONE just so I can take pictures. That's crazy and unacceptable.
How do you even fill 32gb? I've got 8Gb and thats more than enough for me.
Finally flashed PAC on my tablet, goodbye shitty 4.1 stock, hello buggy shit that's better than stock :v: [editline]30th November 2013[/editline] And buggy is right, every time I get a notification, System UI crashes :V
How do you even fill 32gb? I've got 8Gb and thats more than enough for me.
Couple games, music, backups. Each several GB in size adds up pretty quickly.
Wiped cache and dalvik, still happening, this wasn't a problem before I turned HALO on and off :v: [editline]30th November 2013[/editline] Okay what the fuck, it only happens if HALO is turned off, this thing doesn't like being ignored
Since updating to 4.4 on my Nexus 7 2013 (WiFi only), it's randomly restarted twice. Didn't manually update it, got the update from Google; not rooted either. I don't remember the exact day I updated, but it hasn't been more than a week. The first time I was just browsing the Play Store, and the second I was reading something on Play Books. The audio playing in the background (Pandora) cut off about 5 or so seconds before it restarted, the second time. Nothing playing the first. Has this happened to anyone else since updating to 4.4 :o? [editline].[/editline] Since making this post, it's restarted without warning two other times while reading on Play Books.
I fixed it, reflashed PAC and vowed to never touch HALO again
How do you even fill 32gb? I've got 8Gb and thats more than enough for me.
Install a couple games from Humble Android Bundle, there goes 2GB. Currently I am using around 40GB on my phone and have 80GB in total
I fixed it, reflashed PAC and vowed to never touch HALO again
It's all about Omni. Even the nightlies are stable. PA and Omni > everything else
It's all about Omni. Even the nightlies are stable. PA and Omni > everything else
i would also say Omni > pa, as most of pa features can be used though the xposed framework
How do you even fill 32gb? I've got 8Gb and thats more than enough for me.
Large games are large, high end 3D games can range from a hundred MB to a few GB. Mainly 3D gameloft games are huge. GT Racing 2 - 1 GB Gangstar Vegas - 2.6GB Modern combat 4 - 2GB Order and chaos online - 1.6GB And a bunch of others would fill up storage very quickly. If you take photos and videos, it takes up storage. Especially video for whatever it is.
I usually upload all my photos and then transfer them to my desktop. I don't buy stuff from the play store so I don't play any of those gigantic games. My experience with Gameloft in the past is shit.
I have stuff like Wikipedia offline on my phone that takes up about 3.6GB.
I have stuff like Wikipedia offline on my phone that takes up about 3.6GB.
I have a fuckload of videos and pictures that I'd like to show other people on the whim if I want to. I'm also too broke for mobile internet, so yeah.
How big do you think GTA: SA will be?
How big do you think GTA: SA will be?
I dunno, PC version was more or less 4GB, i think it will be 2 or 3 gigs. Size doesnt matter, this is a game thats worth cleaning the cellphone.
Max Payne and gta vice city was 1.4GB each so SA would probably be a bit more but probably 2GB or less.
htc one + kit kat + sense 5.5 + art i deult this will work but ill try anyway

But for your situation, you can always get a MeeNova or similar (www.meenova.com). It's compatible with the G2.
