I used hangouts with a few people regularly if that counts.
Did I tell everybody here to try out https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=edu.berkeley.boinc yet? It's folding@home but for your Android device. It's pretty nice. Probably best if your smartphone is high-end and has more than 1GB of RAM, though. (I would recommend joining the World Community Grid project)
I used hangouts with a few people regularly if that counts.
I only use hangouts mostly with the same 2 people and occasionally with some others. I rarely used Skype now.
Does anyone here even use g+?
I use it all the time, but mostly as a news app since I don't have many friends who use it. If my friends used it it would probably work really well for that purpose.
Does anyone here even use g+?
I use it to follow tech blogs and for my local Ingress group.
Does anyone here even use g+?
I use it all the time, everyone I know uses it, plus all the communities and Ingress. Don't seem to have anyone from Facepunch circled on G+
There wouldn't be much reason to have me in any of your circles, unless you want to do a Hangout with me :v:
I do use Hangouts all the time too on all my devices and computer. It's a good way to miss an entire afternoon by checking out the Ingress Hangouts :P counted 14 just for the Resistance ones I'm part of.
on the xda forums, what's the difference between "(phone) original android development" and just "(phone) android development"?
Got my Nexus 5 last night, couldn't be happier with it. First thing I've used that has voice commands and can understand my Glasgow accent. Amazing. Gotta wait on my new sim card though which sucks.
on the xda forums, what's the difference between "(phone) original android development" and just "(phone) android development"?
I dunno but it really shits me. S1 forums just have Development, S4 forums has like 5 different boards for development. So annoying.
Does anyone here even use g+?
I use it a lot. [editline]3rd December 2013[/editline] Wow, shitty pageking.
When I'm home on the computer I got G+ and Hangouts always open in a tab, and when out I still use it all the time on the phone and tablet, it's fairly much where I hang out on the internet. Also happy I finally got my black badge for 150 day guardian in Ingress :P the stupid Enlightened kept missing it in the last week.
Do you have the hangouts chrome extension?
on the xda forums, what's the difference between "(phone) original android development" and just "(phone) android development"?
Original Development is for like big name official roms and first/important releases, the other is for everything else. It's basically a way to keep a smaller forum for major releases so that hundreds of modified stock roms don't flood over a thread for an official CM rom that isn't being discussed anymore.
Do you have the hangouts chrome extension?
I don't, I have a pinned tab of G+ in Chrome, Hangouts from there when on the computer.

I've used hangouts in the past while doing tabletop RPG stuff.
on the xda forums, what's the difference between "(phone) original android development" and just "(phone) android development"?
As far I understood it, given that I only frequent the Note subforum, Original development seems to be were roms are located that can be used as a base and development as where people publish their roms that are based on another. But then I found roms like PAC rom in original which merge 3 rom "bases".
I always thought that "Android develeopments" consists of ROMs, loosely or fully based on stock one, and "Original android" for everything else (AOSP, CM, AOKP...) Also, if I remember correctly, Gorilla Glass is some sort of tempered glass. This type of glass can withstand a lot of front damage, but is extremely fragile to damage from edges and corners. And it leaves no small glass fragments upon shattering.
Does anyone here even use g+?
I do. You have to realize that G+ is basically Twitter for people who aren't so stupid that they can fit their entire brains into 140 characters. After that, the entire service sort of starts to unveil itself, and it's great because a lot of the online celebrities who aren't 100% actually use the service, like Wil Wheaton, all the Android developers from Google+, people from CyanogenMod etc.
Quoting a 2 year old comment... This guy... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48056337#post48056337
I bet the rest of the parts excluding the battery went waaay too high.
I don't know if anyone here can help, but I've been getting a strange glitch with my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. The smart cover case I have will cause funny things to happen when it's folded on the backside of the case (as in open, not covering the screen). I think the magnets are too strong or the sensors are too sensitive, because sometimes it will think I have closed the case when I've really just folded it back. The last weird and frustrating thing is that Touchwiz won't work when the case is folded back. Sure enough, as soon as I pull off the case it works fine. It seems that all of these issues are caused by the case, so is there anything I can do to fix it?

Went back to bone stock on my Note 2, can't USB tether my Wifi connection anymore without a "Subscription" (verizon being greedy.) So I try out FoxFi and it has an insanely low "free" limit, and their excuse for buying into it is "Well it's less expensive than subscribing to the tether service!" 1. It shouldn't cost money to tether wifi to a computer, period. (The network chip in my laptop sucks.) 2. Fuck off. I'll pay you your stupid eight dollars because it's the only thing that works, but I'm not going to like it.
Ordered a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 for my mom yesterday on amazon for Christmas. Only 1.2 GHz and 8 gigs of memory, ouch. Do you think this will be enough for her to just connect to our wifi and check her email, browse the web, have a few apps installed for productivity and writing for work? She won't be using it heavily, and gaming - not at all, does anyone own one?

The digitizer sucks, I had to tap stuff several times to get it to register, but it's a decent screen and the hardware's alright.

Welp, I just hope its enough for her basic web browsing needs.
