Compared to my N5, the tablet is a lag monster. Scrolling websites stutters all the time, the keyboard lags almost a second behind, ingress feels like it's running at most 20fps. It's far from smooth. At least it didn't have any trouble starting and running ART, keep hearing troubles people running like CM are having
Well, I have CM11 nightlies and it starts, at least :v:
I'm using ART on my N4 ever since 4.4.1 fixed a couple bugs in ART, and nothing crashed, my phone didn't bootloop, in fact everything works and is a bit faster than before.
Yeah, there was no official upgrade path for it from HP.
And I couldn't get past pinging last time I tried speedtest.net. Straight up would not load. Part of it is the computer, part of it is that everybody in the world, including myself, is constantly drinking up bandwidth with xbox, netflix, etc.
My day isn't complete if I haven't been booted from the network at least 3 times.
[editline]8th December 2013[/editline]
Laptop tells me 2.4Mbps down, .64 up. Ping 22.

Yes, the decimals are in the right place.
Still faster speeds than I get. 78 KB/s is painful to use.
On the topic of modems, ironically switching to a brand new Bell WiFi router from an old DSL single-port modem made my ping higher on some games. Even if the WiFi is off and the computer is the only thing connected to it.
But then again it's Bell so screw it.
I just realized I posted this in the Android thread. I was spending a good portion of the morning looking for these in CIPWTTKT. :v: Ah well.
I still haven't gotten 4.4.1 on my Nexus5, it says it's up to date every time I do check for updates. Should I just install it manually?
for some reason, poweramp keeps adding 2 of every song when it scans for new songs, and im 100% sure theres no duplicate files, does anyone have a fix?
I don't want to have the processes competing for resources, the computer is slow enough as it is (wasn't really build for Win8). Also, I've got the laptop.
And I should be working on my semester final paper, too...
Lower the process priority in Task Manager.
It will still say 100% CPU or whatever it says at first, but once you actually do shit that needs your CPU it will hand it over.
good god I just noticed the wallpaper is a 5
And on the Nexus 7 box, the wallpaper is a 7.
Installed CM11 On my GS3 i9300
Gotta say I'm pleased, tried art out but It felt laggier so I switched bag to dalvik
Think it's a rom thing (that's what googling says) I can't download any purchased apps from the play store which annoys me beacuse I just bought Riptide G2 :(
Gonna have to wait for a patch on my next nightly
For the ones using Google music, how much songs have you uploaded so far?

And for those who don't know how to load these zips and want to know I made a post about how to a while back
You don't have to unlock your bootloader, it's simple to install, though if you wait to wait, to each their own. Still just gonna provide instructions to those who may not want to.
1) Download and install the Android SDK (even if you don't plan on doing this, I recommend just having this installed, you never know when it could be handy)
2) Download the update zip (for this case it's N7's 2012 from newest 4.3 build (JWR66Y) to 4.4 (KRT16O), check settings about phone/tablet to make sure your build)
3) Turn off your device, hold down the volume down button, then the power button, you'll enter bootloader mode
4) Use the volume buttons to select "Recovery Mode" and power to confirm
5) You will see an Android with a red exclamation point and nothing else. Press VolUp+Power together, then you'll see a menu. Use the volume buttons and power again to select "apply update from adb".
6) Connect your device to your PC, and open command prompt on Windows(I can't help you with Linux/Mac sorry). Open cmd the directory where you downloaded the update zip by in windows/file explorer, shift+right click on an empty space of lets say your Downloads folder and select Open command window here.
7) In command prompt type "adb devices". If you see your device and a port number all is good, if not, check if you installed the latest adb tools in the Android SDK.
8) Now you just sideload the file, type "adb sideload <insert full filename here>.zip" (In this case it would be "adb sideload 13088e35942c77e4752aa1fdf51d54472509b941.signed-nakasi-KRT16O-from-JWR66Y.13088e35.zip"). You'll see cmd say that it's sending the file (you'll see a shit ton of lines repeated, it's normal)
9) It will send the file, install on it's own, and once it finish select "reboot system now" and you're done. Congrats.
But yeah, if you wanna wait, just wait like a day or two, it's rolling out.
EDIT to step 1, you can also just download the USB Driver
for some reason, poweramp keeps adding 2 of every song when it scans for new songs, and im 100% sure theres no duplicate files, does anyone have a fix?
There is only one Music folder but PowerAmp is scanning it in two different locations (Android loves having 3 different paths to the same folder). Uncheck one of them in the settings.
Gotta wait my N5 ROM for N4 to update to 4.4.2.
Is there anything really important on this OTA?
Ugh, I have a modified /system, need to flash that back before updating.

Stability mainly and some further camera improvements, I've just installed it with ADB sideload.

Have I been scammed? Also this case is damn cool.
Apparently the warehouse where the Moto G's are shipping from Motorola is closed due to snow. God damn it. :suicide:
Serves me right for deciding to put off paying my phone bill until I got the new phone because I assumed I'd get it today or tomorrow
iirc the 10incher ui got removed from aosp a while ago
you'd have to find a custom rom that puts it back in
I installed 4.3 x86 port on my ASUS eee pc and am loving it, but how can I move the back/home/option buttons to the bottom left of my screen rather than the center?
I believe if it's rooted you can use xposed, install a module and set it back to the good old honeycomb days
the 16gb nexus 10 is out of stock at the play store
could this mean what i think it means...
2013 Nexus 10 coming soon?
