I wish the Z1 Ultra GPE was available in the UK, the nexus 5 wasn't enough of an upgrade to tempt me from the nexus 4, but the Z1 Ultra looks very good.
Oh wow: I apparently get $20 for having the misfortune to own an LG G2x at one point.
I wonder if there's a settlement for my phone...
Well T-Mobile still gets 35mbps with HSPA+ and LTE is around 45mbps around what I'd consider to be "peak" hours. Either way speeds are only going to increase and your HSPA+ phone is going to be as brutally left behind as 3G phones were 2 years ago and HPSA a year ago. What carrier are you with anyways?
AT&T, can't say how T- Mobile is in my area, because I don't know anyone using their services or have a LTE capable device.
For all you lovely brits out there, the Nexus Wireless Qi Charger is now available in Blighty. One slight issue:
9W 1.8A AC Adaptor (For use in the United States and Canada only)
One slight issue:
Why even fucking bother selling it then? :v: I would imagine its a multivoltage adapter so you would just need a UK to NA AC plug adapter.
About to breathe life into an S2 for my dad (Will be his first smart phone), putting stock 4.4 on it, I can't let him use TouchWiz, I just can't.

I was gonna get my parents a tablet PC for Christmas. Kind of torn between Google Nexus series and Asus MeMo Pad series. I kinda need to get the 10" screen, because, well... they're old buggers and have fat fingers. But I guess 8" would suit well. I can get the FHD 10" for £300, and the Nexus 10 for a similar price, just want to know what you guys suggest?
Nexus 10, if they break something software side, it'll be easier to fix.
Will using a tablet charger on a phone break the phone assuming that the chargers output of amperes is higher than the phones charger?
Nexus 10, if they break something software side, it'll be easier to fix.
As far as software goes, they'll most likely use it for iPlayer and basically watch BBC News/ use it for cookery recipes. On the hardware side, how does video playback fair? I'm a bit disappointed there's no SD Card slot, I was planning on filling one up of their favourite films. Speaking of SD cards then, which tablet would be my better option?
Will using a tablet charger on a phone break the phone assuming that the chargers output of amperes is higher than the phones charger?
No. Current (amperage) rating of a charger is just a maximum output. The battery charging circuit will only take what it can handle, unless it's already broken and then you might get a fire with any charger (happens only with third-party batteries in 99% of cases, except for the few S4 stock battery fires). You may or may not get faster charging depending on your circuit.
Due to limited internal storage I'm finding it more and more annoying to update apps. Time to start symlinking into the sd card sometime
4.4.2 on my friend's nexus 5 caused an insane overheat and a charging problem. He's trading it in and getting a Moto X.

I'm using the Xperia Z Ultra as my main phone right now, as a person with average or small hands I can hold this thing one handed and loving how the power button is on the side.
I'm using the Xperia Z Ultra as my main phone right now, as a person with average or small hands I can hold this thing one handed and loving how the power button is on the side.
What's it like for fitting in pockets? Am considering one now.
What's it like for fitting in pockets? Am considering one now.
I hope you have jeans or pants with deep pockets, cause with my not so deep pocket jeans, there's an extra inch sticking out of the pocket.
And I though 5 inch screens on phones was the limit
What's it like for fitting in pockets? Am considering one now.
LG G2 is like literally designed to fit perfectly in the smaller mens jeans pockets, any bigger and it wouldn't be comfortable but would still fit if it was a slight bit bigger.
The guys at Verizon said they'll replace my G2 in the store because I'm like 6 days past 30 days, they'll just call it DOA and let me put the SIM in a new one. Just not sure how to copy all of my apps + app data to the new phone without root D:
My bank, who in the past gave us this app, has been lately celebrating that it's latest app can do Android NFC payments. What they don't tell you is it's just for the Galaxy S4 and the service costs yearly.....fucking sigh. They had a chance, one chance, to be the first bank in Australia to use Android 4.4's Tap & Pay feature, but no. $8billion profit a year and they can't program.
and they want you to buy some sticker to put on phones that are unsupported... wtf? i could just tape my card to my phone if i wanted tap and pay that badly fucking hell.
Yeah, no way I would deface my Nexus 5 with a sticker. Those stickers from Commbank are huge and as thick as a real credit card. Don't understand why banks think we want stickers for phone payments, not like they need to be on the phone, could stick them to your balls and it'll still work, rather pointless. Edit: https://plus.google.com/u/0/105895418384149305262/posts/bQEQ5HFZQ8S G+ announcement today

Their mobile payment one is separate though, and only works on certain phones on one carrier so it's essentially useless Photo cheque deposit works flawlessly though, so at least they have that going for them
