Possibly a stupid question, but after rooting the Nexus 5 I'll have to re-root it after installing any possible updates that get pushed out?
As long as you've got a recovery installed, it's usually no more complicated than just reflashing SuperSU.
major updates will revert your recovery to stock - you'll have to flash it again using adb (or a toolkit if you're a peasant), then flash the superuser zip. minor updates will only unroot you, so all you have to do is go to recovery and flash the superuser zip.

err, yes. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img. oopsie.
Since Hangouts replaced SMS for me and I stopped using Flipboard there are now 2 open spots on my homescreen and it is bugging the hell out of me [t]http://i.imgur.com/BgQtG2S.png[/t] It really feels like I need a new theme..
I'm still looking for a way to power the host device while using an OTG cable so when I do use it, it doesn't drain my phones battery... Anyone?
I'm surprised how fast I've gotten used to the [Back]-[Home]-[Windows] scheme. It feels almost natural already.

Every other device and maker in the past has followed (more or less) the back, home, menu button layout.
I'm leaning more towards the LG G2 than the MotoX, almost purely based on specs
Yeah I'd go with the G2 over the Moto X any day, the battery life on the G2 is amazing.

It is more awkward with the Nexus 5 for me, at least for now.
I enabled Nexus-like software buttons on my phone that has hardware buttons. Redundancy at its finest! [editline]21st December 2013[/editline] At least Google Now is actually convenient now.

[editline]21st December 2013[/editline] At least Google Now is actually convenient now.
What... why... I love hardware buttons. Except the Samsung home button that's an actual button instead of capacitive. That's a big spill hazard right there.

I hate my wildfire's capacitive buttons, they're so close to the screen and more sensitive than the screen, so it's really easy to bump the home button while opening the symbol menu
[t]http://i.imgur.com/fx0MB5A.jpg[/t]
Oh ugh, your buttons are all backwards! Menu is supposed to be on the left and back on the right, like Samsung master race.
Oh ugh, your buttons are all backwards! Menu is supposed to be on the left and back on the right, like Samsung master race.
Even though back button on the left makes more sense logically, back button on the right feels better.
With the holidays coming up I'm going to be needin some games to tuck me into bed after each busy day of socializing. Looking at FPS games for android I was wondering if Nova 3, Conduit HD, and Dead Trigger are the only FPS titles worth checking out. I'm grabbing Conduit HD because I loved the Wii version but traded my Wii in. And probably going to grab Nova 3 because it reminds me so much of Halo and I love those games. Any other time wasters you might recommend Facepunch? Other games I have are Star Command, NFS Most Wanted, Asphalt 8, Minecraft PE and some SNES emulator.
Try modern combat 4
ok managed to do things, and now san andreas works on my poor 8gb galaxy tab 2 sadly it runs on 16bit colors (idk how to change that) [t]https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Photos/2013-12-22%2011.25.08.png?w=AABtHYLaCiOhLdNoMe-itPoq3SnRHn40YHdfRX7co8lpIQ[/t] and NPC's are so flat [t]https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Photos/2013-12-22%2011.23.00.png?w=AABjo7xpj5zdpXf5eBkqBfOnvs-9681Lp8oJz2o_mUxeiA[/t]
It's so bad Facepunch is refusing to show them out of taste
http://i.imgur.com/fx0MB5A.jpg
of course you'd post that in ACJ. I gave you an updroid. edit: sup/sub tags still don't work?

Can't stand touch screens for anything other than point and click.
Even though back button on the left makes more sense logically, back button on the right feels better.
Probably because more people are right handed, and since the back button it generally used more than menu, you can press it with one hand.
Is there a free torch app that also doesn't need ridiculous permissions and has no ads?

Any recommendations for an ebook reader app which I can just add my pdf files onto?
