See if getting him to boot into the bootloader for a bit works.
The phone is 100% stock, no CW or TWRP on it or a custom ROM. Actually since I have it here with me I may can change that, if there are good Kernels/Roms out there. Doubt my father would notice a difference anyways. Well it is loading for now, but really slowly. [t]http://i.imgur.com/2UhmX40.jpg[/t]
It makes me happy to see so many new Nexus warriors in this thread :')
Christmas, holiday sales and gifts, that's why :-)
I was thinking of getting a Nexus 7. Can get a 32GB for like $215 at Best Buy right now. But with my luck with Asus products...
My friend has the new 2013 Nexus 7 and he has issues with it including dead pixels and the screen being unresponsive. I've used it a bunch of times and I noticed the unresponsiveness. Like nothing would register, a quick way to fix it was to turn off the screen and turn it back on. No idea why but I recommended to rma it.

Got my Motomaker Moto X today! I'm loving the software so far. I feel like Motorola has put more thought into software innovation than any other OEM.
I either used my phone a lot less today than normally or KitKat on my One is much much much better for battery life.
It makes me happy to see so many new Nexus warriors in this thread :')
If you wanna see one more, buy me a Nexus 5
If you wanna see one more, buy me a Nexus 5
no ur a nerd [editline]28th December 2013[/editline] Also I've been playing more San Andreas Android lately. I haven't run into any bugs apart from the one with the betting place yet. I'm roughly halfway through the game; I just got done Woozie's missions in San Fierro. I'm impressed with how well it controls. It can be annoying at times but the most I've had to redo a mission is like twice.
God I love the sharing feature on Android, it's so damn useful.

For some reason though, the cold season here came, and suddenly disappeared, so I'll only get to retest if the case + heavier jacket I wear now will help, when it gets cold again in a month or so.
I'm now officially a Nexus warrior. Got my phone way earlier than expected. Anyone got any ringtone/notification suggestions?
True warriors use enter the nexus.
I'm really enjoying my LG G2 after coming from Lucia 920 (HTC Desire Z before that). It's not a surprise as the phone is touted as the best smart phone of the year (after Nexus 5). It has all I've ever needed from a phone, and the screen is just gorgeous.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/HQidT6j.jpg[/t] This is fucking hilarious. It's called AndrOpen Office. This app might actually be useful.
It's 80MB and it's more or less a pretty OK port, no way it's going to work effectively on a 3 inch slow phone screen. Libreoffice come out already! I'll stick with my office suite pro 6 which is also on sale right now down to $0.99.
Does Google usually send phones out before their estimated warehouse date? Jan 5th is not close enough.

http://www.xtremeguard.com/default.asp
So far I've never had screen scratching occur except it my days of using Nokia phones with plastic screens. Only thing I am afraid of is an internal stress induced cracking from an unlucky drop that a screen protector can't really protect.
UK internet is really starting to suck, I got a Giffgaff sim today for my new Moto G. VPNs are blocked and to turn off their adult filter you need a passport or drivers license.
It's not starting to suck, you're just on a shitty network. Three's internet is great [editline]28th December 2013[/editline] And 4G soon for the same price

I got a replacement G2 because I had a dead pixel on my old one. This one refuses to lock on to a GPS signal (yes, everything for the GPS is enabled and I've tried toggling Google location services). Am I going to have to get another new G2?

Can anyone help me on finding a case for my Droid 4? I've been thinking about buying this one but I've never heard of the brand before so I dont want to buy potential garbage.
I am so tempted to get this: http://www.case-parts.com/details/Nillkin-Magic-Qi-Standard-Wireless-Charging-Pad-for-Samsung-Nokia-iPhone-LG-HTC-MCH-5007/?c=35&gclid=CLf22ZXR07sCFbGWtAodpBoA1Q Nilkin make really good quality cases, at least for the Nexus 4, I've always used a Nilkin case for my Nexus 4, so I doubt the quality of this will be no different.
Sweet thanks, needed a new one for the Zu.
It kinda sucks that I would have to pay for $5 shipping to Canada if I was to get this.

Also, Chromecast + tablet is awesome. My S3. Running 4.3 MOAR 7.0.1. Fast, and amazing. Guys, I've installed Xposed Framework and Tinted Status Bar, but it doesn't make nova homescreens and lockscreen transparent, although the auto-colored tint works pretty well and smooth with almost all apps. Any idea why it isn't working on nova?
