A lot of my friends hate Google Plus over the whole YouTube comments thing, so Hangouts is sadly not an option.
*sigh*
Skype?

Skype?
I never use Skype considering I always use Steam, but I guess now's as good a time as any to start.
skype is shit at video compared to hangouts
my order is
1. hangouts for people i trust online/i know irl
2. steam for all the fpers
3. facebook once in a blue moon
What. All of my sound that should be coming out of my speaker is coming from the earpiece. The hell did I do and how do I fix it?
[editline]30th December 2013[/editline]
Fixed it, it seems that while you have this open http://listen.hatnote.com your rear speaker dies.

I use Steam voice most of the time. Everyone I know already has it installed, so we don't need to think too hard about which service to use. Voice quality isn't the best but for informal voice sessions it does the job.

Too bad such voice chat feature doesn't exist on the moble app of steam.
And works like crap for me on the desktop version.

Why the hell does Skype video calling suck? The highest resolution I never got was 480p on fast Internet but even then the quality was pretty garbage. Hangouts on the other hand can do better 480p and can actually do 720p video streams.
The best video quality I ever got was going a google hangout video call with a Google employee at his office in Google, silicon Valley. Fast Internet check, good Web cam check (rMBP) and I was able to enjoy the cloth of the video quality.
I get better quality/latency on Hangouts video chat with a buddy stationed in Korea than I can in Skype period. Skype is pretty garbage in general, I'd really like to see Google Voice merge into Hangouts and gun straight for Skype.
Anybody noticed how fucking shit Skype's audio quality is on Android compared to the desktop version? The microphone on my phone is better than any other microphone I have in the house yet there is no effective way to use it on my PC.
Agree for the first, disagree for the second.

Okay then, it is final, my icon is being used. And that finishes it all up, time to spread the love of #holo.

Can't seem to chat to "Online" people, it only lets me for people in game.
I wonder, how easy is it to brick your phone after rooting and putting some extra root-only gizmos in it?
Now we just need to you to break the curse and make an FP app for Android.
So yesterday I got my nexus 72013 32gb WiFi, and I've already got cm 10.2 stable on it. Has any one tried out an eleven nightly yet?
Looks like OMNI Rom finally has Volume Button Music controlls, good bye Xposed. The centered Clock in status bar will be missed tho.

Doesn't the centred clock not allow as many notifications?
The notifications will be counted and grouped. To be honest I've never had that many notification in my status bar that it ever would have conflicted.
I don't understand how people can leave notifcations after seeing them. I dislike having notifications unless I haven't read it.

I don't know, I just swipe down, and if the ongoing chat is interesting, I click on it. If not, I leave it to wait until I forget about it or finally click on it.
New to android and smartphone in general.
I find on my Sony Xperia M that the home button is too close to the space bar on the keyboard. Is there anyway to disable the home button while the keyboard is open?

Any problems that are there are not caused by me, the only modifications that have been made are the visuals, no code has been added or removed. Any new bugs you are encountering are existing bugs in the app that you have been lucky to not of come across previously. The bug which you all ate encountering is a bug where it won't let you talk to certain people, there isn't a pattern in terms of who you can't talk to.
I tried Google keyboard, and the layout was so horrible, I decided I'd rather get cancer than switch away from SwiftKey in order to see if the problem is SwiftKey-specific.
It's exactly the opposite for me. To me, everything about swiftkey is AWFUL, except for the word prediction system and the bilingual typing. The UI, the app responsiveness, the layout is all bad.
Someone put the predictions and bilingual typing into Google Keyboard and I'll be the happiest person on Earth.

Holy shit good job on the Steam app, ikermitkiller!
Anyone had that issue where your tablet COMPLETELY discharges, so it wont even power on? Two out of three Galaxy Tab 10.1's in our family have this issue now. It happened to me today, and my brother has still not been able to recover his tablet after this happen.
The problem seems to be explained here: http://www.galaxytabforums.net/forum/guides-faq-s-tips/9288-guide-resolving-charging-problems-battery-care-maintenance.html
And I'm really hoping it's accurate. Only other option would be to replace the battery (How? I honestly hate the concept that a device cannot be opened by the user)

Samsung doesn't want to help as this was bought in the US.
[editline]30th December 2013[/editline]
Lo and behold, it's been charging for three hours now, it finally had enough power to show the charging screen. I thought it died like my brother's.

But I like the SwiftKey layout better than Google keyboard! And there should be an option to change the size of the keys too (in Google keyboard)

Taking that back now. seems like only Volume control is now in it and not actuall track skipping. Hello again xposed!

On Google Hangouts you can actually join the hangout on your phone while it's running in your desktop and use your phone only for audio.
Running the latest cm11 nightly for flo, it's so smooth.
If anybody wants any app to be blessed with #holoyolo, ask away and I'll try my best. I'll not make any promises that I can do all of them though.
Does anyone know what steps would I have to take to completely reset Google Now? I'm talking about resetting as much as possible and starting fresh in 2014.
