My solution to Hangouts-adaption is that I just don't talk to people who don't use it. Working out great so far. Because really, if they don't want to use Duarte's blessed chat platform, they're not worth talking to.
Hasn't worked well for me. Then they go for sms or Facebook messaging. I wish Skype had multi account switching like in Hangouts though. [editline]2nd January 2014[/editline] Oh and a lot of people seem to have BBM, Skype and what's app (on my end).
Noticed a little weird glitch with Google Play Music over Bluetooth where it will stutter if you press enter in a search field almost like a skipping CD.
huh, is that swiftkey related? I just tested that using google keyboard on my logitech mini boombox, and I don't experience that glitch. brb, testing with swiftkey. [editline]2nd January 2014[/editline] nope, nexus 4 running 4.4.2 (ART, though, maybe that's something?), tried with swiftkey and google keyboard, glitch didn't happen.

Hangouts handling sms lags often, the 4.1 jelly bean messaging app port I use crashes often, stock Sony sucks, sliding messaging lags like fuck.. Everything else I tried so far seems crap..
This is a really nice SMS app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hellotext.hello
This is a really nice SMS app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hellotext.hello
I remember hearing about the issues on reddit /r/Android
[t]http://i.imgur.com/SNUVkfN.png[/t] Why, Google Search, why
The 4.4 launcher is integrated with Google Search.
I use Action Launcher.

White can be used with nearly everything.
I ordered a Nexus 5, they packaged in a jelly bean lollipop with the phone. 0/10, would not shop again.
I ordered a Nexus 5, they packaged in a jelly bean lollipop with the phone. 0/10, would not shop again.
Why wasn't it a kitkat?
I ordered a Nexus 5, they packaged in a jelly bean lollipop with the phone. 0/10, would not shop again.
From where?
Moto's getting ready to soak new software for the Droid 4, they sent me an email asking me to participate but I doubt it's getting kitkat
[t]http://i.imgur.com/SNUVkfN.png[/t] Why, Google Search, why
I get two different Google Chromes as most used. They're the exact same thing except one is taking 80% of the battery.

Build three of the Steam mod is out. The navigation icons are now full holo and correctly sized, I've had t to ditch dsidewd's icons due to scaling problems so I've had to remake them. Oh that's good, the phone I got (LG Optimus L9) is damn near impossible to root, and the rom that came on it is so new that there's no known vulnerabilities. Coming from my jailbroken iPod touch (with root access), I'm definitely missing some of the customization I could do.

It's really easy to root if you use LGPwn. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2485585

Am I the only one that likes the interface of the current camera? I think the arc is really fast to use, well at least it is for me.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/OWfG2dr.jpg[/t] Um guys, potato phone screen is dying
No, look at all the grey. It's trying to update to Kitkat.
Already tried that, the ROM that MetroPCS (So I'm using a custom carrier version of a custom manufacturer ROM) doesn't have spritebud.
Oh, well that sucks. I've heard some T-Mobile users have been installing the MetroPCS rom to their T-Mobile L9s, so perhaps you could install the T-Mobile rom which does support it. Don't take my word for it though. :v:

I saw some people were flashing the European ROM and then using that to root it, but when you do that the LCD is mirrored and the digitizer is all fucked up. I may look into some how flashing an older factory ROM that is vulnerable to LGPwn, but I'm not even sure if that's possible.

There's definitely too much on a single side though, the quick controls should be on the other side and shutter should be on the right. The Sense 5/5.5 camera UI is a pretty good way to do things.
I feel like the only one that likes the white stuff on 4.4. Might be because I kinda hated the blue and black scheme.
I prefer the white, for various reasons. The white is a neutral colour, for everything, gender themes and colour association, which should make KitKat appeal to more people than the previous colour scheme of Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean. Other than that, white can go with most other colours.
I hated the white at first but it's definitely grown on me.
I never really understood the obsession with holo blue in the status bar. If anything, white is better for AMOLED to keep the aging somewhat more consistent.
