A friend has around £200 to spend on a new phone, I've recommended the Moto G. What would you all recommend.
Finally got around to rooting and installing xposed on my N5, what shit does everyone suggest Already got Gravitybox and AdAway
Tinted Status Bar and KitKat Toast Backport, to fix the leftover square toasts.
Build three of the Steam mod is out. The navigation icons are now full holo and correctly sized, I've had t to ditch dsidewd's icons due to scaling problems so I've had to remake them.
The camera is lightyears better than the 4.0 camera in UI. There's definitely too much on a single side though, the quick controls should be on the other side and shutter should be on the right. The Sense 5/5.5 camera UI is a pretty good way to do things.
I like the procapture ui but I requested a larger, circular rectangle on screen shutter key but they never put it in over a year since I requested it. And I like the stock one for xperia.

Not as big of a con as the Not a Nexus one, though, but that's definitely a problem for some users. If you live in a civilized country (aka not Australia, US, UK, Canada... I think that almost covers it), streaming helps a lot. That's what I've been doing, but honestly, I don't listen to that much music on the go.
The obvious next step: Code your own fully holoyolo Steam app!
Eventually, when I learn how to do that stuff fully.
Eventually, when I learn how to do that stuff fully.
Would pay 2 dollars for/10
If I ever were to make it, I'd make it a free application without ads, but with a donation option available.
The obvious next step: Code your own fully holoyolo Steam app!
I'd be learning how to make Android app this year so I could give it try and avoid making an fp app because curses
A quick update on the progress of tonight's build of the Steam app. Something that's been annoying most of you about the app, the menu button on your navigation bar. I've managed to remove it, that is all for now. If you need the application to run on a device running lower than 2.2, just tell me which version and I'll try to make it work. [editline]3rd January 2014[/editline] [t]http://gyazo.com/792c1d8a2a9a6b7ceccddff3898b1d49.png[/t]
i'd make the chatbox white again [editline]3rd January 2014[/editline] or a different shade of gray and drop the blue line theres nothing to delineate the chatbox from chat content
give me your fucking paypal you amazing thing
I have no idea if that is serious or not, considering this is the most sarcastic place on the web. But that gave me an idea, once tonight's build is out, I will open a donation link up for you generous people (and the generous people of the Holo apps Google+ community). [editline]3rd January 2014[/editline] Changing the action bar to an actual android action bar, so that's in the works now. The popup for when you click a link is now the KitKat popup. tbh I like Jelly Bean's style more than Kit-Kat and the design road Google seems to be going down, to me it seems more like a step backward than a step forward into something different and square toasts are way better than round toasts
[T]http://puu.sh/68xnu.jpg[/T][t]http://puu.sh/67NLa.png[/t][t]http://puu.sh/67NLd.png[/t] I was out the country so there was no mobile data, nor was I on wifi (location reporting on wifi was on, but as you all can see it it was barely used). I was just slept through the night and woke up to it dead. A few days have passed and nothing even close has happened again, even back home with mobile data and it seems fine now. Very weird though Also does anyone know if the Moto X has replaceable back panels like the moto G. I wanna get a green back but I'm not sure if it will actually look that good.
So I lost my charger while riding a train over new years eve and now I am looking for a replacement. Anything in particular what I need to know before buying one?? I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 1 for reference.

How come Poweramp has much better audio quality than the stock player, Google Play Music, and Doubletwist?
Because it's named Poweramp? Power implied. Also, holy Moses KitKat is sexy.
How come Poweramp has much better audio quality than the stock player, Google Play Music, and Doubletwist?
Related, the unlocker is 99 cents on sale right now. Normally $4. Get it now, it's totally worth it.
Today's update Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q8uq40fxrh4osmk/Build4_03-01-14.apk Previous downloads, current and change log: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/iv8g5w8zg46uyf6/d6VMsfFTvx Change log: -Menu button on navigation bar removed -Back end changed to the latest Android API -Increased speed and stability (Refresh times have been decreased by a huge amount, navigation is faster, boot time is faster and the app doesn't have to reconnect as much) -Send button changed to official android button code -Text input in chat changed to official android button code -All pop up windows changed to KitKat design -Application can have added backwards compatibility to OS versions before 2.2(Froyo) if requested -Unread messages text on friends list is now white -Navigation gradient is no longer a gradient. Now is #191919 to mimic the future slide out navigation which will be implemented -"Tap to chat" changed to "Send a message" (Like Hangouts)
Sup guys, I'm getting my first smartphone next week, the Galaxy S4. This is my first android device and phone, so do you guys know of a good case I can order, and any good apps I should download right away? I've only managed to find a few flimsy looking cases on Amazon and I don't know anything about the android os.
How come Poweramp has much better audio quality than the stock player, Google Play Music, and Doubletwist?
I dunno. Maybe it's the equalizer or something. When the equalizers frequencies are all at zero, poweramp plays audio better than others.

It is miles ahead of the stock ROM and you don't lose any features. Faux kernel is a must since it also significantly improves the screen calibration (night and day difference). ViPER4Android FX is an app that requires root access, you can read all about that in the OP, which gives you more advanced options into sound processing. I mainly just use it to take off the gain limiter from -1.9dB to 0dB. Light Manage/Lightflow is also recommended for notifications since it lets you pick what colour to have your notification light blink per-app. Easiest way to root the phone is to download the Galaxy S4 Toolkit and then it comes with a one click root kit essentially. Too easy. [editline]4th January 2014[/editline]
I dunno. Maybe it's the equalizer or something. Is it possible for a screen protector to mess up the responsiveness of a touch screen?
How come Poweramp has much better audio quality than the stock player, Google Play Music, and Doubletwist?
my guess is this [t]http://puu.sh/68JSa.png[/t] and because it has a preamp. this is why dsp effects like bass boost arent distorted when used with poweramp on kitkat but does on google play music. it also has a good limiter and the EQ is fantastic. Yeah that's my guess.
