I like Timely, though I think it has an auto-snooze if the alarm goes on for a minute or so...
My old S1, which I passed down to my younger brother, has almost no burn in. If you look really closely on the top left of the screen, it looks slightly bluer when displaying white since due to black notification bar with no icons but that's about it.
Yeah but was it on the exact same screen for its entire life?
Looking for a miracle phone, the Miata of Androids; Something Fast, cheap and a cockroach in terms of longevity.
Looking for a miracle phone, the Miata of Androids; Something Fast, cheap and a cockroach in terms of longevity.
pick two of those
Looking for a miracle phone, the Miata of Androids; Something Fast, cheap and a cockroach in terms of longevity.
Moto G. No other choice. Don't bother looking.
Looking for a miracle phone, the Miata of Androids; Something Fast, cheap and a cockroach in terms of longevity.
If cheap is sub $200, get a Moto G. If cheap is sub $350, look at the Nexus 5. The G (and any phone in it's class) will not necessarily have amazing longevity or power.
Yeah but was it on the exact same screen for its entire life?
Nah, I wasn't arguing against him or anything. Was just sharing my experiences with OLED burn in on my own phone
I wanted to use Timely but I like how the stock kitkat clock app lets you dismiss alarms from the notification shade 2 hours or less before it goes off.
http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/1ugdre/why_arent_these_kinds_of_ads_banned_from_being/ So these type of advertisements are against the ad policy on Google so if you see them and it's an app from the google play store, report it.
That's funny, because apart from Locket, these are the only ads I've seen on Android.
Now the hills look super weird...
best hills ever
By the looks of it, it's an OSX background, the Windows XP Bliss with the Android 4.4 Mountains at the back right.
That's an iOS 7 wallpaper.
I need a new android sms app, the 4.1 jb port mod crashes too much, sliding messaging lags too much, and sony stock sucks because it just sent a bunch of old messages to about 8 people.
I think you're kind of screwed. Last time I went shopping for SMS apps 99% sucked. Sliding Messaging (which I stupidly paid for thinking all of my problems would go away) is a hassle to use and supports MMS like a wet noodle can support a house, Hello's tabs were just dumb and all of the other popular ones are gaudy as hell. The only one that was kind of okay was Textra - give that a try?

And yeah I'll try textra sms right now. I didn't try Hello yet because of the recent controversy of the app spamming all of your contacts about the app. The devs said they fixed it so I'll maybe try the app out later.
Doesn't Hangouts support SMS?
I need a new android sms app, the 4.1 jb port mod crashes too much, sliding messaging lags too much, and sony stock sucks because it just sent a bunch of old messages to about 8 people.
Handcent?
Doesn't Hangouts support SMS?
That lags too
Doesn't Hangouts support SMS?
yes
I wonder if I could take the stock messenger off my wildfire, that ran fine on shitty devices :V
I need a new android sms app, the 4.1 jb port mod crashes too much, sliding messaging lags too much, and sony stock sucks because it just sent a bunch of old messages to about 8 people.
The only other one I can think of would be chomp. I didn't like it that much, but you might find it functional. Not the prettiest thing, but it's fairly holo. Everything else (go, handcent, etc.) is shitty.
Got myself a nexus 5 with a 3.5gb month 4g sim card had to pay for the handset £300 ish but bartered on the phone for a £13 a month contract. Unlimited SMS n calls but fuck me the ability to stream music from Google is ace. Spent a week uploading my library.
I really like Textra

Just got my wireless charger. [t]http://i.imgur.com/cZqKJla.jpg[/t] That's a good sign.
I left my phone on standby for 3 days with the battery case. I didn't touch it at all, so Google Play Services was finally legitimately at the top of the list, without some weird-ass glitch eating up all the battery. About a minute after turning it on, the screen statistic started murdering everything else in comparison. CyanogenMod's snapshot that the installer installs seems to be fine. WiFi tethering works too.
The single reason why I think android is better than IOS, no fucking iTunes.
I like having a single program to control all my devices though, makes everything a lot tidier.
I like having a single program to control all my devices though, makes everything a lot tidier.
Same reason to use Google everything with Google Chrome on all of your devices, syncs everything. Although some proper music syncing like itunes for android would be pretty cool.
