Don't want the NSA finding out what kind of Pizza I like.
Don't want the NSA finding out what kind of Pizza I like.
Especially if you're a fan of cheese pizza :v:
There is no such thing as "cheese pizza", that's just pizza with no toppings, which isn't pizza, so shut up and order a real pizza. Consult this web page for additional information: http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=pepperoni
Why would you only use encryption for sending confidential information? Dragnet surveillance can bite you in the ass 20 years from now, you need to be using it for everything.
That's what's known as "paranoia". Which neither I or any of my friends have. Nothing I've transmitted over SMS will convict me of a crime in the current system, and if we devolve to a point where they'll just use whatever to convict me, then they wouldn't even bother with that anyway.
Everyone has smartphones
Speak for yourself. My phone still works perfectly fine. [t]http://cdn2.gsmarena.com/vv/pics/nokia/nokia-3110cl-00.jpg[/t]
Half of my family still uses regular phones, and only one of them has a camera (0,3Mpix).
I've a nexus 4 should I go to cyanogen from stock? Anything good with it like better battery etc?
I've a nexus 4 should I go to cyanogen from stock? Anything good with it like better battery etc?
Most of the reasons for switching to a custom ROM, especially an AOSP ROM, from stock are basically superficial. Pie controls, customization, etc. Or updates.

https://play.google.com/store/devices/details/Moto_G_Google_Play_edition_16GB?id=moto_g_16gb I don't see the point, really... :v:
it doesn't even have NFC
No I mean, the Moto G is already basically a Google phone... It's bare-bones AOSP with very few additions. A Google Play Edition seems redundant. [editline]14th January 2014[/editline] Plus when/where do you ever even use NFC? The only practical uses of it I've ever seen is using it to pay for things at a cash register (and I've never seen these in person myself). I guess transferring stuff from phone to phone easily is kinda cool, but that's what Bluetooth is for. :v: Though the loss of LTE on the G is a shame, it doesn't affect me because lol upcountry Maui
it doesn't even have NFC
TBH I've never used NFC in my life.
https://play.google.com/store/devices/details/Moto_G_Google_Play_edition_16GB?id=moto_g_16gb I don't see the point, really... :v:
US play store only..
you expected anything different, gary?
So N7 2013 at this moment has CM 10.2 stable and CM 11 snapshot. Right now I'm on stock 4.4.2. Should I flash CM (and which one) or stick with stock?
it doesn't even have NFC
One less thing to suck up battery and raise cost of the phone, honestly the only complaint I have whatsoever about the Moto G is that it doesn't have LTE. I'd much rather trade NFC for LTE on a phone.
So N7 2013 at this moment has CM 10.2 stable and CM 11 snapshot. Right now I'm on stock 4.4.2. Should I flash CM (and which one) or stick with stock?
AFAIK PA/CM still haven't merged all their primary features which make the roms worth using as they're still working on fully moving to Kitkat. I'm still running PA 3.99 on my LG G2 since PA4 is basically plain AOSP with some tweaks and was moderately buggy up until just the last few days. It's still missing Halo, PIE and Hybrid which are all things which are the reason I'm using PA.

What's the easiest way of replacing an Android app icon with that of another app. Root Explorer's icon is foul.
If you're using Nova launcher, hold and drag to edit and change icon.
Something not many people know: Sending files via NFC just pairs the two devices through bluetooth and sends over that, not actually over the NFC hardware.
https://play.google.com/store/devices/details/Moto_G_Google_Play_edition_16GB?id=moto_g_16gb I don't see the point, really... :v:
How much is it retailing at? It just says "not available in your country" to me. I have been keeping an eye out for the Moto G ever since "the incident", aside from the missing features does this phone have any drawbacks?
So I'm having this really weird issue on my moto X. Every time I connect to wifi, the next time I turn on the screen, I won't be connected, and I'll instead have the notification 'AT&T hotspot status'"Unable to confirm eligibility, please call Cust...". Normally this wouldn't be an issue, because I don't give a shit if I use AT&T's wifi network or not, but this happens when I connect to ANY wifi connection, including my own. This is extremely inconvenient, because I have to manually pick the network every single time. I'm not really sure what I should do here, anybody have experience? (And no, calling customer support for AT&T isn't an option, it'll be 3 hours hold and the guy on the other end will just think I can't connect to AT&T hotspots even after I explain it. Would a new ROM fix this? Are there any moto X roms that don't remove the actual great features of the moto X?
Something not many people know: Sending files via NFC just pairs the two devices through bluetooth and sends over that, not actually over the NFC hardware.
So now there's absolutely no reason to be concerned about NFC unless you live in a city where NFC payments are a thing. [editline]14th January 2014[/editline]
How much is it retailing at? It just says "not available in your country" to me. I haven't noticed any drawbacks other than unlocking my bootloader revoking my warranty. There's already an active dev community for those of us that can't stay stock, including TWRP and CWM builds along with WIP CM11 builds (Already fully functional, just some thermal engine issues) [editline]14th January 2014[/editline] That being said though I'd totally buy a 32GB Moto G for $220 or something, or a 2GB RAM/32GB storage model for $250. Throw in LTE and I'd happily spend $275 :v:
So the refurbished S4 I got at the verizon store was apparently defective or something because it fucked up and the guys there couldn't fix it, so I got a replacement one which wasn't refurbished. Fucking sucks that I have to set up all my bullshit again, but hey, at least I didn't have to send in the 50 dollar rebate to get a non-refurbished phone!....? [editline]14th January 2014[/editline] Anyways, I have to download all my apps again. What do you guys think are essential apps, and does anybody know how to sync my skype contacts with Samsung's really awful contacts app?
