Something not many people know: Sending files via NFC just pairs the two devices through bluetooth and sends over that, not actually over the NFC hardware.
Unless it's wifi direct and uses nfc for pairing
Yo, are there any good PDF reader apps out there with widgets? I'm going to a con this weekend and I want to have the event log thing up on one of the screens for nova launcher.
I hate it when people have screen protectors on with the corners all bent up like that and air bubbles under it, it makes your phone look like a broken piece of shit. Just put on a new one or rip it off completely ffs.
With NFC can you store any type of rfid card and use your phone instead? Can you store things like Oyster cards, Buss passes, The cards for entering buildings...
With NFC can you store any type of rfid card and use your phone instead? Can you store things like Oyster cards, Buss passes, The cards for entering buildings...
Apparently it's possible though I can't find any implementations of it anywhere.
With NFC can you store any type of rfid card and use your phone instead? Oyster could probably release an android app that would tie with your bus pass and connect over NFC though, for example.
I just use my oyster card as a ghetto NFC tag for toggling airplane mode on my phone.
NFC is cool for sending links to friends you're next to, but that's nothing that Hangouts can't accomplish.
NFC is cool for sending links to friends you're next to, but that's nothing that Hangouts can't accomplish.
Yeah, I wonder how many people actually use NFC and all those WIFI SHARE DIRECT bloat features tbh

Unless its just the case that credit card companies have verified google to be able to store a "copy" of the card while other companies havent?

Anyone of you tested the Fleksy keyboard? So far seems really good, but don't really like the price for the full version since I already have swiftkey installed.
Tried it and hated it. Gave it a shot for a week and entering anything other than plaintext was a complete pain in the dick. Went back to SwiftKey.

And here I am with my $1 for 5 screen protectors off eBay and haven't run into those corner air bubble issues or anything like that.
Tried it and hated it. Gave it a shot for a week and entering anything other than plaintext was a complete pain in the dick. Went back to SwiftKey.
its pretty but its not functional. the swipe for space and backspace makes no sense.
It's worse when people leave the factory screen film on
At least in most cases it's better applied than the Zagg installations you get from the Geek Squad. (Also Zaggs and anything that's wet application is the worst thing to install period.)
Is it possible, using this thing to play movies from a flash drive on the galaxy tab?
Hm, I'll give this a try now.
I got in on the beta. It's pretty fucking great, but with a little bit of novelty. I use it when I need a change, but I always end up using swiftkey again.
Hmm Fleksy doesn't seem all bad. I'll definitely have to get used to it though. I keep pressing enter for the full stop. Otherwise typing is pretty fast and I don't have to worry about accidentally hitting a suggestion like I always do with SwiftKey. Let's see how expensive this thing is when the trial ends. [editline]15th January 2014[/editline] I am now testing this keyboard on my tablet. Holy shot touch typing is even faster than with SwiftKey. I can really get used to this. Fuck shit cunt ass bitch cock knob shit cunt fuck ass yes. Motherfucker Gotta teach it all the swear words. I like how you can select the middle of a word and have the word delete remove the entire word and not just the left side of it. Thanks for the tip!
I'll never use anything other than Google Keyboard. Everything else just sucks, to me.

How much is it?
I'll never use anything other than Google Keyboard. Everything else just sucks, to me.
Fleksy is only okay. It works decent enough when it knows the word you're trying to type, but whenever it doesn't, it's just annoying to get it to let the word you're trying to type "stick." Unlike Google Keyboard, where you tap once to let it be or twice to add it to your dictionary.
I'll never use anything other than Google Keyboard. Everything else just sucks, to me.
What didn't you like about SwiftKey?
So guys this is a bit of a weird question but what would be the best way to remote control my Android device from my PC? I keep getting WhatsApp notifications over Pushbullet when I'm working on my PC and want some kind of solution that will allow me to reply to them by keyboard without having to switch over to my phone and use the touchscreen. Hangouts is fine because there is a desktop application but WhatsApp doesn't seem to have one
Jesus I post a lot here http://facepunch.com/misc.php?do=whoposted&t=1266858 I'm gonna stop now
I'm surprised I'm 11th if I'm honest, I've barely posted here compared to how much others have posted, it could be the amount of updates on the Steam app though.
I have a lot less than I thought I did.
