Upvote and whatever you do on XXXDA so we can spread the love of Holo Steam.
Saw this on /r/AndroidThemes earlier, reminds me of your work.
Gary saw one similar to that this morning and sent it to me over Hangouts, which then we both decided that I should post mine in various places.
What didn't you like about SwiftKey?
The auto correct is way too overzealous for me. Plus, I don't really fancy spending money on a keyboard honestly. I found it hard enough to justify putting down $4 on Poweramp... I know it's not much, but right now I need everything I can get.

However much you do this, you're definitely doing a great job, I just can't shake the feeling that you're polishing a turd.
This is my favourite:

Just wish it was real :(
Disabled google now, and my wakelock problems are gone
fuck google now
I'll never use anything other than Google Keyboard. Everything else just sucks, to me.
I used to use Swiftkey, but couldn't/wouldn't afford the full version, so I just stopped using it. The only reason why I used it was for the swipe to type and that it kinda learnt your typing as you went along, but since google fixed the swipe to type on the google keyboard, I haven't used anything else. The downside is that now I can't actually type though, I just mess it up all the time :(
As for NFC, it's a feature I didn't really use untill I got my Nexus 5 and realized other people also have it. Sure, it doesn't really do much, since it uses other technologies for beam, but it's just the simplicity. If I have a photo or an app or what have you, that my friend wants, I just have to touch our phones together, tap my screen and voilà! it's transferred over to his device. Even for my own devices, I find myself sending apps between them a lot (got my old Galaxy Nexus that I'm testing CM on, and a N7) It isn't a must-have for my devices, but at the same time, it's nice to know that it is there, for me to use when I feel like it. And I can only see my usage of it increase over time (if my bus company decides to make use of it!), I'm already planning on using it in my car, when I get one.
And now theres a Moto G Google Play Edition.
I guess it almost count as a Nexus now.

Honestly, it was almost a Nexus to begin with. A GPe for it is pretty redundant unless you really don't like the stuff Motorola bundled in (FM Radio, camera, Assist, Moto Care, and Migrate)
They should of made Play editions of the Moto X tbh.
They should of made Play editions of the Moto X tbh.
...Why? Again, it'd be redundant. The Moto X is nearly stock as it is, and the only features that honestly really set it apart would be removed in the GPe anyway. It'd just become an overly expensive mid-range phone with nothing interesting...
Yeah, did we forget that Motorola is owned by Google now? No more of that Motoblur shit.
I mean, don't get me wrong, Play Edition phones are fucking awesome...but when it comes to the Moto series it doesn't seem needed, in my honest opinion. It kind of seems like the Moto line might very well become Nexus phones for the masses. A stock AOSP experience with speedy updates, but with built-in features for the average joe without going overboard. And I really, really like that idea.
Moto G sort of makes sense for the GPE, actually. It's so light on the Moto-features, you first get AOSP running on the device, throw Google's shit in there, throw the update out to GPE devices, then you add in Moto's shit, and throw the update to the rest of devices.
It's great from the developer's point of view (you screen out bugs related to OS updates with the GPE update, so you don't fuck up the general population using the normal devices), but as for the users... sorry, not really.
Im guessing the Moto G doesnt have Active Notifications?
Im guessing the Moto G doesnt have Active Notifications?
Negatory - Unlike the Moto X, which has a 4.7" 720p AMOLED display, the Moto G has a 4.5" 720p IPS display. Active Notifications relies on the fact that black pixels in an AMOLED screen are literally turned off. I also believe it uses a tertiary processor in the Moto X to prevent excessive drain. Same for the touchless controls. Don't take this as me saying the Moto G's screen is worse than the X's though, its actually incredibly nice. Hell of a lot better than any screen you'll find in a sub $200 smartphone, really. (Yes, I really like the Moto G. :v:)
I got myself a 32 GB microSD card for my phone! I haven't fucked around with it much, but is there an easy way to make apps look at it first? For example, google play music saw all my bullshit in the Music folder and synced right away. Will it do the same thing if I have a folder called "Music" on the SD card, or will I have to find stuff manually? Doesn't bother me too much if I gotta do that manual stuff, but it would be nice to know.

It should scan the SD card automatically and add any music it finds to its index.

Wow, this fucker is smart. When I booted up the camera it said "all pictures are going there" and google play music found the stuff i moved around in an instant.

20 pairs of monoprice 8320's, or soundmagic e10's.
I like the monoprice iems because you can lose them (which happens a lot in my case) and it's no real biggie.

Suddenly something familiar showed up in my Google plus stream:

Someone linked it in the irc channel I was in. Itssopretty
I seem to have a problem - a few days ago I tried sending an MMS and not only it never reached its destination, but also the Messaging app keeps eating the battery, despite clearing the cache and deleting the MMS from history. Do I have to resort to wiping the entire app data (including thousands of messages) or is there any other solution to that?

I found it on Reddit this morning.

There are two different ones going around Reddit, one from here and one someone on Reddit created.
So guys this is a bit of a weird question but what would be the best way to remote control my Android device from my PC?
I keep getting WhatsApp notifications over Pushbullet when I'm working on my PC and want some kind of solution that will allow me to reply to them by keyboard without having to switch over to my phone and use the touchscreen.
Hangouts is fine because there is a desktop application but WhatsApp doesn't seem to have one
Anyone?
Anyone?
I used to use http://www.airdroid.com/ but i'm unsure if whatsapp is supported.
Bought some cheap LG Nexus 4 earbuds while I wait for my new ones to come. Jesus the sound is weak.

I'm still surprised with the bass that comes from the stock HTC One earbuds. It's really good actually.
