Really now? Well I went to the VZW store and the DNA was pretty meh, they didn't have an S4 and the S3 was about what I expected, but the Note 2 blew me away. I think I still am gonna end up with the S4, but still. Note 2 is pretty cool.
Yes. Verizon says they're making a device announcement 5/22. The 928 has already been announced. Why is the DNA sale ending 5/21? [editline]17th May 2013[/editline] Also, the HTC One Google Edition is going to be real. Holy shit.
Wat? Pretty much every article I can see says it isn't http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/htc-will-not-release-htc-one-google-edition

He was off on the camera for the One, but just about everything else was dead on.
Why is Google so anal about ToSes i mean god damn I go to Rite-Aid and Google Wallet's like HEY NEW TOS IF YOU DON'T HAVE INTERNET THEN GOOGLE WALLET WILL CLOSE!!! now i can't have my daily dose of warheads and extra hot cheetos to give tribute to the lord of pain
google hangouts could be p. sweet with sms integration.
So I ended up getting a Note 2. And already there's a fucking obvious speck of dust under the screen. God damnit.
So I ended up getting a Note 2. And already there's a fucking obvious speck of dust under the screen. God damnit.
Either get a replacement, exchange for a different model, or just cancel the contract and wait. Honestly speaking I probably wouldn't get a Note 2 right now but that's an opinion thing.
So I ended up getting a Note 2. And already there's a fucking obvious speck of dust under the screen. God damnit.
That sucks but you'll love the note 2 I love mine to death.
I'm already loving it, I just hate how I can't get attached to it because it's defective. The speck of dust is like embedded in the glass, it floats a bit above the display itself, but just under the surface. I made sure everything I could peel off is peeled off. My first impressions are A) holy shit this phone is fast and B) holy shit the S pen has amazing handwriting recognition. It can recognize my chicken scratch just fine!

That's the exact jump I made. Jeez the thing is butter smooth! I don't even hate TouchWiz that much.
That's the exact jump I made. Jeez the thing is butter smooth! I don't even hate TouchWiz that much.
Also storage wise it a bit cramp might invest in grabbing a microSD if you want to put a shitload of music or vids on there.
google hangouts could be p. sweet with sms integration.
coming soon also rip i never actually got to enter io i was busy doing things
I'm on a 2 year contract with a Nokia Lumia 800, I really hate the lack of support for it and my brother recently got a nexus 4 which seems to be something I'd love to have thing is that I've had my lumia for 10 months and idk why but i feel stupid if i get rid of it, so have no clue what to do, maybe you guys could suggest me if i should or not
google hangouts could be p. sweet with sms integration.
Yeah. One thing I noticed is that sending pictures to another person doesn't completely suck to do. Not that MMS can't, but you have to hope that your phone sends the MMS properly (which often breaks in ROMs), hope the carrier doesn't decide to compress the shit out of it, and hope the other person receives it. Plus I like seeing that the other person read the message. That's pretty bitchin'.
Does anyone know if the S4 will ever be released with more than 16gb of memory? T-mobile only carries the 16gb version and that seems like a complete joke to have a flagship phone with only 16 gigs. I know that you can go up to a 64gb sd card, but I really don't trust them after my last one shit on me
has anyone found the promised poop emoji in hangouts??
has anyone found the promised poop emoji in hangouts??
It's there under the cat heads.
i got an HTC One and flashed cyanogenmod on it p much instantly and it seems that the phone is incapable of properly playing audio files. spotify, when opening local files (not files downloaded from spotify but rather synced from my PC via spotify), shows the track time as like -193589 and on all tracks including downloaded from spotify, will random corrupt an album temporarily and just skip every track after like 2 seconds. is this a known issue with cyanogen or the HTC One or anything? it happens on Apollo, cyan's default music app so i know its not a spotify issue

Answer to your question: Cyanogenmod was only released recently. Expect it to be ridden with bugs. I can't find it in the OP of the cyanogenmod thread. I haven't read every post though, so you might find something there. edit: holy shit, HTC are true bro's with the bootloader unlock. Now I can root my device without having to wait for extreme exploits like I did with my LG Optimus 3Shit.
coming soon also rip i never actually got to enter io i was busy doing things
No it's not.

Changed my opinion, and instead of getting a Xperia Tipo, I pushed a bit more my budget and I'm gonna get a ZTE Grand XM for 150 € with 8 € per month data plan. Is it fair enough? Another option is a Huawei Ascend G510 for 140 € and the same data plan, but with 4.1, which is much better than the ZTE's ICS.
Holy shit 4G is fast as hell. Sorry I doubted you Verizon!!
Holy shit 4G is fast as hell. Sorry I doubted you Verizon!!
It really is great isn't it? I rarely ever get kicked back onto 3G, but when I do, it is just sad.
It really is great isn't it? I rarely ever get kicked back onto 3G, but when I do, it is just sad.
With Sprint, that's my biggest issue. No matter what ROM I'm on, no matter what phase of the moon, no matter how many times a lizard farted, I'll get like 30 secs of 4G and then it'll drop to 3G. While I'm stationary.

I would stay with the original HTC ROM, as other ROMs have not figured out how not to kill the amazing speaker quality. Half of what makes the stereo speakers so great is the way HTC uses the software, so any other ROM, even ones with Sense 5, will mess that up somewhat. 2. If you want something that is better than the CM nightlies now it would be http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2283057 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2269293

So I got my replacement Note 2 and it's flawless. Now that I've got it customized to my liking, what are the Android do's and don'ts?
