Bother the devs about it

It might be causing distortion. So to prevent clipping its turning the pre-amp volume way down. Or something along those lines. Mind you, that's a complete guess, but not unlikely. I've had EQ settings that clipped. Turning down the volume was the only way to correct it. Its not pleasant. It may be an actual bug though too.
Unfortunately there's nothing you can do short of getting headphones that need a less power or buy an external amp.

Have you tried turning the equalizer up? I use the equalizer on my N5, and except from some high spikes when switching tracks (not when it does it itself, though) I've had no problems with it. Make for awesome sound too.
So my friend just gave me four perfectly functional att galaxy S2s. What should I do with them?

Sell them if he's ok with that? You could muck around and see what custom firmwares are available
What is your everyday phone?

send me one!
Anyone know why when I plug my Galaxy S2 into my computer via USB it's only pulling 98mA to charge instead of the full 500?

I use a droid DNA. Yeah I was thinking of rooting them. Also it turns out 2 of the batteries dont work. All of the phones work fine though

Try a different USB port
send me one!
I would be happy to, IF you don't already have a smart phone. I was planning to root them and give them to some friends who don't have phones

if you don't have an ebay account (no one buys smartphones from someone with no feedback) sell them to gazelle, an internet pawn shop kind of place.

they'll give you $148 for all 4 phones assuming they aren't scratched
[editline]28th January 2014[/editline]
you'll get more from ebay if you can sell them on ebay
Try a different USB port
They all do it, ones on the front and back of the PC. Apparently the host USB device needs to negotiate the power delivery of anything higher than 100mA. You can short out the middle 2 pins and get the full amperage from the USB port without negotiation but surely the S2 is smart enough to say "Gimmie more fuckin power".
Wonder if it has anything to do with Cyanogenmod being installed and not being able to connect to Kies (Can still transfer files through explorer).

I guess my potato is technically a smartphone that can't make phone calls half the time.
Yeah go send the to friend without phones, it's better that way.
is someone interested in buying my crappy ass used-since-xmas-of-2011 galaxy s2?
it's pretty much otherwise in good condition except i think the headphone jack is a bit loose, the samsung logo on the back has lost a bit of its colour and the screen has a few scratches on it.
How much?
Aw yeah, I just ordered a Moto X with a bamboo back with that $100 off coupon. I have a Galaxy S4, but decided to get a Moto X after holding my Uncle's. It just feels so much better and fits my hand perfectly.
The S4 is just slightly too big for my hand, so it's a bit awkward to hold one-handed. I don't really use any of the extra horsepower that it has over the Moto X anyways.
And I can just sell the S4 to cover the cost of Moto X, plus some.
I will miss the camera, however.
How did you know how much power is being outputed off the USB port?
It won't give the exact amount (only an ammeter on the physical wire can tell that), but Windows reports the amount of power each device is requesting from the USB hub properties in Device Manager. Like my mouse and keyboard are at 98 mAh, and the 360 Wireless adapter is at 260 mAh.
also is there a way for android to scroll through images you select for your lockscreeen/background
I'm really kicking myself for not getting poweramp when it was a dollar, it's so amazing. Guess I'll just have to scrape five bucks together after two weeks..
Did KitKat break USB OTG or is it Cyanogenmod that's making it not work on my S3 anymore

Yeah this.
I guess it doesn't really matter, I usually charge with an AC adaptor that came with my phone, that gives off 700mA. I bought a 1A car charger so I could use the sat nav on my phone AND charge the phone, connected to it using a USB cable and my phone says "Charging (AC)" so I should be getting the full 1A.
The PC situation beats the hell outta me.

I would always charge via AC if I can, I bring my AC charger with me to school all the time if I needed it or my friends and classmates needed it. I'm like the one stop guy for phone charging but I don't have those external power bank thingys.

KitKat broke OTG. You need root to access USB drives now. It's bullshit.

Using something like Nexus Media Importer, which is $3 because bullshit
I think certain file managers will handle it to, but I'm not sure which. I haven't gotten an OTG cable for myself yet :saddowns:
