with the red light? that never happened before o.o
Have you run it down to 2% before? By the way, don't do that if you can, bad for the battery.
I really wish that I'd get the new UI, I've been part of the alpha since the beginning. Even before then, I was in the beta.
I'm not even part of the alpha/beta.

I ran it down to the stage where it would shut down a couple times before, but it always at least booted up again with a battery warning popup and then turned off like a minute later because the juice was really gone.
I never got the red LED before, though.
I did however install a custom kernel yesterday (Hellscore b43), but I don't see anyone else having the same issue so it's probably not related to the kernel.
Also, I know it's bad for the battery, but I'm not exactly planning to keep this phone forever, either. Worst case I'll get a battery off eBay and replace it myself, doesn't seem like too much of struggle. This just really scared me because I am completely unprepared for any emergency phone repairing and I really need a smartphone to live.
Guys i need Help!
So what happend? I just tried Accessing the Camera from the Lockscreen on my N5 now its completely frozen and pressing buttons does nothing what should i do? the battery was at 60 percent last i checked.
Hold the power button for roughly 10 seconds, it should turn itself off and then you could try booting up again.

You're my Savior it worked! i was worried because the CPU started heating up.
fyi, most modern phones have this hardcoded switch, especially if the battery is not easily removable.
Just hold the power button for 8-10 seconds and the phone will shut down right away.
I have managed to add translucent system bars to the Steam app. However, I'll not be releasing it, due to Valve's shitty coding, no matter what I do, content which shouldn't be beneath the system bars, is beneath them.
But this is how far I got before I realised that.

Chat is rendered completely useless, since you can't actually press on the chat box.

However, I'll be releasing one version within the next hour. Speed increases and yet again more stability, this came with compiling using the 4.4 framework.
Hey guys, how is OmniROM?
OmniROM is pretty good. Each nightly that is released is stable, all features within the ROM are coded by them, some unique features and it has delta updates.
Also, update to the Steam app:

I had this aswell, I panicked as fuck since I could still hear sound.
So are you using the controller wirelessly after pairing via six axis app + root?
Yeah, using the Sixaxis app. (They don't work wirelessly without that app and root)
so will this work on 4.3 and lower? will it work on ICS?
I'm pretty sure it'd work even on Gingerbread.

Never knew that, thanks!
So Evernote has a beta with handwriting support... Finally!
Is there anyway to sync notifications between devices?
Kinda want to avoid this after leaving my tablet on my table until I go to bed.

The cloud icons are text sent from MightyText so I can assume its impossible to sync those :suicide:
Just got an HTC One and I'm looking for any app suggestions, no matter what they're for. I'm interested in checking things out and know that there are a lot of things on Android that I wouldn't have gotten on my iPhone.
No need to join the Google+ community of Holofication Nation to get downloads and such, made a thread on XDA.

Only app I have so far that uses the Kitkat transparent bars, looks swanky!
Good camera app thats a suitable replacement to Stock Sense one(features&quality), since the CM one really does kinda suck compared to it (he realizes 2 months later).

You could disable the notifications and check mighty text every now and then...

I would say to S-OFF it and get a custom rom because sense is shit, but the stock rom comes with so many useful things... I run the sense stock kitkat rom and I just froze literally everything HTC. It works just like AOSP with GApps but it also comes with the features and whatnot of an HTC Sense UI phone.
If you get SD Maid and a custom recovery, you can do a backup and just start killing system apps made by HTC. Most of them are not needed.
For example, I removed the HTC Lockscreen. When it rebooted, it just set the lockscreen to default.
It's up to you though.
so i'm trying to getb the codec open/close noises as my lockscreen sounds on my g2, but i dont now exactly how to locate the base sounds. ive already rooted my phone

Will do, thanks. I was planning on rooting it soon, just was holding off to get more acquainted with it a bit.
EDIT: right now i'm just doing really basic ricing with nova launcher, UCCW, widgetlocker

My device has some bugs and the multi window isn't much yet, but my device isn't officially supported yet and the multi window feature is still a WIP so I'm not complaining.

What on earth do you need s-off for? Just get the unlock code from HTC and unlock the device in fastboot. You don't need s-off to be able to flash custom recoveries or ROMs. You only need s-off for crazy shit like replacing the radio. The things you can do with s-off are the things that can fuck up your device. With just an unlocked bootloader the chance that you permafuck your device is much lower.
Anyone using Sony Music Unlimited over Spotify? Why?
There is a today only offer from sony to get music unlimited for €1/month in three months. So I'd kinda like an answer quick :v:
[editline]31st January 2014[/editline]
(I'll be using the walkman app, not the music unlimited app, so the design is super awesome and beautiful)
In their devices, HTC have installed a sort of security check whose level is determined by S-OFF/S-ON. Essentially, this security level is a flag stored on the device’s radio that checks signature images for any firmware before it is allowed to be written to system memory. This hinders using any custom ROMs, splash images, recovery etc., and also restricts access to the NAND flash memory. However, when security level is set to S-OFF, the signature check is bypassed, allowing a user to upload custom firmware images, unsigned boot, recovery, splash and HBOOT images, as well as official firmware that has been modified, this enabling maximum customization of your HTC Android device.
The HTC One goes into a bootloop when the rom signature isn't verified.
AKA you need S-OFF to use custom roms.
Research research.
