https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tv.twitch.android.viewer That's a really funny changelog they have there
doge was the first meme that stopped being funny after 30 seconds.
My friend's having trouble finding a phone :v: He wants: Large screen (>5"), wireless charging, removable battery, 4G that works on his network, and the hardest part, no hard warranty void on root (knox e-fuse shit) It seems that every phone he likes does that :v:
doge was the first meme that stopped being funny after 30 seconds.
Well, whether you like it or not it's a part of our culture now and we just have to let it go.

The latter looks really nice since the background colour matches your album art.

Am I the only one that is having that one second delay when trying to turn the screen on again on the note 2? Would love to try fix that if possible.
Am I the only one that is having that one second delay when trying to turn the screen on again on the note 2? Would love to try fix that if possible.
Every Android phone I've ever used has done that..I think it's just the phone coming out of deep sleep 'n all that.
Every Android phone I've ever used has done that..I think it's just the phone coming out of deep sleep 'n all that.
That's weird because my old HTC Rhyme turned the screen on instantly on both 2.3.5 and 4.0.1. Well I can deal with that as it's only one second and as long as the battery isn't going empty for no reason.
Every Android phone I've ever used has done that..I think it's just the phone coming out of deep sleep 'n all that.
Galaxy phones all seem to do that from what I've seen. The Nexus 4 doesn't..
Every Android phone I've ever used has done that..I think it's just the phone coming out of deep sleep 'n all that.
My GNex used to not do that. Now it does ever since I updated the bootloader for Kit Kat.
Galaxy phones all seem to do that from what I've seen. The Nexus 4 doesn't..
The Galaxy Nexus didn't on 4.1, but did on 4.2 and up. It bothered me enough that I stayed on 4.1 until I got my Nexus 4 last summer
Galaxy phones all seem to do that from what I've seen. The Nexus 4 doesn't..
Yeah, even with Cyanogenmod my S3 has a delay when turning the screen on.

I've had the same on my Galaxy S2, on any rom/kernel I tried (including stock of course). If it went to deep sleep it took a second or sometimes two to light the screen up. If you had something going on in the background, however, it was instant. I'll make sure that my next phone is one that doesn't do that, for sure. It gets super annoying.
The HTC One goes into a bootloop when the rom signature isn't verified. AKA you need S-OFF to use custom roms. Research research.
I have an S-On HTC One running TWRP and Android Revolution HD and you are talking bullshit. You saying this can actually lead people to permafuck their phones with S-Off. S-Off leaves the device vulnerable to exploits that completely fuck up a device. Go to this site to unlock your bootloader: http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader Here's some research https://www.facebook.com/CyanogenMod/posts/10152887971775425
Do we really need S-OFF? No, we don't.
You do NOT require S-Off to flash custom ROMs. S-Off is dangerous and you should only do it if you REALLY know what you're doing. You can install any popular custom ROM with just an unlocked bootloader. This includes Cyanogenmod and Sense based ROMs.

So the main page of XDA featured Holofication Nation, and now my Gmail is slowly being fucked, thanks XDA...
You saying this can actually lead people to permafuck their phones with S-Off. You'd have to be the kind of guy who sideloads APKs from shady public trackers into /system.
What is a good kitkat ROM for i9100/s2? Currently using carbon room 4.3
My friend's having trouble finding a phone :v: He wants: Large screen (>5"), wireless charging, removable battery, 4G that works on his network, and the hardest part, no hard warranty void on root (knox e-fuse shit) It seems that every phone he likes does that :v:
He's gonna want the LG Optimus G Pro.
How can just having S-OFF permafuck a device? You'd have to be the kind of guy who sideloads APKs from shady public trackers into /system.
Exactly. S-Off enables the touching of things that really shouldn't be touched. It's a security risk. Perhaps it is comparable to doing everything on the root account in Linux. Sure, nothing bad will happen unless you install shady applications or run silly commands, but it's still really not a good idea.
Does anyone use a notification mirroring service to show phone notifications on your PC? I would use PushBullet but im stuck on android 2.2, and the other one I looked at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.hcilab.projects.notification seems really insecure, i mean theres a possibility that they could get your sting and then they have all your notifications
Managed to get my Nexus 4 charging on "AC" and at a decent rate. Got a USB Extension cable, split it open, cut the two data wires then plug a standard USB cable into that, then the other end into my Nexus 7's charger.
How can just having S-OFF permafuck a device? You'd have to be the kind of guy who sideloads APKs from shady public trackers into /system.
fastboot flash hboot boot.img whoops I just permabricked muh phone HTC never again

S-OFF was the only way to flash custom ROMs. Granted, HTC doesn't seem to have as much of an active stance against flashing as they used to.
it was basically required on evita to do s-off for roms
Are you sure? From what I've read, you don't need S-OFF. Fastboot flashing the kernel still works. The only difference with the AT&T evita is that you have to get SuperCID in order to unlock the bootloader. http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_evita
How can just having S-OFF permafuck a device? You'd have to be the kind of guy who sideloads APKs from shady public trackers into /system.
That doesn't even do anything. I'll sideload my phone with whatever I find on the internet and it's not like it's going to permanetly damage my phone, nor will it magically flash to some random shit it doesn't even have access to. I think most of you worry that if you don't have android on your devices, they're unusable. I've been in situations where I don't even have recovery or a valid android installation on my device and it works out fine because of a magic thing called adb/fastboot. If you want risk, go play with devices like the PSP where you fuck up a firmware update and you're done (depending on dev. type).
fastboot flash hboot boot.img whoops I just permabricked muh phone HTC never again
Hurr. I'll flash system critical files and not check md5 sums or download from random sites. Who gives a shit, just fix it with fastboot commands. Clearly if you're flashing a new radio and whatnot, even to find the files and commands needed, you'll already know the risks unless you're a complete idiot in which case go ahead and not read the huge red headers. They're not important anyways, right? I tried some google edition rom and got bootloop with S-ON. S-OFF'd and it worked perfectly. Here is an example. This is NOT an HTC Sense based rom. Installation Notes: [editline]2nd February 2014[/editline] or Here or here or even here Besides, S-OFF was simply a recommendation. It's almost like you don't want them to do it simply because you think they aren't capable of doing it or something. If you mess up S-OFF'ing the device, then maybe you shouldn't touch electronics. Unlocking the bootloader is more complicated.
