Speaking of CM, is Paranoid Android a superior ROM? I remember back when I had the DX1 CM was the thing to get but I feel like that's not the case anymore.
I like PA a lot more than CM. Hybrid, PIE and Halo are things which I can't intentionally give up in a rom after using them for a couple months. I tried updating to a Kitkat rom and they are all still desperately missing the features which make the roms worth using. I could never live without Hybrid and the ability to customize DPI per app, Android's stock DPI is the most horrible thing I have ever used and absolutely ruins the experience when using a 1080p phone with a 5" screen. PA seems to have some horrible teething issues in the transition to PA4, hopefully it'll get into decent shape by the time the new HTC/Samsung flagships debut in the coming months.

I think within the next few beta releases those features should start to trickle in... Hopefully.
I made an app in my video game design class http://filesmelt.com/dl/PENIS3.apk I would say it's possibly the best app ever made
Holy shit, I just noticed CM11 is available for SGS2. I'm very tempted to install it despite my relatively gruesome experiences with transition from 10.1 to 10.2. Should I go for it?
CM11 has a couple nasty bugs on my S3, namely USB and Wifi tethering not working (a bug that has gone unfixed since 10.1 according to the forums), and the phone rebooting occasionally if you disable wifi from the quick settings toggle, aside from that it's fine. Great battery life too. I'd check their forums first though, make sure there aren't any big issues on your phone.
Finally rooted my Nexus 4! ... and 3 hours later it's still restoring my backup

I'm just getting super antsy running the 3rd of only 3 nightly builds of PA3.99 that were ever built for my D801 months ago. Everything is starting to slow down and get a bit unstable.
bought a nexus 7 to go with my nexus 5 and glass. IM ALL GOOGLED UP
How do you guys cope with restoring everything (app settings and game saves in particular) after making a fresh install? I probably will have to do that quite soon due to the incorrect way of installing CM11.
bought a nexus 7 to go with my nexus 5 and glass. IM ALL GOOGLED UP
You're forgetting the googly eyes.
bought a nexus 7 to go with my nexus 5 and glass. IM ALL GOOGLED UP
Damn you, I want a N7. After I stole my sister's, I've been hooked on having a tablet, and my dad even found one in a bookstore, unfortunately it was a 1st gen...
Do these not work? I think Koush wouldn't have them up otherwise. http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager Ctrl+F "Note 2" and pick your version
Well I don't know which one to use. I pretty much bought my phone from the store so I'm kind of confused. [editline]3rd February 2014[/editline] I gonna try some out and see if it will work.
If you hover over them you can see in the URL what the model name of the phone is. Then, go to your phones Settings - About phone, and see the model number of your phone (n7100 for example). Then just download the right one and flash it (I don't know if simple flashing through ADB works on Samsung devices, though).

They should really add the model number next to the name or something.
Is it just me or does Google Drive android app take forever to sync?
the answer is potato
Anyone using a recent build of Slim or Omnirom or Bam Android i.e. a KitKat build? I'm looking for a stable one for i9100/SGS2 due to Carbon dropping support for the timebeing for my device
Hm, so if I was to carrier unlock my phone it would cost $50 I remember back in the day they would do it for you for free after 2.5/3 years is done in the contract... [editline]3rd February 2014[/editline] http://www.rogers.com/web/support/wireless/unlock/733?setLanguage=en

It's free and by Clockworkmod, and will even work if your phone isn't rooted (via a desktop application). You can backup to SD card or to your computer, and if you pay for the premium version it adds support for Drive and Dropbox.
Nexus 4 or Moto G. Go.
Nexus 4 or Moto G. Go.
Depends on your budget. Is the camera important to you? They're ass-y on both but the Moto G's is especially ass-y. Otherwise they're both fine devices that'll last you a decent amount of time.
I do, but for S3.
Cool which do you use? Is it stable for you?

Also the fact that I can choose the backup destination is very appealing to me.

I eventually reverted back to CM though. (If I leave phone charging overnight, and I wake up and use it, it would immediately freeze and reboot.)

Why does the Xposed Installer app sometimes use 400mb of data storage (and is currently using about 300mb)? When you've only got 1.8gb of space that's a lot.
