also, how do i set the language to english instead of a weird mix of finnish and english?
I've yet to find a way. They could at least finish the fucking translations if they're going to do one.
also, how do i set the language to english instead of a weird mix of finnish and english?
If I understand it correctly, you can't, because nobody translates the local content. Has to be strange for foreigners. Google could at least translate it to English everywhere.
Updated my i9100 to latest OmniROM nightly, it has OmniSwitch, this shit is brilliant. Also laughing how my phone that shipped with what, 2.3.4 Gingerbread, runs KitKat without any problems. Performance is great, everything works, even WiFi tethering, only thing I could want is a bigger battery, but I have a battery case if I need my phone for a really, really long day. The longest day I had, my battery case was empty and my phone was at 60-70%
Still don't get why people go on and on about removable batteries when a battery case is arguably better almost all the time.
Batteries don't last that long, I'd much rather replace it when it goes bad than throw away the device. Luckily, the i9100 has a removable battery, and I've heard the battery isn't hard to replace on my Nexus 7 2013.

I'm tempted to give it a go but I only just switched from Carbon 4.3 nightlies to SlimKat on my i9100 and for some reason app restore from Google Backup always causes my phone to run out of storage before it finishes restoring. I've tried using Helium instead (paid version) but it fails to restore a lot of the apps especially browser related ones. I just don't want the hassle really else I'd switch in a heartbeat then switch back if I didn't like it. You tried any other KitKat variants? The OmniSwitch looks awesome.
How do you flash a zip containing a script?
Why are US mobile contracts massively expensive? Say I wanted a plan with unlimited data, in the US all I can find are contracts exceeding $50 a month and these have almost no minutes or texts. I hope I'm reading it right because it's done slightly different than here in the UK. I mean compare that to my current contract which has unlimited data, 200 minutes and 5,000 texts and only costs £12.90 which is about $20 a month. Even if I wanted a Nexus 5 included in my contract, it's still below $50 a month.

(It's the same in Canada though. Terre de nos aieux )

Unfortunately they have the worst coverage out of the big 3 mobile carriers (the other two being ATT and Verizon). [editline]5th February 2014[/editline] Although we got a special deal and I apparently have 500mb of 4G and then unlimited 3G after that for only $30/mo.

It's nice! (when the coverage in your area is decent)

When I signed my contract, it was like $95 a month.

But like you said, their coverage is severely lacking in anywhere that isn't a well-populated area.

Currently thinking, how to disable my S3 hardware keys (I have on-screen ones anyway). I know, what files I should edit, but there is one problem - these files will be overwritten with every OTA update. And re-edit is a pain with nightly OTA's. Do anyone know a safe way?
I think there's an Xposed module for that.
Does Android have default anti-alasing default on or something? Playing the revamped version of Sonic 2 earlier on my PC and its definately less sharp than the original version at 1080p [t]http://i.imgur.com/aI2R11S.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/hVnOlwS.jpg[/t]
It's probably just the developers doing a shitty job scaling it, putting filtering on to make it look "smoother", which just looks terrible on sprites
I think there's an Xposed module for that.
There is, but it just removes basic button functions. I can still press them, and feel vibration from touch ones, but they not function. And I want to just disable them completely.
My Nexus 4 is still running out of battery quickly when 3G is turned on, is there any ROMs or something I should put on to squeeze a bit more life Or maybe looking at a Zerolemon battery case
it's an absolute disgrace that any carrier in canada is still charging people long distance for calling other provinces
Its incredible that long distance charges are even a concern anymore. Your telling me, I could download several GB of data from Japan for no extra charge, but if I wanted to call someone, in the UK on my cell phone for 5 minutes, I'm getting billed per minute? I thought the entire reason we used to even have those charges was because of limitations over old copper cable only having so much calling capacity. That shouldn't even be a problem anymore.
So in the quest for better charging still I bought a PortaPow Quad: http://www.portablepowersupplies.co.uk/portapow-quad-usb-mains-charger/ and also one of their USB cables: http://www.portablepowersupplies.co.uk/portapow-fast-charge-micro-usb-cable/ Really really worth the money. You can see the change in the steepness of the charging graph with the Nexus charger and cable vs the PortaPow one: [t]http://s29.postimg.org/i63tvv8gn/2014_02_06_15_08_22.png[/t] Stock Charger: [t]http://s2.postimg.org/52jv5tt0p/2014_02_06_15_13_24.png[/t] PortaPow Charger: [t]http://s13.postimg.org/xgmolyvef/2014_02_06_15_13_42.png[/t]

It's calling through landline and you can pretty much call any phone number, any land line, any cell phone on an old connection that's relatively reliable. The recipient might not have Internet on their phone (or in general) but they will be able to accept phone calls.

Way back when, those cables and microwave relays only had so much capacity because everything was still analog, which is why it cost so much. With it being digital, I imagine that capacity is far far higher, yet they still charge quite a bit for it.
yeah, well how else are the CEOs supposed to afford another Lamborghini?
I guess that's what I thought. Its purely just to get money out of somebody. I didn't know if someone had a good technical reason to explain it to me why long-distance is even still a thing anymore. Actually, my ISP's rates aren't too bad, like $.05-.35 a minute to the UK compared to Verizon where its like $1.50 a minute. Granted I have no real reason to call overseas, but its still a bit ridiculous.
