For anyone with the white Nexus 5, how's the plastic back?
Plasticy.
It's fine? I don't see it much due to the case though.
There, sent a update, so people with the build 20 should have their update bar turn over to orange when it checks online again.
[editline]13th February 2014[/editline]
Also, note that you can click on that area even if there's no update so you can download again or, in this case, see what the new update brought.
[editline]13th February 2014[/editline]
Unless I forget to change newest build to 21.
[editline]13th February 2014[/editline]
Now it's build 22.
Scrolling yay.
For anyone with the white Nexus 5, how's the plastic back?
I don't have one, but I've heard that the back is a hard plastic unlike the soft-touch of the black. The sides are a glossy hard black plastic (again unlike the black)
Eh, PIE is kinda obsolete with immersive mode..
Not really, it takes twice as much time to use immersive mode than PIE.
I personally really like PIE, I held out on PA 3.99 since October until three days ago since the PA 4 builds were really shitty. They also didn't have PIE and Halo which were the reasons I rooted and installed PA in the first place. Running Apex at 6x5 on the launcher with PIE and Halo looked like it was literally made to be that way.
You can't just free up a icon's worth of space and expect the same format launcher to work. That extra space along with some tweaked DPI's really come to life even on my LG G2 allowing me to see more than a single post on the Facebook app and actually take advantage of the 1080p 5.2" screen more than my previous HTC Desire Z with a 480x800.
I honestly can't live with my LG G2 without either Xposed and the PerAppSettings or PA's Hybrid. Android works/looks like shit with a 4"+ screen and 480dpi, however this is the current standard.. I have no idea how people use these 6" "phablets".

If you have bad vision.
My dad got one just so he didn't need to put on his reading glasses to use his phone.
[editline]14th February 2014[/editline]
Then it shortly broke.
Anybody know where I can get a darkened Facebook Messenger app? All the white is a bit too intense for my eyes and OLED. I'd make one myself but I don't know how.
Just tried out Quake 2 on android, works real well with Sixaxis's mouse emulation

QIII4A runs better than Quake 2 ironically
And Q14A is based on Darkplaces, so it can look amazing (RT world shadows <3)

I can run Doom 3 with lighting enabled smoother than Quake 2 :v:
That works great with a controller too, way better than trying to use the touch controls
My Moto G ran Doom 3 with lighting enabled pretty well, though it kept running out of memory and crashing. Still, pretty fucking amazing.
For anyone with the white Nexus 5, how's the plastic back?
From what I've heard from others the white uses a different plastic to the black. The black has a fine rubber like texture, like the Nexus 7 2013, but the white is smooth
Why does that Themer app get so much PR from XDA? How much are they paying, and getting that money to pay from? It's getting to a point where it's getting annoying to navigate their forums
MyColorScreen was made by XDA members. Then MyColorScreen made Themer. So its technically an XDA app.

Is it Samsung Galaxy plastic smooth?

What's the icon pack called? Google image search turned up nothing.
I have no idea how people use these 6" "phablets".
Same way you use your phone, I bet. It's just physically larger. I've had no problems with the size of my Note 2 - I like it a lot, in fact.

Read the rest of his posts...he has no issues with the size as much as the DPI scaling.

I don't know if I can fit a serving tray in my pocket though
[editline]14th February 2014[/editline]
My phone with a silicone case is already hard enough to get in and out (and basically impossible if I'm wearing jeans and sitting down)
Does CM 11 not allow for hiding apps in the drawer? If not is there any other launchers for 4.4 that allow it?
Read the rest of his posts...he has no issues with the size as much as the DPI scaling.
If you want a larger device with a high DPI, either don't buy a phablet or sperg out like everyone else and install a custom ROM. I have no problems with having less DPI compared to other people. It's a fucking phone.

Nova Launcher prime does, which is the paid version though. Also has kitkat transparency.

So I found this video, that explains a bit.

My Nexus 7 fits perfectly in the back pocket of most of my jeans.

I'm not too keen on sitting on my phone
App updates and that stuff.

Of course, updating can be done in app too.
Plex for android is on sale, looks pretty cool.
I really like Dashclock, but I really dislike having two clocks on the screen.
Nova Launcher can hide the statusbar clock on the homescreen but it pops in awkwardly when you open an app.
Android is HARD

I never even thought to use the maximized widget without the clock
