the Goophone doesn’t run TouchWiz
I'm sold
It doesn't run LTE either, or 4.3
Got my 3rd G2 in 5 months, can't wait to lose all of my texts and app data again!
You can back up sms without root

I did back them up, but last time I tried restoring 96,000 texts it said it did but they weren't actually there :(. My faith is lost for the restoration to work this time.
Maybe by then there'll be some fancy battery system that lasts weeks so you can use your 4G all day long
I'll bet :20bux: on that would be a car battery and a 12volt-to-5volt adapter taped together and stuffed in a duffle bag.

Can't you just keep the backup on your computer, cause I doubt you'll need all 96 thousand on your phone at all times.

Well they wouldn't do me any good on my computer :p

Do you need to be able to read all 96000 at a moments notice?
If it's 96000 sexts, I can understand why he'd need them with him at all times.

I need to go through and find old texts pretty frequently

Probably quoting stuff for arguments or something
Turns out Hangouts does not play well with imported texts. Won't load any of them in conversation view, just shows a blank area, and when I try to send a text it removes the text from the text box but never shows the "You: blah blah" on the conversation list or in the conversation itself.
It also shows half of my contacts as their phone numbers until I open the conversation, then it gets their name right...what?

It's really not about battery - 4G sips battery on my Note 2. Having a 2GB data limit and being able to consistently download ~20Mb/s isn't cool.

maybe the imported file isn't compatible with the way hangouts saves texts? The backup program could be fucking it up.

I'm using a Galaxy S4 clone and it's not bad at all, hell, there is even a AOSP rom for it. Also, i can buy S4 stuff for it, even batteries.
Hey bros I don't know phones but I'm getting a new one in april finally after four years of multiple Galaxy S's and Galaxy S II's (I broke them all)
Money isn't an issue, what are my best options? My emphasis would probably be on battery life, camera, and decent processing power.
Oh and probably stability since like I said I broke 3 phones in 4 years
I started transferring everything from my old phone to my new one at 11:30, it is now 2:10...
and it's all because of the texts. Now I can't even erase them all, I don't care at this point! :v:
[editline]1st March 2014[/editline]
Archiving the conversations in Hangouts does nothing, they just reappear. Super Backup crashes when I try to delete all texts. Stock messaging app crashes when trying to load the message list.

in the future, and hopefully carriers don't be assholes like today, there will be unlimited 4G that doesn't cost an arm every month.

Here in the UK the operator Three is upgrading everyone to 4G when it rolls out for free, even people on unlimited plans.
Does anyone else have a problem with the always-on VPN setting? VPN works when not using it, but silently fails while it's on.
Using l2tp ipsec psk on kitkat nexus 4.

It's already rolled out in London and puts every other provider to shame. £12.90 a month for unlimited 4G is a fucking steal compared to others.
Perhaps the most amazing phone they’ve done was the Goophone I5. It wasn’t amazing because of the hardware. No, what makes the I5 amazing is that Goophone managed to produce it before the iPhone 5 launched (based on leaked images), patent the design in China, and then threatened to take Apple to court.
they wot

This is getting on my nerves! That thing comes all the time when I'm using Chrome and pressing Next won't do anything.
I had to uninstall Chrome Beta because of this, and now the regular Chrome is doing the same thing after an update.
This comes up at completely random times.
I don't know how to solve this. Does anyone know?
