Hey guys, I have a Galaxy S i9000 an it's running 4.0.2 atm, however I have big problems with the slowness. It takes like 10 secs to load the app drawer or some apps, booting takes forever and so on and so on. Now do you guys think it's the OS itself being too demanding for the phone(in that case I'm fucked because I can't downgrade) or did I fuck something up with the file-system and it's fixable? Particularly, would an upgrad to the newest version(using Slimbean) bear a chance of fixing it?
The more recent versions of android actually run better, iirc. Also, have you tried wiping your phone giving it a clean slate? Might just be bogged down with crap. [editline]3rd March 2014[/editline] Or a custom rom

I haven't touched the file systems or anything so I dunno.
Speaking of ParanoidAndroid, does anyone know if it supports updating without having to wipe the phone/losing all of your data again? Like stock ROMs, where you just go to settings and it updates itself.
Uhhh CM doesn't wipe my phone when it updates.
Last I remember of ROMs when I had my DX2 and Liberty I had to wipe it every update I wanted to do.
Might be because I'm running a bootstrap. :v:
Wow, what? For some stupid fucking reason, when I use a ROM built from unofficial sources I get a MAC address starting with 00:90, while when using official CM sources I get on starting with C4:43. That is really annoying since my WiFi has a MAC-address blacklist and one device can only have one address, so I need to switch that shit around every time I switch ROM sources. How can the MAC address be change by the ROM anyways? Isn't it Hardware specific?
Did you istall a new radio too? [editline]3rd March 2014[/editline] Also I know that MAC spoofing is a feature I can do on my slimbean so maybe there's an option for that?
ZeroLemon extended battery life still insane (I think KitKat made it better)
One day, Nexii will have 15hrs of screen time too, and without a battery case. ... I can hope, right?
ah, yes. the reason I stopped using CM11 base ROMs on my Note 2. wakelocks out of fucking nowhere. guess I get to hunt down another non-shitty TW ROM.
Well, at the moment, PAC only has CM stuff + some other small stuff. Cant wait untill PA and others adds missing functions, like Hybrid UI (Which was the main reason i flashed PAC, altrough, i didnt knew PA still didnt update it for 4.4.2).
Samsung: hundreds of dollars of free apps/services: http://www.samsung.com/global/microsite/galaxys5/galaxygifts.html HTC: the phone is not a bandaid I think HTC wins this one
Hey guys, first time android user here. I got a galaxy note 3 which face punchers seem to be extremely against. Any reason why? And If it's truly such a bad phone what should I be looking for next time? Right now I've been enjoying the note 3, it's been running smooth and giving me no trouble.
Any reason why?
It's TouchJizz shit, and not #HOLO, and Duarte has condemned all TouchJizz users to death by hanging.
And If it's truly such a bad phone what should I be looking for next time?
Nexus 5.
Duarte has condemned all TouchJizz users to death by hanging.
Sheit
Anybody have any good FKU settings for Nexus 4? I'm getting about 2-3 hrs screen on time with FKU and Greenify most days on data

I've never seen anyone here against it...The Galaxy S 4/5, maybe, but as far as I know most people here adore the Note 3. Probably because it actually looks nice.

Yep, just got one. Neat. Chromecast in Play Music actually works now without crashing the whole phone!

Fonts and such look much more crisp.

I own a Galaxy note tablet and Touchwiz is terrible and slow as fuck. Tell me how much you know about me.
It sure would be nice if xposed would stop climbing up to 400mb of user data for seemingly no reason (I've deleted it a few times now and it doesn't seem to do anything). When you've only got 1.8gb of usable internal storage [sp]fuck this phone[/sp] it's a huge pain in the ass to suddenly not be able to update any apps.

[editline]4th March 2014[/editline] hey hey! I finally fixed my driver issue on my PC! I used the Nexus 7 Root Toolkit to give me a guide. I had to uninstall the driver with Device Manager, then use USBDeview to uninstall them again, and then I had to manually uninstall the universal ADB drivers, and then I had to do it all again, and then it finally saw my device in both MTP and USB Debugging modes. Time to install Omnirom to my Nexus 7 2013! Wish me luck!

And yeah, Samsung bends over backwards for carrier bloatware. Don't get me wrong, I like football, but I don't need a "NFL App Brought to you by Verizon" preinstalled on my phone, and even though it's literally illegal to restrict people from tethering on 4G, they still do it. I can't even USB tether my wireless connection on my phone to my laptop unless I get a custom ROM. Naturally wouldn't be a problem if I stopped buying shitty laptops that can't connect to the wireless, but still.
