So my note tablet's battery percentage jumped to 100% while the thing was charging. I'm gonna be keeping an eye on it and see if it does that again.
Sold my phone on ebay, and because I used a photo of it running flappy bird as an example in the auction the buyer requested I leave it installed on the phone :v:
I already wiped it, but I threw the APK on and installed it, whatever makes people happy I guess
I will never understand how that shit manages to improve market value of second hand phones

Tech illiterates don't know that if you have a usb cable and a computer, you can install flappybird on any android device. Sadly there's many people that don't know how to use something they use on a day to day basis.

Seeing how popular that app became, I can see a million flappy bird apks filled with malware.

I actually saw this on r/netsec a few days ago. Not exactly surprising, but interesting how they work.

This is either amazing satire or the worst thing I've ever read.

Brilliant way to get clicks though holy hell
Anyone see the latest development with the Droid's and Moto X's on Verizon? Motorola won't let you unlock your bootloader unless you have a code (or you have a "Developer Edition"). Someone found a guy in China that if you send him $40, he'll give you a unlock code. Sketchy as shit, but its been going for 2 weeks now without a single failure.
Wow that article.
I'm looking for a cheap usable phone for going on holiday/to parties with. I've found the Alcatel One Touch S'Pop for £50 (and it looks like a fairly nice phone tbh) but I'm wondering if anyone knows of something cheaper I can get in the next few days?
Second hand. Also, does it really have to be android? If not, you could probably pick up something for like £1-£5.

Personally I'd go for the Nokia 100. The problem with using an android (especially a cheapo one like that) as a party/holiday phone is the battery life.
The last thing you want is your phone running out at the last minute when you really need to find someone, and it's so easy in the midst of a holiday to forget to put your phone on charge before you go out, pick it up just before you go and it's got like 20%, then you have to choose between hoping it'l last and risking it running out, or turning it on when you need it at which point you aren't contactable by anyone else.
The Nokia 100 has amazing standby time, and all things considered is pretty rugged, which makes it an ideal party phone. Plus it only costs about £15.
I wonder though, what the hell made Flappy Bird so damn popular? Even while the developer quit it its still damn popular.
Also, that Samsung GT-I9001 is even faster than my fathers Galaxy Ace, even while that phone is younger than mine. (mine was released in 2011)
I heard something that the Galaxy S Plus was a flagship model back in the day?
My dad's phone is so slow I cause Android to crash when browsing Facepunch, because I'm used to the speed of the S Plus :v:
I think it had something to with that it was so simple that people felt dumb/frustrated when they didn't do so well as they'd like to. That, and it was really quick to just open up and play for a bit, and of course there's the social aspect.
The flappy birds dev is still getting paid from the ad revenue, people thought he was throwing away his ad revenue because he took them off the app stores.
He's bringing it back afaik
Am I missing something in the KitKat VPN menu? I want to set my PPTP VPN to always-on but it says there are no profiles.
What's the quickest and easiest way to sync text messages (and I guess contacts too) from one phone to another?
for contacts, just log in to the same google account on both phones.
Only way I know of to do texts is to backup, transfer the .xml and restore on another phone using this app
I got my Galaxy Note 2 and my MOGA portable today, the common white male dream of running Pokemon Emerald on a phone has never been better. Also what the hell these MOGA programs suck, the universal driver made my phone crash every five seconds or so
I finally accomplished what I wanted a tablet for in the first place.

I WAS considering getting an iPhone, but HTC is making a very good case for its next phone.

I mean figuratively, I don't know if their new phone case will be good yet

anker or don't bother
anker or don't bother
Had one for two years, rock solid.
anker or don't bother
Look at all of those products I need to compare and look at reviews...
anker or don't bother
I have an anker 10000mAh one and it's amazing, it can charge my Nexus 5 a ton of times before it's empty. Also amazon might still have a sale on it, I got it for like 20-30$ instead of 90$.
Only 50% sale now instead of like 80%

I looked at some on eBay, I hate how the list price is $0.99 but it's only for the charging sync cable and not the actual battery...
