Or you could just live in a country where rooting doesn't void your warranty.
Google (and apple) both put up words that say all purchases are final. In Australia, we have this saying "That's bullshit, and illegal"
Google (and apple) both put up words that say all purchases are final. In Australia, we have this saying "That's bullshit, and illegal"
Also works with EA and Valve "This game is broken as fuck, refund pz" "We don't do refunds" *Quote from some legal document* "Your account will be credited within 24 hours"
I left mine unrooted for a while, use it for a week or more before you go voiding the warranty Lets you see if you've got any weird defects you need to return it for
The good thing about a Nexus is that it's probably the easiest phone to fully restore to stock, so nobody will have a way to find out you voided your warranty. It seriously takes less than 2 minutes, provided you already have the factory image and ADB drivers downloaded/installed.
Sooo apparently there's a kitkat update on my rooted s-off htc one, but if i try to install it, it boots into recovery. wat do?
Whoo! Just bought a Nexus 5 today. Any ideas on what I should install on it/do with it?
touchwiz
I left mine unrooted for a while, use it for a week or more before you go voiding the warranty Lets you see if you've got any weird defects you need to return it for
Might as well learn to use it first
Are you talking to me? I don't think Verizon would tell me how to get my phone off of a rooted Paranoid Android ROM back to stock without bricking it, lol
Tell 'em you've got problems trying to update it.
PVSTAR+ doesn't support 2 step authentication so I cannot sign in with YouTube. Grr
touchwiz
oh god no

Sony Z2 ordered, I'm back guys.
Tell 'em you've got problems trying to update it.
I really don't think that'll fly. Would they not ask for the kernel and Android versions, as well as any other information identifying which version of Android and what ROM I'm on?

Apparently the S5 has a pretty good screen.
Best Smartphone Display: Based on our extensive Lab tests and measurements, the Galaxy S5 is the Best performing Smartphone display that we have ever tested. It has a long list of new records for best Smartphone display performance including: Highest Brightness, Lowest Reflectance, Highest Color Accuracy, Infinite Contrast Ratio, Highest Contrast Rating in Ambient Light, and smallest Brightness Variation with Viewing Angle. The Galaxy S5 has raised the bar for top display performance up by another notch – an impressive achievement for OLED technology!
http://www.displaymate.com/Galaxy_S5_ShootOut_1.htm
TouchWiz, more like HitlerJizz.
Only reason why I am using a TouchWiz based ROM now is because it very stable and has a better camera than stock. I use a custom theme so my eyes are not scarred on a daily basis.
So guys, any cool apps/games or things to do with a Nexus 7 2013? Is Chrome the best browser for it? It seems smooth but I kinda miss the AOSP browser which I use primarily on my S2. Is there any decent handwriting recognition or drawing apps you'd recommend?

It's April 1st in parts of the world already, get it right

I keep hearing about PlaceRaider, apparently some super-secret malware for Android that makes 3D models of your room using cameras or some shit. This is mentioned on a LOT of websites, but did it actually exist?

Wanted to catch at least one pokemon, too bad the nearest is a 6 hour drive away... Germany is completely empty. Then I noticed, that you do not have to go there in order to catch it. Disappointed and excited at the same time.
