Guys, which of the new flagship phones do you think is better? Xperia Z2 or HTC one m8?
The HTC M8 seems like the most "meh" phone this year to me. The camera is unimpressive, half of the sample shots I've seen on the internet had more grain than my Nexus 4. The design is worse than last year, the specs are basically similar to any other current flagship.. At least the S5 creates controversy with it's weird back cover and both S5 and Z2 are water resistant.
I'm sure loving my stay in Current Location... (Sanitizing town names and making sure every locale works, is like sticking your dick into a box full of africanized bees.)

And there's no excuse for it just being 4MP in 2014. There just isn't, no matter how much will anyone try to justify it. Some people probably couldn't even use that as a wallpaper on their desktops.
But how is the Dual camera on the new HTC One not better than Xperia Z2s camera?
ugh the reddit plugin for muzei broke
Going back to stock on my 4. Tired of mms not working with PA now and tinkering with all this kernel bs and rooting.

You can charge the Z2 with a magnetic cable that plugs in on the side, no need to open a flap like on the S5. IMO, a way better and more convenient than opening a flap constantly, the only time I need to open any of the flaps on my Z1 is when I'm charging my phone at school, but very often my battery lasts till I get home.
But how is the Dual camera on the new HTC One not better than Xperia Z2s camera?
Eh, how does having two cameras imply it would be better? One is a depth sensor anyways.
Google really should've added data transfer to the magnetic pogopin connector the Nexus 10 has. I don't know why they made it charge only, then dropped it after a few devices Sure there's Wireless charging, but it still can't do data transfer Maybe some kind of usb nfc adapter + inductive charger, I'd buy one of those
ugh the reddit plugin for muzei broke
Works fine for me.
ugh the reddit plugin for muzei broke
reddit sync pro has a muzei extension built in

Still ridiculous that the front facing camera has a higher MP than the main camera on the back...
Is it worth installing CyanogenMod on my HP Slate7? assuming it actually works without catching fire :v

google rewards comes to canada, I apply right away, waits for surveys...
How did you get blinkfeed working on AOSP?
http://xgaku.sakura.ne.jp/Htc_BlinkFeed_v8.zip Flash this, then to get weather working, copy this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/g9ki7y251whnzlx/Weather.zip Move the Weather.APK to priv-app, set permissions to rw-r-r and your set. Go to accounts, add account, HTC Weather Service, you can configure it from there (Switching from Fahrenheit to Celsius and stuff). Hold home, select Manage Home Screen pages, and set the BlinkFeed part as home. Tada! You now have a working blinkfeed, start adding your interests and have fun! What isnt working currently seems to be Twitter, HTC widgets still needs porting, Facebook and Google+ Plugins, but the most important parts works. You can also use App Settings XPosed module to try and fix the DPI on your device. In a Nexus 4, without the nav.bar, 340 DPI suits well, however, i still want to know the exact DPI from M8 to test.
yeah make like 1.23 in a month
better than nothing
I'm coming to a dilemma here. I'm not sure if I want the HTC One M8 or the LG G2 (Verizon). I've been weighing the options, and I can't quite commit yet. Either way will be an improvement over my GNex. I really like that the M8 has an SD card slot and the front facing speakers. But the G2 is a bit cheaper and camera is (maybe?) better, and I managed 32 GB on my GNex. Maybe someone with either of these could chime in?

G2 Do you want a ton of space for stuff? M8 Do you want to look weird with a phone with 2 cameras on the back? M8 Do you want a premium feeling phone body? M8 Do you want to save dosh? G2 Do you want to save more dosh? Nexus 5

I will probably go to the store one of these days and play with them, which may help as well.

If you don't really care about quality and say you're just gonna upload to facebook or youtube but will take crap ton of videos, and are usually lengthy, the M8 is probably better since it has a SD slot for up to 128GB extra. The G2 also has a heftier battery so that's another thing to consider. Regardless you can't go wrong.

Its normally for quick pictures for Facepunch or Youtube videos when I don't want to be arsed to get out the DSLR. I may end up getting the G2 for the battery as well as being significantly cheaper for a mostly similar feature set. The SD card slot does make the M8 tempting though.
gggggguuuuuuyyyyyyysssssss Offline currency converter that doesn't look like shit (read: Android guidelines compliant)? Also any suggestions for useful apps for travelling (places to see or whatever)? Going to Germany next week, need useful apps (the more offline the app can be, the better!).
Yo guys I'm on Slimbean Android 4.2 on a Glaxy S i9000 and I'd like to upgrade to a newer version. Now the last time I've done this was through ODIN with Radio and rom and all that stuff, I have problems with the speed of my phone and I think it's due to wrong filesystem but the newer guides don't even mention ODIN and the likes anymore, I'll just have to install the ROM through Clockwork mod. Is this legit?
If the ROM installation process doesn't mention fucking around with ODIN you're probably fine. Make sure your version of CWM is up to date since sometimes newer ROMs don't install correctly on an older version.
