Thanks! And yep I'll cache maps the day before I go.
I also have full Sygic offline maps of Germany (FYI Sygic made all their maps free lately, it seems), Google Translate German language downloaded, LoboWiki with some interesting places/related articles cached, Field Trip, Trip Advisor and Yelp downloaded.
am I ready y/n
install some camera apps and use them back and forth. see which one you really like. avoid shitty filter.
I have a Nexus 4. There's a shitty filter built into it. It's called the camera lens.
I got my Nexus 4 back on Wednesday, and the camera seems a lot better than before, both video and stills. Took this for a test of it.

I got a Moto G. Not really digging the size going from my busted Note 2. I don't know if I should replace the screen or just buy a nexus 5.
Ooh Google Opinion Rewards appears to be out in the UK now.

It came out yesterday for Canada too.
*patiently waits...
Having trouble deciding on a phone. Between the Samsung Galaxy S5 or the HTC One M8. Going from a Galaxy Nexus if that helps so the camera on both devices are better than what I currently have.
Edit: Anyone with a recommendation?
This is a bit beyond Android, but I think this thread might be a go.
I just purchased a replacement digitizer with the frame holding it, because the silver trim which is attached to it is banged up really hard somehow:

I need to know, does the frame that holds the digitizer also hold the main board and the rest of the parts? YouTube video's I found about it aren't very clear. I'm trying to gather as much information possible before the replacement parts arrive.
Oh, silly me, its a Samsung Galaxy S Plus GT-I9001

I'd say go with the M8 just because it looks like a more impressive device... But there's a pretty heavy bias against Samsung around these parts, so you're likely to hear:
M8, G2, Nexus 5, or Moto X.
I personally would go for the N5 over anything else (if I had the money :v:) simply because the price:performance is phonomenal.
The Moto X is also a good deal, $350 for a no contract device is pretty nice.

Doesn't the M8 have a really really really really shit camera?
Just got my first survey through Opinion Rewards.
"Question 1/7: Have you bought nappies from Asda or Aldi before?"
No
"Thank you, here's 50p."
Doesn't the M8 have a really really really really shit camera?
The new One doesn't have OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) in favour of the extra depth sensor and its features, so pictures and video comes out worse on the M8 than the M7. AnandTech has a video demonstrating the differences here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIdiX8kUuFw

I'm missing out here in Canada...
Yeah the M8 has a really bad camera but doesn't have touchwiz.
But the camera on the galaxy nexus is pretty meh too.
Lol ended up getting the Nexus 5, convinced my Dad to help me out. I'm excited!

This is so infuriating, every time after I get the typical "SD card disconnected" bug on CM, this bloody thing puts my SGS2 into a wakelock.
Is there any app which forcibly kills a process after 1 or 2 minutes of working?

Get a new SD card, yours is dying.

Seriously? But I've been using it for only 3 years.
Maybe I should try reformatting it?
I've only had my SD card for a couple weeks, and it's already acting up. Not updating the available storage and shit when I delete files off it...

Three years is a long time to be using an SD card. SD card disconnecting is usually a sign of a dying SD card afaik.

Using the app media scanner with blue icon on both sdcard0 and sdcard1 fixes it for me on omni, I tend to have to do it after each nightly opendelta update

My latest sd card lasted 6 months.
Would buying a class 10 MicroSD have any effect on the lifetime? All my MicroSD cards are class 10 and have never failed on me, even after up to 4 years of use in phones and other devices.
I've used my Patriot class 10 for almost 3 years now and it's still performing find. Lots of media read and writes.
When are you gonna get a new phone, gary? 2016?

So I've been rather busy with school so I still haven't found the time to get it done.
I'm just wondering if there will be phones by the time you get to it. Google will probably just put Android into your brain by that time :v:

Well Google I/O 2014 isn't until late-June so I'm pretty sure I'll get the nexus 5 phone before then. Not gonna wait till I/O.
