Is there anyway to get Android 4.4's Chrome browser to play flash content? Or must I use the sketchy as shit hacked plugin that works with Firefox?
Is there anyway to get Android 4.4's Chrome browser to play flash content? Or must I use the sketchy as shit hacked plugin that works with Firefox?
I think you can find an old APK of Adobe Flash but last time I did that it bugged out real bad.
I got one of Spigen's Ultra Crystal screen protectors The name isn't lying, you can't see it unless you look real closely at the edges Only downside is it isn't Oleophobic
I ordered some cheap ones off eBay. Never really had an issue with cheap screen protectors yet.
i don't wanna wait :(
AT&T isn't gonna ship mine out until Monday so I gotta wait as well.
If you're getting a N5, use a case. The back gets scratched and stained very easily and the letters will fall off otherwise.
The friends that have the black version complain that it takes forever to clean the back. Like it gets all oiled up pretty fast so they started to use cases instead. Oh and I finally found someone who had the white version. He didn't use a case and the white back still looks clean. Also I really like the feel of the back.... More than the black version...

I've never used any screen protector, do they have a big impact on touch responsiveness? Would you guys recommend using matte screen protectors? I saw my friend using one on his phone and thought it looked nice, so should I buy one, or is there some big disadvantage?

Matte screen protectors are OK and have their ups and downs. If you hate looking at your screen seeing eye-bleeding glare then definitely get one. I just stick with glossy ones because the matte one's make the screen and bezels look white-ish and generally degrade the screen quality way more. You would also see little bits of color crap from the screen protector since it's not as transparent as glossy ones. You can get them for cheap off eBay.
Oh well, got one for cheap. I'll never know if I don't try it out, it's not like they cost a fortune. [editline]10th April 2014[/editline] Also, lol, original IPhone screen protectors cost 15$. Blatantly overpriced, as to be expected.
I generally don't recommend screen protectors. All my phones have no scratches in them so I have never really been concerned and protectors basically just reduce screen quality.
To play flash content
Well, you're going to find it difficult to find an actual flash player for mobile since Flash is pretty much old news these days, but there are browsers that render the webpage on a server with flash so you can view flash content

I just get my friends to do it. I would take forever and bitch about the smallest speck of dust. The stuff at cell phone shops are all available off eBay for much less if you want to save some money. For an example, a $5 screen protector for my potato was a pack of 5 for $1 off eBay. This was from those super Asian cell phone stores in an already super Asian mall. A.k.a. never buying it from there again unless I really can't wait for the shipping. Also sometimes your stuff never arrives which is annoying. If you're willing to wait, have the possibility of it never arriving and are able to install it without freaking out, go for eBay.
Argh, my Z2 has been delayed until the end of the month. Dammit.
When's Google Wallet [del]breaking out[/del] available outside of of US?
Christ, i'm so glad Google Play exists. Makes downloading apps so much easier. I shouldn't have to run an app on my computer to be able to download apps for my phone. Glad I don't have an iOS device. It'd annoy me too much.
I generally don't recommend screen protectors. Within a week there was some hairline scratches. After a month now, there's like 3 scratches on the screen itself. The screen was never used without a screen protector for 2.5 years until now.
You don't need to do that on iOS though?
If I try going on the iTunes website on my laptop, it only allows me to see one page and if I want to do anything it makes me open iTunes. With Google Play, I can install and uninstall apps from the web browser with my device in another room.

You can just open the app store on your iPhone to download apps, and I'm pretty sure you can enable syncing via WiFi, download the app via iTunes, and sync it to your iPhone automatically.
Any particular reason you guys are going with the Nexus 5?
great phone + vanilla android + latest updates
Seems to be pretty easy to update your phone as long as you buy an unlocked phone in general. HTC was super speedy in updating all their unlocked Ones to Kitkat even with Sense 5/5.5. It's just the carriers that cause delays.
great phone + vanilla android + latest updates
Why not a better phone (spec wise) + vanilla ROM + updated ROM?
