do you guys want a GS5 4k test?
I have a feeling it will look exactly the same as 1080p.
Don't upload it into YouTube unless you want shit compression.
It just be the same 4k as the note 3...

Except no image stabilization

Well most of us don't have 4k monitors or screens so it's not really going to matter but if you want you can upload it onto some cloud storage service and share the link here.
what exactly does snapchat show the other person if you take a screeny?
I bought a galaxy s5, which has a superb battery, right?

If you sent a secret photo to someone, wouldn't you want to know what they did with it?

It shows an icon next to the picture and you get a notification.

Looks like a wakelock issue. Unless you root, you can't really figure out what's draining it anymore. :\

My friend who has a loaner S3, because his motorola died, and he would charge the phone to 100% after an hour class or two, the battery is at something ridiculous like 30%.
I'm due for an upgrade from my Milestone X2, which has been seriously acting up for a while. I'm on c-spire which means my choices are wait for Galaxy S5 in May, or buy the S4 now for $99. Is it worth it to wait for the S5? Is it a real upgrade to the 4?

If you want a heart rate monitor and a fingerprint scanner then yes. Otherwise not really.

S5 has better specs and apparently it has a really good display. However, that cunt KNOX.
specs are honestly useless these days apart from camera, battery size and internal storage
Guys, I really need some help here.
I installed TWRP recovery on my phone because CWM recovery and Cyanogenmod recoveries simply aren't supported on my phone. Is it safe to install a CWM based ROM of Android 4.4 on my phone? I really don't want to risk fucking my phone up.

I think I'll go for the 4 then.

Well when you install a ROM the recovery isn't overwritten, hence the idea of recovery, allowing you to recover your phone when you do fuck it up. As long as you're not expecting any important calls you might as well try it
Oh finally my school stops blocking GCM
ugh. it seems like my S5 might have a battery problem or something, something is definitely wrong. its doing about 10% every 30 minutes from just regular usage (chrome, reddit sync, facebook, and music). even if i just idle on the homescreen it does it.
Go to location settings and turn off google location reporting and location history. Also turn off sync, google now and the "OK Google" speech recognition thing.

Well I just wiped the thing, I think it successfully installed but it KEEPS booting to TWRP, this also happened when the stock ROM was installed. Am I missing something here?
Please, somebody help I'm about to pull my fucking hairs out. I've tried to update TWRP from 2.2.1 to 2.6.1.0, no dice. I can enter the download mode though.
i "think" it successfully installed? can you take a picture of the screen after it installs?

This is pretty old, not to mention it's a mockup by Android Police. A picture was posted to /r/Android a while back that showed what it was actually going to look like, and it was far nicer than that.

Also it's not exactly a new multitasking menu, the AP post was very confusing, but it seems to be like sub/web apps alongside normal apps to execute tasks quicker.

thank you.
the android police post was bullshit. i couldn't understand it at all. i feel like they just tried to sound like they knew what they were talking about without knowing jack shit or something.
