Would a factory reset through CWM remove Gapps? If not and I wanted a completely fresh install of CM 11 and Gapps what would I have to do?
no, it wouldnt remove gapps because it's part of /system. theres no real reason to want to do a fresh install because all "moving parts" are stored in /data — but even then, if you really want to fresh reinstall you just have to flash the rom and gapps over it again.
Have a Nexus 4. Any phones out there worth upgrading to? I hate the shit battery and camera on the N4 but I love stock android
Wait for the next Nexus in the fall, thats what I'm doing
So if I wanted a newer version of Gapps I just install it and don't worry about the old version as it's overwritten? Thing is, my camera is acting up on my GS2, both the stock camera and google camera crash when I do certain things such as record front facing video or enter the settings. But is the camera even a part of Gapps? Maybe I just need to factory reset, I went from one custom version of CM 11 called INFECTED or something over to just stock CM 11 (nightly), I deleted the cache and stuff didn't bother with a reset. Got a chance to Speedtest Mobilicity at my area. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/803684538 Meh. What's funny is that the reception icon on the notifications bar says it's on 4G.

[editline]21st April 2014[/editline] Next Nexus? There's actually a Nexus 6 coming this fall?
There's been a new one every year since the first one, why would this year be any exception? If by some chance there isn't I'll just buy a red Nexus 5 instead.
you put that shit on thE NEXUS 5?
Yeah I do. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ijtugl8.jpg[/t] Fight me.
I hadn't realised. I thought there was like a 3 year gap before the Nexus 5.
Yeah I do. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ijtugl8.jpg[/t] Fight me.
I don't understand why people use apps to see battery percentage in the status bar.
Yeah I do. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ijtugl8.jpg[/t] Fight me.
it's it's not centered peel that shit off now i hate youkmjhbge
I don't understand why people use apps to see battery percentage in the status bar.
To not be surprised by battery running out? Because numbers are more accurate?
Anyways I kinda dislike the green tint on my messages.
I'm not seeing this in the updated app [editline]21st April 2014[/editline] Oh, it's for hangouts only. Why? That's dumb..
I'm not seeing this in the updated app [editline]21st April 2014[/editline] Oh, it's for hangouts only. Why? That's dumb..
Its to distinguish them from SMS
Its to distinguish them from SMS
Still silly, why not give texts a different color? It'd be so much easier to tell the difference between your texts and someone else's. None of my friends have Android phones, much less use Google Hangouts. Grr.
To not be surprised by battery running out? Because numbers are more accurate?
I have completely forgotten that stock ROMs typically don't give you the option to show battery percentage. Such peasantry.
it's it's not centered peel that shit off now i hate youkmjhbge
Close enough. At least it's not partially off the screen or anything. It's not covering any part of the front facing camera or other sensors.
I have completely forgotten that stock ROMs typically don't give you the option to show battery percentage. Such peasantry.
I'm pretty sure most do. Both of my phones have.
Yeah I do. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ijtugl8.jpg[/t] Fight me.
Having that battery meter is like having 2 clocks plus it's on the wrong side plus the 5 is clipping the circle plus you can have percentage anyways.
The battery indicator is Gsam battery monitor, I use it to see how much time left, the devices internal temperature and how long it takes until it's done charging. And I can see the average on screen time I'm getting so far, which is 5 hours and 30 minutes. But then again someone mentioned this app on the group Hangout chat https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ethanf.nexusbatterypercentenabler And now I'm happy and I'm gonna hide that notification icon now. I usually check my phones battery quickly and the percentage gave a good idea of how much battery I have left.
Battery monitoring apps drain your battery.
Only a little. Captain Obvious. [editline]21st April 2014[/editline]
it's it's not centered peel that shit off now i hate youkmjhbge
I'll leave it on until it gets super scratched up, which is probably 3 months from now. I dunno. I applied it last week so it's new and stuff. It also took me a long time to get it done in a humid room.
So my phone finally died, the charging flaps came lose and water when in, so the screen died, but the backlight works. The guy was nice enough to accept my warrenty. Hope all goes well for my xperia z
[t]http://i.imgur.com/9TTq0WX.jpg[/t] I got 10 cents for this.
explain this https://maps.google.com/locationhistory/b/0
I only turn my 3G on when I need to, so this thing keeps saying I've skipped across creeks and residental areas to get to places [editline]22nd April 2014[/editline]
So sms and hangout messages are now being merged.
The flash is suppose to turn on for HDR, right?
That's optional, you can turn off the flash.
That's optional, you can turn off the flash.
Huh. It seems like its enabled by default and it kinda pisses me off.
