You can't get warranty after a year can you?
Not sure, is that the manufacturer warranty? I think we have 3 years in Norway, but no clue if it clashes with manufacturer warranty.
the OnePlus One is a better option than the N5 now.
It seems like a great phone, but I'm really trying not to jump on the hype train, I just suspect there will be something seriously wrong with it. I mean everything about it so far seems almost too good to be true. plus, you can't just leave the Nexus family :v:
Oh hey, Overv just posted a Lens blur to 3D model thingy on reddit.
It's basically the Galaxy S5 for $300.
Except it is IPS and has no MicroSD slot
the OnePlus One is a better option than the N5 now.
apparently some shady stuff is going on from a quick glance. I haven't done my research, but the most popular thread on their forum was about "the company being founded on lies" which the majority of users agreed with on the first page.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.lumen This is by far the best f.lux-like app for Android. It's now standalone and free, but requires root and I think 4.4+ and has the option to upgrade to pro which I will be doing.
I remember one of the employees of the company saying it could hide under an Xperia Z1, which turned out to be false since the Z1 is way smaller. Anantech says most of their buzzwords are already widely used in the industry. Despite all that, the phone seems good for its price, just nothing that makes it stand out besides the price. Sorta like the N5.
Alright guys, I plan on upgrading this weekend from my s4. Which one of these new fangled smartphones should I get?
Just to be at the safe side as I had to many bad roots on my S3 . Can I get a guide on how to root my Nexus 5 and what would be the best kernel/rom whatever to put on it to improve battery?
Well, what makes stand out other phones? Because I see nothing spectacular. What counts most is being fast in UI and in apps, good camera, good screen, good desing and other options, that matter for each person (like, I cant stand phone that has only software buttons, what a waste of screen space, and ugly addition to UI) I mean, really, what HTC M8 can offer that 1+1 doesnt have, that is worth ~300 euro more? ~300!

GG, Dad's iPhone arrived. Gurl got me a HTC One!
the OnePlus One is a better option than the N5 now.
I like how there isn't a 32GB version.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/4-5-Rugged-Android-4-2-Phone-IP67-GPS-Compas-WalkieTalkie-Laser-ZGPAX-S9-/171256508312?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item27dfaeef98 If it wasn't for the lack of a UMTS radio I would buy this in an instant.
Oh man, a noname android phone. The list of possible wrong things with this can be endless. also my sexy Nexi is going to arrive tomorrow morning, shit's fast yo.
Oh, and there's that ill-conceived phone smashing contest starting on April 25th. The company will allow 100 lucky winners to destroy their current device to get a free OnePlus One. Okay, guys.
Hmmmm, my current device is my Sony Potato.... Yeah.
Hmmmm, my current device is my Sony Potato.... Yeah.
And mine is a Nokia N9 not my HTC One, nope [editline]23rd April 2014[/editline] I would feel guilty about crushing it if I won this contest, but then again I probably would not be able to, it's a damn Nokia.
I like how there isn't a 32GB version.
Its because 64 is of 32 price, and 16 is for people that want to buy cheapest version. 32 is unneccesary here.
Its because 64 is of 32 price, and 16 is for people that want to buy cheapest version. 32 is unneccesary here.
Which is good because the people who want the 32GB probably want more storage anyways so might as well throw in 64GB.
So I got my Nexus 5 rooted and unlocked bootloader, should I just stick with Stock ROM or go with a custom rom? Looking to improve my battery as a start.
So I got my Nexus 5 rooted and unlocked bootloader, should I just stick with Stock ROM or go with a custom rom? Looking to improve my battery as a start.
Go Paranoid Android!
Go Paranoid Android!
Downloading gapps for it now, so slow. 333kb/s and its going to take 15 minutes. It usually takes like 1 minute.
So I got my Nexus 5 rooted and unlocked bootloader, should I just stick with Stock ROM or go with a custom rom? Looking to improve my battery as a start.
I stuck with stock but installed Xposed Framework and Gravitybox. It's stock with all the features of the big ROMS like cyanogen.
Alright guys, I plan on upgrading this weekend from my s4. Which one of these new fangled smartphones should I get?
Nothing unless you're unhappy with your S4, the LG G2 is a good choice along with the Nexus 5 but they are only just slightly better besides the G2's battery. Wait until the LG G3 comes out or maybe a LG G Pro 2 if they ever come to anywhere but Korea/Europe. If I knew anything about the M8 or the S5 I'd maybe recommend those but other than the GS5 being fully Knox'd out although still rootable, I'd just pass personally since they are just hardly better than a G2 but twice the price.
Why not Z2?
After using my Nexus 5 for a week now, I've noticed that the micro usb cable is kind of hard to insert and it kind of scratches up the phone body. As seen in the photo below. [t]http://i.imgur.com/emfglWd.jpg[/t]
