Has anyone here attempted to run a non-Android linux distro on their android phones with X11, Wayland through libhybris or a Framebuffer terminal?
Haven't seen people do it on phones, but I know that it was done with some tablets, like the nexus 7 or some asus transformers.

Also, no external storage...not master race.

According to plans confirmed by sources of The Information

To read the full article: Subscribe now or Sign in
To actually read their "sources", you have to pay a $400/year subscription. I'm betting it's bullshit until we see something that isn't "that guy totally said something" :v:

Plus, Nexus is the best sounding device name out of the current phones.

Some of these people I don't even know, and these are also people who unlike us know more than usual about the android world. It's up there with the Samsung S and HTC one [editline]4th May 2014[/editline] Unlike my old phone "It's a Huawei sonic" 'The fuck is that?' *Open wikipedia
I love how people stare at my red Nexus 5. I've already been asked twice if it's a N5 and I only have it for a week! I haven't seen many N5's around myself, just one black and one red (and that was the impulse that convinced me to get a red one, because damn, dat color), but a decent amount of people have N4's here.
My older brother got a Red one after I got my black one. He named it Crimson Rose (or Red Rose, meh). I also noticed how the non-black versions actually have less grip on the finish. But the black really does help my phone's appearance, I'm an avid customiser
So I wanna switch from Cyanogenmod to some other rom like Omnirom, but how can I switch and keep all my apps and settings and shit with as little fucking around as possible.
Titanium Backup and do a batch backup of user apps. You'll have to fuck around with bundled system apps and system settings on the new ROM, though.
When my cousin got his Z Ultra someone asked him if it was the new Apple iPad. I don't see many nexus devices out here nor do a lot of people, I know, know what that is.
Well I mean the Z Ultra is gigantic its not THAT bad a mistake to make [editline]4th May 2014[/editline] it's been reduced in price by the way, if anybody wants a giant phone
How can I go about getting a better battery on the galaxy s4? [T]http://i.imgur.com/yh3Bhr4.png[/T]
Putting your phone on sleep, Find apps that use excessive battery WiFi off when not needed
I think I know what the problem is but I feel like when I ignore snap chats it has a tendency to kill my battery. The app that I think is at fault is cast to upnp/dlna but I need that.
How can I go about getting a better battery on the galaxy s4? [T]http://i.imgur.com/yh3Bhr4.png[/T]
there's your problem
there's your problem
Yeah that's about when I turned on that cast app. Guess its just something I have to deal with because it's basically my only option to stream Google music to dlna. [editline]4th May 2014[/editline] Is there a better option for streaming music to a raspberry pi? I want to have control from my phone and all my music is on the cloud with Google play.
Haven't seen people do it on phones, but I know that it was done with some tablets, like the nexus 7 or some asus transformers.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/HdtlEsQ.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/cbhMun5.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/Y7YAsxF.jpg[/t] I've done it before, it's kind of hacky though.
Would you say any of them are useable?
Well, I tried a lot of different things, and I have to say that installing arch using the instructions here were probably the hardest and most hackiest, but I learned that from this, you can use the usb cable to control the actual device while setting everything up. That in mind, I basically took the Ubuntu Touch rom and flashed that, then used the same method to remove the shitty desktop environment that doesn't work out of the box and replaced it with what is seen above. It's ok but needs some tweaking to get it smooth. The onscreen keyboard is a bit annoying to work with but overall, if you really needed a linux environment, it'd work. Not as good as android, but it's fun to fuck around with. [editline]4th May 2014[/editline] I couldn't figure out arch's graphics driver shit. Maybe I can give it another shot, my tablet's right here...so... [editline]4th May 2014[/editline] If you want to try it, I can help you out on steam or something.
How can I go about getting a better battery on the galaxy s4? [T]http://i.imgur.com/yh3Bhr4.png[/T]
GPe or are you running a custom ROM? I find that on my Note 2, AOSP ROMs have shit for battery life (especially CyanogenMod.)
GPe or are you running a custom ROM? I find that on my Note 2, AOSP ROMs have shit for battery life (especially CyanogenMod.)
Circle battery, looks like a custom ROM then.
Hi, Cole.
Circle battery, looks like a custom ROM then.
Could be an Xposed module.
My friend has one, its beautiful.
I didn't touch it tho.
I finally saw a red Nexus 5. [t] http://i.imgur.com/gsbNEDZ.jpg[/t] It is so bright and eye bleeding
It's so AWESOME. The best shade of red.
It's so AWESOME. The best shade of red.
If I had my Sony Potato with me at the time I could have taken a photo with all 3 colors because I can.
Could be an Xposed module.
It's CyanogenMod
I didn't touch it tho.
Its a softer plastic than the white but harder than the black soft-touch
