If you go here you can get two months free instead of the usual one, today only though. You're billed nothing for two months so go grab this up.
Some people like me ran into issues where Google thought I was in USA and gave me a USA dollar pricing :v:
If you're running into issues, bother Google play support.
I switched to Omni from Cyanogen. It's nice... not really much different at all but hopefully it's better on battery.

Ehhh fuck it I might as well try it put before I set my shit up with omni. Still curious as to why you chose PA over Omni?

I'm afraid to restart it
I have a big ingress event in two weeks,
What's the best rom for battery life?
Going to need to use Cellular + GPS + Screen for four hours straight on my N5
Is it just me or does the latest Google play music app update flicker the album art when tho use on the music player part in portrait mode?
Is it true that Cyanogen allows for PS3 controllers to be compatible with Android devices?
I have a Nexus 7 that I'd like to use a PS3 controller for some games.

I thought they were pretty much out of the box. Maybe you need an app though.

It's native on the nexus 7. Just plug the controller in using an OTG cable. Now if you want wireless, all you need to do is root the nexus 7.

Paranoid Android adds really cool features just like most ROMs do, however when something is added to Paranoid Android, it feels like it should be there and not added by a third party developer, it all just fits in really well with Stock in the way they're designed and used.
Features like Peek and Hover are two biggies for me. While Peek has now been ported to other phones as an app, it's always better to have a feature build right in than have it as a separate app.
last time I tried out PA (sometime in 2012) it just felt like a big mess. it worked, but nearly all the features felt like useless gimmick, which was also inconvenient and slow to use compared to other alternatives.
one example is the pie menu, or at least how it was back then. it was often in the way and it was "harder" to get to compared to the quick settings bar in the notifications menu.
my general impression of PA is that the devs work quick and add tons of new features, but most of them are incredibly useless, but nice to look at.
I have a pretty outdated view on it though, and haven't been very active in the ROM scene since the end of 2012 so take what I say with a truck full of salt. I'd love to take a new look at PA but after some quick googling, I haven't found any features list or anything like that. their homepage only lets me download the ROM from the looks of it

I think you're better off getting an external battery, no ROM will make Ingress any more battery friendly.
If you're playing in the day time, you're gonna want the screen brightness to be high enough so you can actually see what you're pressing.

It's still in the mail ;_;
Anyone feel like adding me on G+ so I can call you a faggot while I'm at college?
My glass screen protector I got off eBay arrived. So much foam packaging...

Need some Bluetooth app and maybe a otg cable to sync the controller last I checked. Other than that you can pretty much use the ps3 controller on an Android phone.
Sony devices just need the cable, factory software already built in since I think the first Xperia Z.
So Snapchat won't let me take or send videos. Yes my normal camera works fine and I've used it to record videos with no issues. I've updated snapchat, tried reinstalling, clearing cache and so forth. Any ideas? Phone is a ZTE Majesty.
P.S. Is Facepunch broken for everyone or just me?

Try putting in an SD card if you don't have one in already.

If your phone uses SD cards.
Yup theres one in
Omnirom doesn't seem to like using the LED. Works sometimes on emails, but doesn't seem to work for SMS, Kik or Snapchat.
So why precisely does Android not have any way of updating the password on your Google Account besides deleting the account and readding it?
This is unacceptable.
What? When I changed my password, it prompted me to update it the second I looked at my phone.
Aye, it throws up a notification when the phone tries to sync with Google and the login fails, and it asks you to relogin.
