So why precisely does Android not have any way of updating the password on your Google Account besides deleting the account and readding it?
This is unacceptable.
cause unless you're a weirdo who thinks google is the devil and has blocked all google sync background stuff
google sends a GCM to your phone saying "hi the account password change prompt the user to fix their password please thanks!!"
I bought a galaxy s5. it's really nice. my only complaints are that it's hard to open the charger port door unless you have long fingernails and that the charger itself has a weird plug so I can't borrow my friends chargers if I don't have mine

You can use a normal Micro USB cable it plugs into the right side of the port. It just has a USB 3.0 Port which has extra bit I guess for more bandwidth?

The new charger is USB 3.0. So it charges faster and has a faster data transfer rate. Give it a few months/years and every smartphone will have it.
Also reinstalled Themer again now they fixed the annoyances I had with it. So I can be super lazy with my theming.

To clarify a bit. You can listen to audio post but you're still not able to post them from the app.

that's neat then, but my friends still can't borrow mine.

I really hope that USB 3.1 type C will replace USB 3.0 before it becomes massively adopted by manufacturers.
Oh god, those pink nav buttons, why.
eugh my eyes
the icons look fairly ugly imo, and the background clashes with the color of your statusbar and navbar

I put the icons in a couple days ago,
I'm still trying to find something decent to replace them with
I don't think the colours are that clashing, and even then it's only applying to one screen throughout the whole phone

Browse the web.
I never use custom icon packs
Tried a few, but there's always be a few apps the pack misses, so it looks like shit unless you make them yourself

those icons look a lot better than the old ones. it looked like you were going for a retro look, but then you see the app drawer icon, the widgets, the navbar, etc and it just doesn't fit in at all. the statusbar looks okay, but the navbar doesn't sport the look of pink at all in my opinion. if you were to change the navbar colors, it'd then look weird against the pink statusbar so I'd change both if I were you.
the background doesn't look all that good either in my opinion. it's too cluttered and draws attention from stuff like icons and widgets.
It's 4K because portrait 1080p or higher.

because when you login to your google account on your phone it doesnt store the password, but a session token. ur session token is not invalidated by changing password. theres a way to deauthorize devices somewhere in googles site.
What's annoying about Google's login is the "Add a Google account" login breaks if you have two-step enabled
It'll keep giving you invalid password over and over until it gives up and takes you to a browser page to log in, then it'll actually ask for the code

At least you don't have to actually turn off 2 step auth

it doesnt give you invalid password, it tells you you have to login through the browser. if you want to skip that you can press the menu button and press 'browser login'. wheres the problem?
2nd Z2 has been sent my day, time to get it all set up again!
Mine should be coming in a couple days
What? When I changed my password, it prompted me to update it the second I looked at my phone.

Aye, it throws up a notification when the phone tries to sync with Google and the login fails, and it asks you to relogin.
None of these happened.
The only reason I even realized it was a problem was I noticed Google Music wasn't syncing yesterday (and I changed the PW right after Heartbleed)
That's awesome and all, but I think actually testing that stuff is kinda stupid. What if they oversold the certification and the phone died as soon as you dropped it in the pool? That would have sucked.
I mean, I guess the alternative is having blind faith in the manufacturer to actually produce a product with those specifications, and blind faith isn't always a good thing.
Even with waterproof phones they still don't cover water damage since I guess it's hard to prove you didn't leave a port cover open.
I wonder what's taking them so long to put water proof ports... Or water resistant ones..
well water conducts electricity and i'm not sure that you can do anything about that
