Does anyone know what I could do about poor signal issues?
When I'm at home my signal is always -105 dBm by average, even when I'm in the backyard, but when I'm near the cell tower near my school's property, I do get a decent signal. Indoors too.
Oh and before I forget, my house is a bit less than 6 kilometers from that cell tower.
I've contacted my carrier about this, but are there any things I could try myself before they actually tell me something? I want to solve this issue because it drains my battery pretty bad.

Sorry, I forgot. It's a Samsung GT-I9001 running Cyanogenmod 11
My dad got an HTC One M8 from Verizon for $99, and they gave him a free tablet for Mother's Day weekend, the Verizon Ellipsis 7. http://www.phonearena.com/phones/Verizon-Wireless-Ellipsis-7_id8207
Not something I would buy myself, but for a free thing they shoved in our faces this tablet works better than I would expect it to. Speakers are nice and loud (louder than my Nexus 7 2013, for sure,) screen is bright and legible, it seems snappy enough for everyday use, and it has 4G LTE for no additional cost on our contract. I can't really complain.
That Verizon logo on the front
Logos on the front should be illegal.

It is weird cause we tried some new sex positions
It's a Sony thing afaik
They got rid of it in 4.4, or it's just glitched on my phone where it doesn't show anymore.

Yeah she gave me the new Kid Cudi album.
For anyone in Canada, there's a bunch of music albums on sale for $1.49

They have such an ugly logo as well.
it's not even a logo, it looks like a scratch. The text alone would look better.

I thought this was a standard S4 at a glance and started examining my Verizon S4 for the marking on the button in a confused daze.
Ever since I switched to OmniRom the "Okay Google." hotword isn't working. Any clues to why or is this a common problem with Omni right now?
Artem from AP joined the Android Hangout just as Connor posted a poop emoji and then Artem left.
Great going Connor.

You're welcome. I'm also far superior to Artem.

This is why he actually left.
"Oh shit! It's the dude from Holofication Nation! He's too great for me to handle, I'd better leave before I fan boy"
We reinvited him and, since he blocked me after I asked him to come back, we devised a plan to try and get him to stay.

Wow guys
Hah fuck Verizon. Only S3 to have a locked bootloader so I can't get off this 4.3 shit.
Having just aquired myself a new Galaxy S5 since my old S2 disappeared, do you guys have any recommendation for good apps? I've heard loads about different ROMs, but I've never had a reason to install one. I wouldn't mind fine-tuning my phone a bit more to my likings and trying out new things, but I have no idea where to start. Also just general app ideas would be nice.

There's something really weird going on with this tablet. It has a bunch of apps already installed, from Google and a couple of bloatware apps, but Google Play doesn't see them as being installed in the context of the update manager, but it sees them installed when I manually look them up. This means that I gotta sit there and manually update each app one by one, and it's a pain in the ass.
My Nexus 5 on Telenor didn't. It actually had no carrier software, which kind of sucked actually.
Thats kind of the point of Nexus devices.
Wow Sony what. Z3 in August? Wow really? Geez.

I'm really sorry.
you drag around a number you defined -- in my case, '8' -- to a position you defined to unlock the phone. the appeal is that no matter where you drag, all the numbers move, so i could unlock my phone on your face and you would have no idea what number i moved where.
id say part of the appeal is that nobody understands what the christ im doing anyway so who cares.
