What's a decent cheap phone? I lost my xperia sp a while back and want something that's roughly the same in terms of performance and PPI. cheap huawai or Alcatel phones have shit resolution screens, I was considering a moto g as you can get one on eBay for £100 and they are updated to kitkat

You should probably go for the G. It's great for the price.
Unified Remote is pretty cool, there's a mouse input feature that you can use to operate a mouse on your phone that controls the cursor of your computer.
Given Google's track record, how much longer can I safely estimate that they'll support the Nexus 5 for?
My S3 has been having some problems and it's time to upgrade
[del]a year?[/del]

Galaxy Nexus was dropped mainly because of TI not having a SoC department for mobile anymore
i'd put it at about 18-20 months official google, then you'd probably be able to get another 8 or so using custom ROMs

I bought this case today, it's coming in the mail. I got it because my dad got this case for his HTC One M8 and I really liked it, it seemed sturdy with a nice texture.

But how come everything but the GPS is kinda low?
People with Nexus 5, do you have issues with your WiFi? For some reason my N5 loves to disconnect from my home wifi network.

Google keeps retrieving GPS data for some reason (activity card maybe?).
Do what I do - get Tasker and Secure Settings, and set Tasker to turn on GPS when you enter certain apps, then off when you leave them.

Open Google Now > Settings Menu > Accounts And Privacy > Turn off Commute Sharing (if enabled) > Google Location Settings > Tap Google Location Reporting > Location Reporting > Switch Off

Drops out once a day, but reconnects almost instantly for me.
Heya. I don't go in this section often but I had an inquiry about my Android. I have an HTC Desire 601, and there's a function so that when you press the home screen and swipe up, it opens Google Now. Is there anyway for me to change it so instead of opening Google Now it opens a different app, like my default SMS/texting app?
Well, nevermind, I ended up using a shoddy app. Works well enough

Odd, sometimes for my home network it likes to not connect, despite having full wifi reception. Turning the wifi off and back on does nothing. Sometimes rebooting does nothing..
It's an odd mystery, other devices have no issues at all..
Was anyone here been able to get HL2 working on a non-Tegra device? I've been trying to get it on my Nexus 5 but it just crashes after the splash
Where do you get it? I have a Tegra 3 in my phone so I might try it.

On the play store
It's currently Shield exclusive so it'll take some buggery to get it downloaded
gonna try that tomorrow
make sure your routers firmware is up to date while you're at it
Hangouts' merged conversations thing is pretty unintuitive, it turns out you need to manually merge sms/hangouts convos sometimes
