Hangouts' merged conversations thing is pretty unintuitive, it turns out you need to manually merge sms/hangouts convos sometimes
If google doesn't knows they're the same contact it can't merge the conversations.
Yesterday, I ordered an iPhone 5 cable for my sister because she asked me for one. I ordered it, and later that day she told me not to order it because she found it cheaper somewhere else. So I went to cancel an order on Amazon for the first time ever.
Then the maker of the cord e-mailed me personally. I have never had a seller on Amazon contact me like this before.

Thanks for rubbing it in, assholes.
Feck, just called the support of my phone's carrier because of my signal strength issue at home.
So far I already tried a few things:
Checked if there are not too much obstacles by testing my signal strength in our backyard, same as indoors
Checked how the signal strength is on my dad's Galaxy Ace because he always has full strength indoors, but uses a different network.
I also noticed, my mom has a different provider, but is on the same network as I have, and also has a poor signal. So my guess is it's a coverage issue on our end.
Are there any things I could do at this point to increase my signals at home? I'm sick of my battery being drained at home, AND calls dropping because of this.
There are signal boosters, but depending on your provider, you're going to have to pay for it upfront and maybe even pay for it monthly.
2nd Z2 is here!

Well, yeah, how else is the CEO supposed to afford his next Maserati?

At least he has a fine taste in supercars.
The moto E seems like a good upgrade. Might change to it from my S1.
Moto E looks great for my mom, just waiting for it to come out in Canada for Pre-Orders.. (somewhat late mothers day present? Or birthday present.)
She's coming from a Nokia x7 she has been using for almost 3 years. The camera is 8MP and does an OK job in general.
Will make typical unboxing video.
Looking to customize my phone. What's the best free launcher out there?
Is Solo launcher any good?
Can I join the google hangout?

How do push notifications/location services/etc work when you change devices? Should I log out of my Google account and factory reset my phone before moving the sim card over, or will everything just work?

it should all work fine
if you're really paranoid, factory reset first
I think the power button on my N4 is on the way out.
Fuck a duck.

As soon as you sign in on the new device, notifications will be pushed to that device. For example, with Google related notifications, all notifications will be pushed to all devices that are set to sync with each service. A factory reset isn't necessary.
However some notifications, like Gmail, will be cleared from other devices as soon as you read the mail.

Alright, thanks. I'll probably factory reset anyway just so there isn't a device laying around logged in to all my accounts but it's good to know it'll just work.
How exactly is the "Insufficient Storage Availible" warning triggered, and can I work around it? I try to update a 5MB app with over 200MB of free space, but I still get that error.
How in the world does Omni have more features than CM while having a superb battery life overall

No idea, I still need to switch over.

Now you remind me of my dad's TERRIBLE Galaxy Ace which only was 290MB of internal storage.
You can only install 2 applications and that's it.
Yesterday I tried to upload a .pdf file which I could only download in Dutch on his phone. Wanted to install Dropbox but it didn't have enough storage space available. Ended up wiping the shitty bloatware apps.
How can I debloat my father's S2 which is bloated with Samsung and Vodafone apps
It's locked to Vodafone AUS currently
So this phone is great besides some of the software and the camera shutting off during any overheating. There is a huge heatwave this week, so I've not gotten much if a chance to use it outside yet.
Anyone know any good dialer and contact manager apps?

What's wrong with the stock dialer and contact manager?
Sony's implementation does not do contact syncing as well as HTC's did. I'm wondering if I can find the stock one somewhere, searching from the dialer sounds like a cool feature.
Define contact syncing. I dunno exactly how Sony does it but my Samsung aggregates contacts from my Google account, and i have profile photos and whatnot synced from Facebook using UberSync.
Do you guys think that coming from a huawei y300, a moto e is a good upgrade?

That's what Sony's attempts to do, but it does not seem to do a good job of it at all compared to HTC's implementation.

I would honestly go for Moto g if you can afford a little more. It's a much better phone.
