Just dry it I did the exact same thing
Just dry it I did the exact same thing
I've ran my S1 underneath the garden hose for 5 minutes and completely flushed it out with water. Left it overnight in rice to dry out and it worked.
Instant rice not uncooked rice
nah its totally IP67
you just subjected it to vapor which IP ratings don't require

also 1m of water is equal to about 16psi
average water pressure in a house is 60psi
this post is why waterproof electronics are dumb IMO, people get a false sense of security
it didn't get anywhere near the actual shower, and i don't think the water pressure of droplets bouncing off my shoulder would be anywhere near 16psi.

guess i'll wait and see. not like i can do anything about it anyways.

all i can say is don't buy this phone, unless you can get it with an unlocked bootloader, because that would make up for all my problems and probably would fix one or two.

also i lose about 1% every 3 minutes while browsing google in ULTRA POWER SAVING MODE. fuck this phone seriously.
I unplugged my g2 like 20 minutes ago and its still at 100% :v:
Z2's battery life is pretty magical as well. I've not experienced this since my iphone. Anyway even a completely waterproof phone will go quiet when drenched.
apparently the speaker is made of paper. gj samsung.

Same on the Z1, I tried using it in the shower once and never did it again, it was louder to just have it on my sink.
cool, its almost back to normal!
yup. my phone is plagued with problems, wether they're hardware, software, or cosmetic. i might just have to make a video about this to release some anger.
RMA that shit now

Also I got that about 2-3 weeks ago, Sony SBH52 Wireless Headset, and my biggest surprise was that thing was basically a tiny portable speaker, you can blast music through it, without earphones. It's also nice to have the earphones in your ear, and hear "ONE NEW MESSAGE FROM 'PERSON'," while driving, but there needs to be a slider for volume on computer reading. Though the only real problem is the random bluetooth disconnection, then again I had that back on my old SE Aino.
NFC is so nice when your laptop, phone, and headset can connect with a touch.
RMA that shit now
toooo late for that.
edit: guess i'm dumb for att's shit policies. no more than 14 days after purchase for no-questions return, assuming the device is in perfect condition. no more than 30 days after purchase to buy insurance. its been about 45 days.

FYI: earphones while driving is usually illegal depending on state
A bluetooth headset isn't I think, but that one looks more like wireless earbuds, which would probably be illegal.
A bluetooth headset isn't I think, but that one looks more like wireless earbuds, which would probably be illegal.
in Cali if you have things in both ears, then it's illegal. no matter what items.
1 BT or earbud in 1 ear is ok, i believe as long as you can drive safely
you know if i had a $660 galaxy s5 (and i do) i probably wouldn't even test my luck and bring the fucking thing into the shower with me
i don't care how water resistant a phone says it is, why would i willing subject it to something that it is only designed to encounter and protect against in a major accident
[editline]17th May 2014[/editline]
plus yeah the whole vapor thing, i've zapped a few electronics through humidity in a bathroom
A bluetooth headset isn't I think, but that one looks more like wireless earbuds, which would probably be illegal.
It is a bluetooth headset, it pairs with the phone and phone calls are transmitted through the headset, I've only done it a handful of times since I've gotten it so recently, but I only have one earbud in my ear while driving and AFAIK it is fine, and what ClaBrendon said.
The permit test in California has a question about this, no kind of earwear blocking both ears from sound.
Though a lot more of the times I have it plugged in to an aux cable, because of the smaller profile, it won't wiggle about wildly in the cup holder, for whenever I put my phone in the cup holder it is constantly hitting the sides from turning.
My Dad just told me a friend of his is preordering the new iPhone for me when it comes out and I have to use it oh god
I unplugged my g2 like 20 minutes ago and its still at 100% :v:
I decided not to charge mine last night, it made it to 9pm today. I had it in airplane mode in any areas which don't have service though.

the fact that you said permit test implies you're under 18.
in California if you're under 18 you aren't allowed to use any sort of hands free equipment for your phone

You're saying it as though it doesn't matter whether they're driving or not. :v:

Being a douchebag is against the law in California, haha.
Speaking of humidity, once I left my phone in the bathroom, on the shelf above the sink. I took a shower with the window closed and the only thing providing ventilation was the vent.
I was like for 10 minutes in the shower, only the back panel and digitizer got wet by humidity. It still works, but by reading the above posts, I m not gonna expose my GT-I9001 to humidity again.
Can Nexus 5 run TouchWiz?
You want shitty water damage?
Back when my dad had a Wildfire, he was working outside with it in his pocket and managed to get sweat on it
The digitiser wouldn't respond until we left it to dry for hours :v:
OH. MY. FUCKING. GOD. YOU GUYS KNOW HOW THE S5 IS SUPPOSE TO BE IP67? YEAH THATS BULLSHIT.
I just fucking took a shower with my phone, playing music, about a foot and a half away from the running water. I always religiously triple-check every single point on the back of the phone to make sure that its not fully snapped in, keep that in mind.
So it got a bunch of droplets of water on it, as expected, and definitely not enough to exceed the pressures of 1 meter water. My music ends, and i go to the next song and notice that the speaker is much quieter now and sounds kinda distorted. I restart the phone, get out of the shower, and test it again. Still quiet and distorted. Guess some fucking water broke the speaker somehow. C. O. O. L.
I'm pretty sure that's suppose to happen. Just wait a few hours and it'll be back to normal. Same thing happens with my Xperia Z
I unplugged my g2 like 20 minutes ago and its still at 100% :v:
My Galaxy Nexus won't even charge fully, only up to 97-98% (on USB this is, haven't tried a socket)
(on USB this is, haven't tried a socket)
That's probably why, USB 2.0 doesn't put out anywhere near the current of a decent charger
Can Nexus 5 run TouchWiz?
No, TouchWiz is far too awesome for puny Google-made handsets.
