Is there an app that can show a nice pretty graph of your battery level?
LG has switched the default one with this:

And you can't really take good screenshots of that.

I kinda like it, shows more information than the default graph, like the percentages and estimate
Speaking of estimates, Google should add an average usage line to the data graph, I like being able to see whether or not I'll fit under my data limit for the month
Oh, found one. It's called Battery Widget but it's more than just a widget.
[t]http://i.cubeupload.com/FgDgN0.png[/t]
Right now it just shows the estimate but I guess after some time it starts displaying the graph correctly.
yeah, Battery Widget will learn from your usage and display quite accurate estimates after a few charges.

I searched for battery widget on the Play Store and had to go through about 6-7 different apps before finding the one you're using. So here's the link for anyone who wants it.
That's probably why, USB 2.0 doesn't put out anywhere near the current of a decent charger
Still, my Nexus 5, which has a more powerful battery, can go to 100% on USB.
The only difference I see between my old 2.0 charger and the new 3.0 charger is that the old one put out 5V at 1.0a, and the new one puts out 5V at 2.2a. Sort of like a trickle charge in comparison
The 3.0 charger ( I have 0 idea what you're talking about) being 2.2A means nothing unless your phone is capable of utilizing it. What it means is you can pull a max of 2.2 amperes from the charger, which should cover most phones. While the 2.0 charger will only give you 1 Amp max. So if you have a 2A device (like the Nexus 7 2012), and you charge it with the 2.0 charger, it'll take roughly twice as long as with the 3.0 charger, because it's only getting half the amperage and half the wattage, half the energy, etc.
but that's pretty much exactly what i was saying in my post
[editline]18th May 2014[/editline]
if you have a device that requires the higher power to charge, trying to charge it through 1.0a is going to be really slow if not just fail to charge the device. i remember trying to use one of my buddy's old micro-USB chargers a while back for my Galaxy S2 and i would actually lose battery while plugged in because it just didn't pump out enough power
the fact that you said permit test implies you're under 18.
in California if you're under 18 you aren't allowed to use any sort of hands free equipment for your phone
Was there another way to say it? Everyone I know calls it something like that, or "get your permit", I'm young but not that young, I turn 20 this November, I took the driving test last year, so it's not exactly forgotten.
Anyways back on topic, speaking of chargers, anyone stuck with way more charging blocks than devices?

Yeah, I didn't really understand what you meant about the trickle charging, so I though I'd try to clear some things up.

Turn it sideways, it gets somewhat bigger.
General question: How long do you guys see your battery lasting per 1000mAh?
I've only been seeing approximately 1 day/1000mAh at home compared to 1.5 at college with my old S3 but my phone spends a lot of time grasping at bad signal at home so I'm hoping the free signal booster I just ordered from T-Mobile fixes that.

Nexus 5 has a 2300mAH battery. Depends on my usage. I can see myself lasting 3 days if I have it on stand by, taking occasional photos, text messaging and some calls before it goes to 15 percent. So I guess 1.5 days per 1000mAH

Oh as we talk about USB charging, I found this option in CM the other day:

I've tried charging my phone through USB, and it charged as quickly as the USB wall wart I'm using.

if i did the math right, 3.21435 hours/1000mAh.

I burn through my Galaxy Nexus' 2100mAh battery in a few hours at work.
It's been a slow couple months.
although, assuming my battery life stays on the same slope, i'll get 5.178675 hours/1000mAh. all i've done with my phone today is listen to music (for about 9 hours now) and take 5 pictures.
I'm gonna see how long I can last tomorrow. Got dragging into going out doing stuff. Will take photos and videos, it's cloudy so no need for max screen brightness but might as well, listen to music going there and back, will bring power bank.
My extended battery usually lasts 4 to 5 days so it's 92.6/hour on average i guess
My Nexus 5 battery lasts 4 hours
Ingress...
I got the Galaxy Nexus last year because it was dirt cheap and I grabbed a replacement battery for it. I can squeeze 12 hours out of it before hitting 10%, and with BatteryDefender it lasts ridiculously longer. I don't really care to have my phone last longer than when I wake up and sleep, so I charge it every night happy with what I got out of it.
Ingress...
I will never understand why you guys play that when it absolutely wrecks battery life
I played it for about a week, stopped after I realised you basically can't do shit until level 8
It's just like World of Warcraft, just with more grinding and exercise
It feel really weird being on a ROM which does not have a XDA thread anymore. It is like being stranded not knowing what to do. Should I reflash or should I wait for a new thread if there is any.
Shit sucks. I need my nightlies!
I forgot, but is Paranoid Android better with battery life than Cyanogenmod?
In fact, what kind of special features PA have comared to CM?
I'm really considering flashing PA now.
It's been absolutely phenomenal for me. When the screen is off, it just sips battery. Something in the realm of ~1% an hour.

1% in an hour is supposed to be normal. That's the battery drain the Google Play Services target (or less if feasible) when you have all the fancy location shit turned on
1% in an hour is supposed to be normal. That's the battery drain the Google Play Services target (or less if feasible) when you have all the fancy location shit turned on
Sure beats the Samsung default of ~5% an hour and the CyanogenMod default of "different battery life every day"
Too bad the ROM scene sucks ass for my phone, though.
