I did notice my battery usage has always been extremely varying. Sometimes I get sudden drains, or it uses more battery after I have been browsing on Facepunch. I always do turn off my WiFi and close down Opera completely, but these power saps keep occuring. So, yes right now I'm preparing to install PA on my phone.
Did I mention the Z2 has perfect battery life yet? It is magical. Like, I just leave bluetooth on ALL THE TIME now. I put no effort into closing apps. THE PHONE IS ALWAYS AWAKE.
Damn that sound good, how long does it last? A friend of mine says it lasts like a week, and he uses it more than I use my GT-I9001 by average.
Sure beats the Samsung default of ~5% an hour and the CyanogenMod default of "different battery life every day" Too bad the ROM scene sucks ass for my phone, though.
I get 0.4 to 0.7% per hour using the stock battery of my Galaxy Note 3 :v: (however I do have nearly all the bloatware uninstalled or disabled... but it shouldn't make much of a difference, it didn't before)
I got my Nexus 5 ridiculously fast. It was supposed to leave the warehouse tomorrow. I got it two hours ago.

Holy shit, I got PA set up in a hour, and right now I'm installing all my apps on it again. AKA I'm using my phone very aggressively right now, but the battery stays at 46% for longer than CM would when usin the phone. Whenever I even browse FP my battery usage was always high, guess not anymore.
I feel tempted to go to PA but there's only a port for 4.2, or possibly Omni since that's got official support. I dunno which though.
I'm having the worst problem on PA where I can't answer phone calls and it is super frustrating.
I'm having the worst problem on PA where I can't answer phone calls and it is super frustrating.
Mine works, but it takes me phone a bit of coaxing to realize I have taken it away from my ear and for it to wake up. I can basically never hang up my own calls.
lol PA use omnirom
Self-built CM 10.2 representin' [sp]i still can't get wifi to work on cm11 for some reason[/sp]
lol PA use omnirom
maybe again one day
maybe again one day
So far PA does the job fine for me, I notice since I run this OS my phone takes it's time better to charge the battery. Usually I make sure my battery needs charging overnight, but usually my phone finishes charging at 2 AM or something, making it stay on the charger unnecessarily until 7:15 AM, that's just the only reason I usually wait for my phone to finish charging when it's about to hit 90%
I'd love to try Omni but it's taken forever to be ported to the Moto G, and the port that came out yesterday is broken to shit (broken sound and broken mobile network? seriously? On a device that basically runs AOSP? How do you fuck it up that badly?)
Hey guys, I have a question. Bought the Nexus 4 last year in March and after a few months - someone bumped into me and I accidentally dropped it onto the concrete - needless to say the phone was no longer useable (shattered glass, broken digitizer, LCD is still fine though.) So I sent it in to LG Repair Care (in May of 2013, not now.) And due to some miscommunications on both my part and LG's, my phone was sent back to me as is, unrepaired. Fast-forward to today, I'm getting tired of using a cheap flip-phone that has barely any minutes, spotty service, and just not that good - so I found my Nexus 4 and wondered if I should send it in for repairs for around ~$150 - or spend even moreso on getting a new phone, like the Nexus 5 or HTC One, which I could get either for $300 (HTC One M7 used for around $350.) Which would be the better route? I feel the Nexus 4 is still good for now and isn't vastly outdated, but I'm not quite certain
Damn that sound good, how long does it last? A friend of mine says it lasts like a week, and he uses it more than I use my GT-I9001 by average.
It will last me two days unless I really try to drain it
Been thinking of swapping over to Android from my iPhone 4, which android phone would anyone recommed as a good switch over from an iPhone 4?
wow, when the lighting conditions are right, the S5 really takes great HDR pictures. http://share.manandtumor.com/IMG_20140519_120109.jpg
First post on this part of the forums. Here goes... Phone: Motorola Moto X Android Version: 4.4.2 ROM: Motorola X8 Mobile Computing System Unrooted No external SD Card Homescreen pictures can be found here: 1 and 2 I only have about 20 non-stock apps installed, and I only use about 5 of them regularly. I have a rooted Note 1 and HTC Vivid, but the Vivid is broken, and the Note 1 sucks.

So I want to move from CM to PA or Omnirom, which one do you guys recommend more? Also whats a way I can back up all my texts and transfer them over? I like having everything
So I want to move from CM to PA or Omnirom, which one do you guys recommend more? Also whats a way I can back up all my texts and transfer them over? I figured out why I couldn't answer phone calls. For some reason the Nexus 5 has trouble answering calls when connected to Sprint 4G service. I Googled the problem and it happens even on stock. That's awesome.

Also lets me go through all my texts nicely on my laptop.
15 and a half hours on my battery and its at 38% I'd be lucky to get 9 hours on my old phone even in deep sleep. Mobilicity is still as slow as it is (2Mbps down) , even in downtown Toronto where Wind mobile would easily go to 10Mbps down.
So, I'm finally switching to a smartphone. I've decided to go Android. What are some good phones on the market right now? I've been looking at the Nexus 5/7. Are they really that good?
