both 3 and giffgaff have no unlimited tethering plans. :/ at least, as far as i'm aware.
Yeah I think no provider does unlimited tethering anymore in the UK (although I could be wrong). For 3 it comes at the compromise of "free" 4G If you were with 3 before 2014 you keep unlimited tethering though [editline]3rd June 2014[/editline] Wowee I just checked, been capped to 2GB tethering apparently ty for telling me 3
My friend hasn't been capped for tethering on 3. How do they even check you're tethering anyway?
I'd get him to check the online/app bit, cause I've been with them for about 4 years with unlimited tethering now it's saying I've got a 2GB cap.
But he downloads gigabytes of stuff, much more than 2GB, it doesn't stop or charge him more
Can someone with a S5 play this video on their phone and tell me if theres a purple trail behind the black box? [editline]3rd June 2014[/editline] cause there is on my phone. also excuse the shit quality, my premiere pro is broken and won't respect the render settings.
I'm gonna get unlimited LTE this Friday so I'll see if I can tether on it. I'll also see if there is any cap of any kind. The retentions rep said it was unlimited, that I should use it normally as if I was connected to wifi so I'm pretty sure it's real unlimited. The speeds should stay LTE and not throttle my speeds at all. Will do hourly speed tests :v:
Is there any way in Android to make your phone take it easy with charging your battery? I got this thing whenever I charge my device when going to sleep, that it finishes charging in like three hours, which just keeps it unnecessarily on the charger for the rest of the night.
how do I update a rooted phone?
Is there any way in Android to make your phone take it easy with charging your battery? Depending on what phone you have, the charger it comes with will have a specific charging Ampere. That Ampere amount is designed so it will charge your phone at a good speed without overloading the internal charging circuits in your phone. When your phone is that 100 percent, it kinda stops charging until it goes to 90-95 percent then charges it up again. Phones are designed to handle being left plugged in when it's already at 100 percent so realistically nothing bad would happen. Overcharging can happen which can lead to issues but that's pretty rare. If you really want to charge your phone slower, get a charger that has a lower Ampere rating listen on it's output or charge phone via USB port on your computer. Usually those are 0.5A. So if your charger is 2A, it would take 4 times as long to charge. Charging slowly could also effect battery life and damage stuff as much as charging too fast.
how do I update a rooted phone?
what phone?

All of them do that. Somehow, Samsung fucked up the OLED panels and they all have a purple smear every time you have grey on black action
Unless hangouts gets really good with a proper client and SMS sync I'm probably gonna go for the 4.7" iPhone. Can't hurt to try it just once. [editline]3rd June 2014[/editline] holy shit an 8GB 5C is more expensive than a 32GB Nexus 5 fuck that
holy shit an 8GB 5C is more expensive than a 32GB Nexus 5 fuck that
Welcome to apple.
So I downloaded the factory image for N5 off google shouldn't there be more files in here? [t]http://5crat.ch/a/dt5q[/t]
You downloaded the .tar.something file The application read the compressed file, which gives you a .tar file The files you want are inside the .tar file you're looking at right now
I swear Chrome has been a behemoth worse then the old Firefox in memory consumption
Nonsense, it's great, I'm going to just open Google Play Music now and spawn five processes
Trying out paranoid android, where the hell are those per app dpi settings? Or global dpi in general? I don't even have that separated view in settings.
Trying out paranoid android, where the hell are those per app dpi settings? Or global dpi in general? I don't even have that separated view in settings.
They haven't added that stuff back in yet.
They haven't added that stuff back in yet.
Back in? Why would they remove it even? So this is pretty much a stock android rom then..
Oh okay. This is better than touchwhizz at least. Kinda annoying how big everything is though
Back in? Why would they remove it even? So this is pretty much a stock android rom then..
A shitload of the Android codebase was changed going from 4.3 to 4.4 You can't just merge the old changes in and hope for the best.
been using 4.1 for a year now, but it got really unstable lately proximity sensor still doesn't work well now either seems to be a hardware issue, gotta turn it off then and have it lit while calling.. [editline]4th June 2014[/editline] pretty interesting is how the call quality has quadrupled with this new firmware, i could barely hear people before and i thought it was normal
why did i not root sooner xposed+gels+gravitybox owns
You downloaded the .tar.something file The application read the compressed file, which gives you a .tar file The files you want are inside the .tar file you're looking at right now
I'm looking at 7z's address bar, that is the .tar file So I'm pretty sure that's a filesystem image of some sort.

phones with full qwerty keyboards should return would buy in an instant
phones with full qwerty keyboards should return would buy in an instant
Sony please make a Z1 compact but with a slide out physical keyboard. I wouldn't buy it but I'm sure many people will. I wanted to like install Backtrack onto my phone when I got it.. because it had a keyboard... brb making GUI
phones with full qwerty keyboards should return would buy in an instant
I used my Desire Z/T-Mobile G2 for 4 years and paid full price for it a week after release. I was absolutely in love with that phone up until the end. Honestly, in the last 8 months with my LG G2 I don't really want it or anything about it back. I want to see better battery life and better specs. The LG G2 and the LG G3 are about perfect for what I want right now and can currently perceive. I'd rather see smarter and more accurate digitizers. I really wouldn't mind seeing them come back but it's going to be a crap underspec'd phone. We're just finally reaching the point where our phones are actually fluid, budget phones are finally smooth and they don't wildly let you down by not being quick enough to react in a situation where time and reaction is critical.
if the n900 wasn't so slow by todays standards and had android - i'd still use it having a full blown bash terminal in your pocket and pure linux kernels.. oh boy [editline]4th June 2014[/editline] umm photo sphere and blur is cool i guess but where are my advanced camera settings? can't seem to find metering/iso values anywhere
umm photo sphere and blur is cool i guess but where are my advanced camera settings? can't seem to find metering/iso values anywhere
You can turn on "manual" exposure in the advanced settings, and that just lets you offset it by 1 or 2 stops, if you want more you need a different camera app
