You can turn on "manual" exposure in the advanced settings, and that just lets you offset it by 1 or 2 stops, if you want more you need a different camera app
well that's shitty the default samsung application and cyanogenmods lets you do that even
Oh okay. This is better than touchwhizz at least. Kinda annoying how big everything is though
Download Root browser, open /system/build.prop and change ro.lcd_density to your desired value. Then you can use Xposed and App settings to change the DPI for individual apps.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.texdroider.texdroider_dpi I use textdroider_dpi to change my dpi whenever I dirty flash, it makes it super easy to tweak. I use 430 dpi on my 5.2" screen.
you people and your fancy dpi values, back in the day we used 240 dpi on 720p devices, and we liked it
290 DPI on my Note one. Not too small and not too huge. Thank god the rom I am using has support for DPI changes. Edit: Changed it to 430 for shits and giggles, everything is fucking huge now and makes Nova launcher FC resulting in a never ending loop of Lockscreen -> Nova launcher -> Lockscreen ->... Great..
DPI is different to different resolutions, the LG G2 is a 1080p device. When I use 240 as a DPI, it looks like this. wasn't someone here working on an sms sync app?
Is there any way to use ADB on a GT-S570i which currently does not have a OS installed at all? This phone is still fucked up after it has been in a drawer for a long time. I read TWRP does have ADB sideload, but I can't find anything about it. I really need to find a way to get this thing back from the grave, as the recovery can't mount /system, cache and a other partition I can't remember.
Moto G backcover just arrived. Went with the most buttugly coloured one! [t]http://i.imgur.com/tuRa3PP.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/n5qP0vh.jpg[/t] Now I just need a Moto G to put it on :v:
Girlfriend got a G2. Played with it, officially jealous and now I really hate my Samshit Note 2 :( [editline]4th June 2014[/editline] It doesn't help that I switched back to stock Samsung ROM (i.e. the official OTA) and things are still crashing. Turn my phone on this morning when the alarm goes off, "Google+ has stopped responding." I don't even use Google+! What's it doing in the background?

Are you in a bad coverage area or could your SIM card/phone be damaged (or you possibly flashed a bad radio)?
I'm looking at 7z's address bar, that is the .tar file So I'm pretty sure that's a filesystem image of some sort.
I went over to the factory images page Google provides now, the file offered there is .tgz, aka .tar.gz Not sure why the address bar in the program has wrong file extension.
So is there a standard procedure to update a rooted phone or do I have to do a factory reset? Also, where can I go to learn more about the technical modding stuff? I feel kind of clueless trying things with my phone right now...

Maybe there's a problem with the network or something.

Mine had similar problems before it got really bad.
yeah just in case people were wondering, the S5's camera is completely done an injustice with samsung's shitty camera app. the camera and sensor itself is great but you need a third party app to be able to really get the best quality out of it. hell, even with the motion stabilization about 1/3 of my photos came out blurry i'm having this issue in stock 4.4.2 where notifications don't go away after i click them in the tray. they'll only disappear and the notification light will only go out if i manually click the "clear" button. and even then, the little notification numbers next to app icons will still stay there. any ideas? Apparently the Hangouts battery drain bug has been fixed by Google. An update is coming out shortly. Maybe now my phone won't eat 5% Battery everyone hour!
5% every hour seems pretty normal to me? i rarely use my phone, and even then it's at ~50% when i get home from work
I trimmed my phone so that it only consumes ~1% an hour when I am not using it. Hangouts pretty much has over 50% in Battery drainage when I check in the battery menu.
The battery drain issues with Hangouts seems to have been fixed before the recent update when I cleared the data and cache of Hangouts and Google play services.
