Can someone suggest which of these three I should get from my carrier? This is just to pay for the phone for 24 months along with a £50 initial fee.

Or is there something else I could be getting? I have the HTC One M7 at the moment and I have no real incentive to upgrade at the moment, but I'm just looking at what options I have right now.
might as well stay with your m7
Upgrading from last years flagship is dumb.
Yeah, honestly flagship devices have gotten very incremental as far as performance goes.
Hence why I still wouldn't mind getting myself a Moto X.

I would personally stay with the M7, but if you held a gun up to my head and told me to pick one I would say the HTC One M8.
This might sound like a very basic question, but is there a way to fluidly manage your music like how iTunes worked with the iPod product for Android?
The problem is that I can't get Album artwork to properly upload, or title tracks to properly change if there is improper capitalization/wrong artist name.
I am re-ripping/downloading all my music for my Nexus 5 and even though I've been on Android for four years now, this is nothing I have done. It's been a giant pain in the ass to get this functioning.
OK so I flashed a zip that is supposed to fix Nexus 5 issues with tethering and it works now woo

You could use Google Play Music? I'm pretty sure that allows metadata to be changed. You can upload 20,000 songs to it and then just pin the music you want on your phone.

i'd make sure your metadata is fine before uploading though

You can definitely do it on the online thing and your phone will update accordingly (though not necessarily immediately because of the way the sync service works)
I haven't tried on the phone itself though.
So I ordered my Nexus 5 last night at 2AM, so technically today, and when I got home from work it was there waiting for me. Like holy shit, that's insane. Major props to Google for that. I am just blown away by how fast that took.
Now to set it up.

The power of modern day shipping
The power of modern day shipping
The fastest package I've ever received took two days so excuse me if I'm a little speechless when I got one in under 16 hours.
I broke T-Mobile's data cap today, and although the connection is much slower, it's still plenty enough to web browse and get push stuff in the background. I'm quite impressed they didn't throttle to the point of being unusable.
Friendly reminder to back up your shit. I got into a boot loop and I had to restore to an image from 5 months ago. Everything is all wonky and fucked but probably fixable.
Gonna try the Moto X next week with the new trial thing they had sunday night! wooh!
Pushbullet and EvolveSMS come to save the day with being able to view and reply to SMS messages on your computer.

Cool feature, except you have to use EvolveSMS. Though I already have this through Telenor, and I even get my entire text log since I started using the service or something. Only problem is that whatever I send doesn't show up on my phone, and the app takes up a bit of network and memory.
Rogers has something similar called One Number where you can sms via your desktop browser or tablet. Pretty handy especially when it's unlimited sending if done via one Number..

Yeah, I got mine two days early as well. I played the order Friday night and it was here Monday morning.

That's one thing I really love about my Moto X. Motorola connect is a pretty slick bit of software.
fyi anyone trying the moto x for the try then buy:
the moto skip you get along with it is a free gift. you can return it if you want, but if you decide not to keep your phone, they don't care about the skip
Too bad that thing is Canada only
you have got to be fucking kidding me, so my new Nexus 5 is broken already, it keeps restarting, over and over every couple of minutes.
I completely put everything to stock, and i mean everything, and it still doesn't work.
another hardware failure, so I have to go to T-mobile store tomorrow, and they will investigate it, and probably overnight me another one if they cant fix this one.
So I've had a nexus 10 for ages, and I don't have too many apps
What are some great ones? I don't have any limiting factors, just throw some at me. Also some good games, because most of the ones on the play store are shithouse

What plan are you on? I have the unlimited and I've blown through 60gb+ with no throttling in sight.
T-Mobile's pretty awesome with their data, the "throttling" basically just brings you to like .5mbps and 400+ ping. It's perfect for doing pretty much anything, I used to listen to Pandora and go a gig or so over.
I'd like to see anyone else blow over their data cap and not incur thousands of dollars of overage fees :v:

Was about to run out of my DeskSMS trial
I use both these apps, so it's pretty convenient for me :D

Whats the best way to transfer all of my data, like apps and shit, over to a new phone?
IF I get a new one, unlock the bootloader, and perhaps flash a new OS, I don't really have the patience for the progress to start over.

I'm on the free 1GB tier, and my usage actually just reset, but I'm probably gonna grab the 3GB plan next month. Although, I have been tempted to grab the unlimited plan for $20 more, and just see how much data I can suck down.
