The Nexus 5 battery blows the Nexus 4's out of the water. I could NEVER get 5 hours screen on time on the 4.
I barely get 2 hours on my LG 4X HD...
I hate this fucking phone >:c
Installed the latest cyanogenmod for my GS2 which is now at 4.4.3, that was fine. Then got the latest Gapps for 4.4.3 and did a fresh(ish) install by formatting the system partition, then installing both again through CWM, holy shit everything broke. Constant messages about google services and apps not responding over and over, tried a factory reset and did it all again, same problem.
Just gave up and used my backup, thank god.
I had Google keyboard constantly crash, re-downloaded and flashed gapps and it worked.
So is the Xiaomi Power Bank a good choice if I wanted some extra power?

If you don't mind lugging it around and can find one that isn't a fake, yes.

I was going to order directly from xiaomiworld.com. Is there a better place to get one from?

I guess that's a good place to get it, I think the xiaomi website links to it.

I just tried it and it works. I think it's for android and ios only tho.
Had a bad experience with AT&T and my Nexus 5 insurance claim today, This isn't just the regular here's a g2 since we don't have nexus's thing.
I went to AT&T and the rep instantly told me that it'd be 1000x faster if you did it over the phone and handed me the number, That's perfectly fine and is true. Anyway so i call and got the worst fucking ausirfuckyourshit representive EVER
Note: During the entire convo there was laughing and noise in the background
Rep: Hello my name is ---- how can i help you today
Me: Hi, I'd like to file a claim on my nexus 5 that i have with at&t but wanted to ask what deductible and phone i was looking at getting since they don't carry one
Rep: okay your phone number
Me: -phone number-
Rep: Okay what phone do you have starting with the brand and model
Me: LG Nexus 5
Rep: LG Galaxy 5?
Me: Sorry no, LG Nexus 5.
Rep: An LG flex 5?
Me: No, a L G N E X U S 5
Rep: A LG NEYES 5?
Me: LG N as in nacy E as in earn X as xalophone U as in utopia S as in star
Rep: you said an LG Nexus 5?
Me: YES.
Rep: okay did you bring it in or buy it with at&t
Me: I brought it in
Rep: okay give me a few minutes
-hold for 15 minutes-
Rep: okay at&t doesn't carry this phone
Me: I know, I wanted to know what equivalent would be given.
Rep: okay so you want to file a claim?
Me: If i don't have to i'd rather find out what i'd be given before filing a claim
Rep: we have to file a claim for that info
Me: Okay.
Rep: okay give me a minute
-hold for 10 minutes-
Rep: okay so your deductible would be 299$ and we would give you a LG G2
Me: 299? My phone is only a hundred bucks more and i paid 40 bucks of insurance since i got the phone.
Rep: Thats what it is.
Me: Is the phone replacement refurbished?
Rep: uhhh i dont know -cutoff-
-hold for 10 minutes-
Rep: Yeah it is
Me: What size is the internal storage
Rep: The what?
Me: How many gigabytes does it have
Rep: 16gigabytes
Me: Mine is a 32gb how is this even a fair replacement?
Me: Is the device unlocked or locked?
Rep: what do you mean?
Me: Is the phone locked to a carrier?
Rep: uhhh, duh? they are all.
Me: What? You know what cancel the claim, i'd like to speak to a supervisor.
Rep: -SHE HANGSUP-
So I called AT&T, I was pissed as shit, If i was offered a LG G2 for 299 even locked i'd consider it.
AT&T Rep: Hi how can i help you
Me: I'd like to close my account, you guys have been great for 7 years but my experience with the insurance company you sponsor is the worst.
AT&T Rep: What happened?
- Explains what happens
AT&T Rep: I'm going to call ausirion and see whats up
-hold for 5 minutes-
AT&T Rep: Okay, so it seems like they aren't budging on this issue at hand, even though they also insure other companies that carry your nexus 5 because of the contract they have with us they refuse to give you a phone they literally carry for other companies.
AT&T Rep: Give me 2 minutes to transfer you to public relations.
-Transfered-
AT&T Rep PR: Okay, so i understand the issue and apologize, you aren't the first person to have an issue with the nexus 5, I'm going to ask you not to leave us since you've been loyal i'm going to remove the insurance off your account and credit you for the amount you've paid since then. I'd recommend you take a look at bestbuy and squaretrade for insurance as they have some better plans then ausirion. Ontop of which i'm applying a 25$ discount which is the maximum i can do myself without escalating it higher then me.
^ Because of that I'm staying with AT&T For now, At the present moment even with a 10% discount unlimited texting,5gb data and 450 minutes i'm paying 100 a month. Tmobile on the other hand is around 80 plus tax for unlimited all and 5gb tethering with is better then just flat 5gb usage from AT&T.
Time to buy another white nexus 32gb out of pocket, but insure through squaretrade this time.
White Nexus 5 bro!
White Nexus 5 bro!
funny story i bought a black one 32gb and quickly ordered a white 32gb after i got my 32gb black. The white is so much better
<insurance>
Yeah, my parents found this out the hard way about carrier insurance. My sister's iphone fell into a puddle. Still worked, but gets really flaky. Apparently there was a $150 deductible on a nearly 2 year old iPhone 4S. My father basically said "Fuck that" and told her to suck it up until we upgrade this year since it still "works".
Irony is, if my father or I had busted phones, there would be no deductible, since we have Android devices. Only reason she had a deductible was because she had an iPhone. Seriously, what the fuck.
insurance problem
weirrrd. AT&T is repairing the issues on my phone for free, minus the battery.
[editline]16th June 2014[/editline]
what are some good root apps/whatever.

I used 65GB worth of tethering on my LG G2 last month, the tethering is a stock software bullshit thing. If you flash a non-stock rom or have a Nexus 5 it's non-existent.
T-Mobile also doesn't have any sort of overage fees related to data, if you blow over the 3GB data plan you can keep using it all you want but it's much slower than the upto* 55mbps which I get on their LTE.
T-Mobile also roams on AT&T networks, however you won't get their HSPA/3G since it's on a different band sadly.
T-Mobile's support is also pretty great too, never dealt with anyone who wasn't super friendly and helpful unlike any time I've had to call Sprint for my GF just to trade phones with her friend for a LG G2 that took 2 hours and hounded me to pay their bill but eventually wasn't that bad.
So, if I root my nexus 10 will I be able to fix it if it fucks up?
Also what kind of things can I run if I root it, what are some cool things? Cause I rooted my PSP and it was great ages ago

oddly enough I've had the opposite experience with sprint and t mobile customer service. When I started up my account with sprint I went across the street and picked up two pay as you go t mobile numbers to port over for a $100 per number credit and discount and when Sprint tried to port the numbers that had never been used t mobile tried to tell me I owed them $200 on one of the numbers, then they gave me the run around and transfered me back and forth several times, while the sprint rep stayed with me and cleared everything up. I've got so many discounts its ridiculous, My bill this month
for 2 G2's and an M8 all with unlimited data and a 1gb data plan for the free tablet they gave me is $80. :v:
blah blah phone fucks up phone company sucks etc etc business as usual™
i dont get why people still buy phones through carriers/do insurance with the carrier. buy the goddamn thing on amazon and when it fucks up RMA it. its just so much easier.
has anyone had any experience with extended batteries for the s4? I work outside all day without a charger near by and I use my phone often when there's nothing to do. ends up lasting me maybe 6 hours a day. I ordered a Hyperion 7500mah battery with a case backing so hopefully this works out considering the stock battery is like way less than that (I've done the math but can't remember the number)... Is there any way for Samsung to find out that I used a custom third party battery?
Flashing PA on my N5.
EDIT:
I flashed the wrong TWRP version, fucked everything up. Unfucked it by downloading a Factory 4.4.3 Image now im currently in the process of making the NANDROID Backup with a functioning TWRP. Wish me luck.
(Also i swear to christ i always soft brick my phones before rooting, did the same with my s3 back then, well one better learn the ins and outs of their Handset right?)
Friends S2 glass is completely shattered. What is a trusted ebay auction where he should look for a new one?
PA Flashed, and it seems to work like a charm c: (Hover is amazing but psssssshhhhh)
I have no idea where else to post this, so here it goes.
I recently got a Xperia Z (C6603) for my birthday, and for the first week it was perfectly fine.
Then out of the blue, the recharging LED starts acting up when I recharge it; sometimes it'll work and sometimes it wont. I deal with it because the thing is still charging anyway.
Last night I plugged my phone in to charge, when I woke up today the phone barely charged at all.
Today my phones battery level wildly fluctuated from 50% to 19% back up to 60% without me even plugging it into the wall.
It detects that the usb is plugged in, it just gets stuck on Not Charging. I've plugged the thing into my computer and it gets detected and it detects that it's plugged into my computer.
Just now I did a factory reset and it's still not working properly.
So for the time being I've had to power down my phone entirely and charge it that way. It seems to be the only way that works.
Anyone got any idea what the hell is going on with this thing? I could deal with the dead pixels but this is just ridiculous.
Sorry in advance if I'm posting this in completely the wrong place. :suicide:

It's seems faulty use the warranty on it to get it repaired.
Recently flashed CM11 onto my HTC Desire HD because it got a lot of praise for making the DHD run faster but all I've had is my phone freeze/go to the homescreen without me telling it to/random reset and Chrome runs stupidly slow on it. Used to have Jellytime flashed to it and it ran pretty smooth but it started getting stuck when booting up, same with PAC.
Any help?
