I was going to order directly from xiaomiworld.com. Is there a better place to get one from?
A great place for Power Panks!
My 64GB Sandisk Ultra μSD stopped working, won't let me write or format but only read. Anybody know how to fix this? In the mean time I've ordered a 64GB Samsung Evo μSD to replace it

Moto X is great, got mine in try before buy deal today
The Nexus 5 battery blows the Nexus 4's out of the water. I could NEVER get 5 hours screen on time on the 4.
I like how my potato can get almost 5 hours of screen on time almost 3 years later
so this is a thing

I hate having to choose between ROMs sometimes. I want to get rid of xposed and use ART but to do that I want icon theming in GNL and Voice+ built-in. I can get those in CM but CM performs like ass and is really buggy for some reason. PA is nice but performance on the Moto G is iffy and it's still a bit buggy. These Omni builds don't have either of those things but it runs amazingly...But it also has broken-ish audio and seems to be kind of...hacked together.
Bah.

Give it some more time. I'd recommend just using whichever one is most stable. Stability is worth more than ART.
i dont get why people still buy phones through carriers/do insurance with the carrier. buy the goddamn thing on amazon and when it fucks up RMA it. its just so much easier.
We still have the whole GSM/CDMA problem. Buying unlocked GSM phones is no problem with AT&T and T-Mobile, but here in the upper midwest, AT&T can have a lot of dead areas, and T-Mobile barely exists (as far as we're concerned, they are brand new carriers). As a result, Verizon is pretty much the de facto carrier for everybody. Unlocked CDMA phones from Verizon or Sprint just don't exist. You can buy it at full price to avoid the contract, but you still have to deal with carrier bullshit when it comes to updates and RMAs.
In other words, mobile networks in the US suck and are riddled with technicalities, gotchas, and incompatible standards.

And that's the problem, nothing is that stable. Omni is the best performance/memory usage wise, even better than stock, but...bah
at&t and t-mobile are getting rid of buying phones on contract too so there's literally no reason to buy a phone from at&t

oddly enough I've had the opposite experience with sprint and t mobile customer service. When I started up my account with sprint I went across the street and picked up two pay as you go t mobile numbers to port over for a $100 per number credit and discount and when Sprint tried to port the numbers that had never been used t mobile tried to tell me I owed them $200 on one of the numbers, then they gave me the run around and transfered me back and forth several times, while the sprint rep stayed with me and cleared everything up. I've got so many discounts its ridiculous, My bill this month
for 2 G2's and an M8 all with unlimited data and a 1gb data plan for the free tablet they gave me is $80. :v:
Well T-Mobile and Sprint are merging and the plans are supposedly for Sprint to fold into T-Mobile. Now Verizon is alone in it's CDMA usage with Sprint's plans already to decommission theirs for a move to pure LTE or something like that.
I'm honestly excited about what could possibly be done here if they pull it off. Softbank wants to steamroll AT&T/Verizon and make them look like chumps by bringing us up to par with the rest of the world. T-Mobile's brand has the ability to do this but they don't have a ton of backing and their parent company has wanted to sell them since before they were even that good. If they can whip Sprint up into shape and restructure it into something that isn't a faltering mass of old tech, legacy hardware, a decaying backbone of business plans and actually use it to propel T-Mobile into being serious competition on a Verizon level of business. It really might just work out amazing since there's the people who want to do it.
Softbank wants to actually take on Comcast, Verizon Fios and wired broadband. They're shooting for 200mbps connections that are readily available and beat the hell out of physical connections. This is literally what I've always imagined and wished for. With Softbank taking on Sprint and Clearwire we could really see some serious alternatives to our shitty cable monopolies that actually want to innovate and can.

How do I keep Google out of my music folder? Having a photo album for every music album takes up a lot of space. I'm using a Nexus 5.

Remove the album art from the folder. They should be embedded in the music files anyway.

Fixed it. Gave my phone a good thwack on the back and applied some pressure on the back and front where the usb port is when I plugged the fucker in.
I'll still have to send it in to get fixed properly but at least I can charge the damn thing now. :v:

I was told and shown countless times that Verizon literally has the best coverage all over America with the best speeds in general.

considering that niantic labs only has people at those cities at the Google buildings there, it makes more sense
as rich as they are, they aren't flying someone to new York to hide two packages

except that would hide the music from most players too

not once in my life have i needed to check if a phone would actually get phone network!
back the stuff up and keep trying to format it. If not, RMA
I did do a full backup, that's not an issue. Turns out these cards set themselves to readonly when they detect a fault. I contacted SanDisk for an RMA and I'm just going through the warranty process. At least I can still listen to all the music on my card anyway since readonly doesn't effect that :v:
Newest PA update fixed the chrome omnibox issue, friggin finally.
I hope it fixed the google keyboard and theme provider crashing issues.

To be fair, areas with dead signal are prevalent in any country with a low population density. As long as you live in a moderately sized city, you're pretty much good to go.
[editline]17th June 2014[/editline]
Like god damn if I didn't just install swiftkey in around half a second over LTE in an area with only a couple of stores.
[editline]17th June 2014[/editline]
Also SwiftKey is free now woo
I need help. Here's a list of my fuck-ups:
I'm using a Motorola Pro+ bought in Dubai. Now, the thing here is, I'm Portuguese. Motorola is dead in Portugal. There are no phone repair spots with any pieces for any of the Motorola phones. Why's that relevant? Pro+ can't use flashlight apps. I tried using one and now the camera won't work. Well shite.
2nd thing is, still stuck on Android 2.5.3. No clue how to update phone without bricking it, so I'm thinking of getting a Sony Xperia Miro. Any thoughts or tips?
Edit:
Forgot to mention it can't connect to wifi since about a month ago.
What do you do when it comes to system updates on a rooted device? This is my first system update since I rooted my nexus 7 (no custom firmware, just unlocked boot loader and rooted) I don't want to update yet because of what I've read about 4.4.3 but it would be nice to know for the future.

basically: you might just have to reflash superuser.zip
that's it though
[editline]17th June 2014[/editline]
if you use xposed, you have to disable the xposed framework before installing the update

wait, why? where did you get this frmo? i havent done this for an android update ever.
Thanks LordCrypto

Wait, what? I was under the impression that since it modified systme files, updates wouldn't install? Anyways, you really should do it. You won't lose your modules or anything, you just need to disable/uninstall Xposed while you update.

The closer you are to a city foreigners are likely to know about, the better your connectivity choices are.
You could live out in the sticks but if that particular part is within a few hours of Seattle you're still OK.
