Now to figure out how to tether on my phone and make my router use it as the Internet source..
If you got a laptop/desktop with a wireless card, you can tether to it, then share the connection out through the ethernet port (most of them have this), then plug your router in there.

Unable to update my Nexus 5 to 4.4.3 still. I've gotten the OTA update and it downloads, then resets into TWRP?
Guys.... Im on the fence. Im with AT&T my last phone was a HTC One X, my contact was able to renewed and I got the HTC One M7. I... I'm just not that pleased with it.. Anyone here suggest getting the S4/S5? I work in a metal shop and metal shavings are everywhere and get inside the speakers and kill them, would the IP67bullshit the samsung has stop that from happening? [editline]fkvghn[/editline] Convince me that having a phone with a removable battery and a sd card would be better in the long term.

I really doubt the IP67 rating would effect it much rather than preventing metal shavings in the USB port .
Unable to update my Nexus 5 to 4.4.3 still. I've gotten the OTA update and it downloads, then resets into TWRP?
were you running a stock ROM when you got the update?
were you running a stock ROM when you got the update?
Yeah, all I've done is gained root access with my phone.

Only 1 Google keyboard crash so far so I think I'm good. Nothing else broke.

Eventually you're going to bump into something sharp or have a hot droplet of metal land in your pocket and if your phone is in there it's done. Someone once told me that being near arc welding can damage electronics too, not sure how much truth is in that, but I've seen entire workbenches get quite strongly magnetized from it.

But..... I actually have to use my phone regularly at work making business calls. And yes I have herd that the arc from a stick welder can damage electronics, this is mainly in pacemakers and stuff. But I've had my old phone on its belt clip on the side of my welding helmet (on the inside) so I can hear it ring with it being ~6 inches from a arc and it still works great to this day.

Its just the heat and electricity I guess that fucks up my tools (usually clamps and pliers and such) to make them magnetic

Also you can both be connected to a network and broadcasting at the same time on a fair amount of computers wireless (Heck, my tablet does this)
I'm using a APK of the Lg G3 keyboard, i'm loving this.
aw fuck, now my phone wakes every few minutes, and betterbatterystats shows nothing at all
My Galaxy S Blaze 4G totally shit the bed. Started rebooting randomly on occasion, then it started doing is 10+ times a day, then my mic stopped working and now it won't turn on. So a nexus 5 is in the mail
really hoping Google will unveil a new Android OS, like 5.0 or something. and even a Nexus 6 reveal be nice.. only 5 more days.
really hoping Google will unveil a new Android OS, like 5.0 or something
Hopefully Google will update the camera API. Frankly the lack of manual focus fucking kills me
Hopefully Google will update the camera API. Frankly the lack of manual focus fucking kills me
oh man i loved my n900 manual focus in both photo & video mode, and you could even put it in standby mode and have it record
I hope there is some way to do manual focus, the default camera app often had problems focusing close scenes.

LG won't make Nexus 6 :cc http://www.kitguru.net/laptops/mobile/matthew-wilson/lg-wont-be-making-the-nexus-6/
That's what they said about the Nexus 5.
I doubt they will be replacing the N5 this time, flagships haven't improved and AFAIK the new SoC's still aren't ready or something. Maybe we'll see a price drop and a new Nexus 10? [editline]19th June 2014[/editline]
Get a dumb phone, they're cheaper, and they can take more damage.
Maybe a combo like a dumb phone and a Nexus 7 or a Moto G maybe? Something more easily replaceable and compact.
Get a dumb phone, they're cheaper, and they can take more damage.
Get a Nokia. Problem solved.
Get a Nokia. Problem solved.
nokia is dead
