I meant the location of it
What is the best way to determine a cause of extreme battery drainage?
I got a moto g recently and it loses 20% of the battery overnight while not being awake. If I got outside and enable data it's literally a 1%/minute drain, it's super annoying

Check if you have any wakelocks, and check how terrible your signal is indoors.
If it's poor signal, turn on airplane mode overnight. Also try disabling Location if you're not using it.

Oh, and disable syncing of anything you're not using.
Doing an RMA on my Nexus 5 means there'll be a authorization charge equal to the device cost until they (Google) determine the fault wasn't caused by me.
I'd rather fucking live with a spotty motor in my phone for now.

Well they send you a new Nexus 5, give you 7 days to ship your defective one back so it should be all good. Also free shipping on both packages. It's unlikely they'd thing you broken it :v:

I'm broke right now so it'd put me in the red.
Rma it later whenever you would be able to do the rma and not be in the red. You still have like 11 months of warranty. You can pretty much rma any time within.
Swapped my sim card with T-Mobile. Had a bad one apparently.

They sent me the links and everything before informing me of the authorization charge. Annoying.

Whatever, they can send the time sensitive link again later.
So, I'm new to the whole having a smart phone thing.
I bought a Samsung Galaxy S III from Straight Talk to use with their plan. However, upon using my phone, I've figured out that a lot of settings are completely missing. I can't change APN settings, I can't see any options for wireless tethering, etc.
Is there any reason for this? I read about other people having success with using these online, but they just don't exist on my phone.

Yeah, I'm just gonna do it in a month or something.

They should be under wireless & networks in the More... thing.
To anybody using the S4 i9505, I recommend using Project Chaos ROM. I installed 2.5.3 (Android 4.4.2) a few weeks ago and the performance and battery life is pretty fucking tops.

That's not even the best part.
It's not even Jelly Bean, if the notification style/debug is an indication, it's ICS. Plus no Google Now.
Oh, and it's says it has 16GB of internal storage, but only has 16MB of "Phone Storage" plus 300MB of space for apps.

You should use [t.] [./t] (remove the periods) to embed photos. Embeds the actual picture without it page stretching.
For example:

Middle-click the image and check out the picture in a new tab.

Middle-click is sadly a pain in the ass on a laptop :/
Middle-click is sadly a pain in the ass on a laptop :/
right-click, "open in new tab"
Middle-click is sadly a pain in the ass on a laptop :/
CTRL + Click
I know i know, but just one click is easier in my opinion. Also smaller images means faster loading time for the thread (especially on a smartphone...)
I don't know bout you but I consider myself to be a normal person
Unless by normal person you mean illiterate people, which wasn't said, and illiteracy is their own fault
Normal people being people that just buy a phone to use it as a phone and snapchat and shit. Not immediately replace the stock rom with an xxx-sn1p3r-nightly-experimental build.

Ok I probably should have said average user but lets not get hung up about terminology.

The options there are very limited. In these menus, where YouTubers have changed their settings in tutorials, the options just seem to not exist.

you probably have a different ROM than they do
I got some useful feedback posting my first app here, so I'm back with another (much more interesting) app called Fruity Bat. This app is basically iCopter meets Flappy Bird meets Minecraft, where you try to fly a bat as far into a randomly generated cave as possible, collecting cherries to boost your score:
